Samantha shook her head "Nope.. none yet." she said calmly as she diced up some meat into cubes. She was planning an entire meal out with a variety of food while at the sae time not using much. "I'm beinging to think im just not supposed to know anymore" she said calmly, over ninemonths and no memory, not even a feeling of rememberance. She'd spent so much time searching for a past but couldnt find anything "Oh well" she said her once seemingly depressed expretion turning to a smile "Thats life for you, a suprise here and there but things go as they should" she said calmly as she put the meat into a pan with an almost tomatoy sauce though it had peppers, onions and much more in it causing a delisious aroma to fil lthe room. She also began making some rice and tearing some lettuce for a salad.

"It will return if you are suposed to remember. These things can take a great deal of time but you don't even seem to care that you can't remember so, good for you." Kashan said. It was generaly a good thing when people stoped caring about things and just got on with thier lives, atleast that worked well for daemons. "Well, I am sure you will be welcome here for as long as you wish to stay... did Luna manage to find you a room?" he added. he may have been speaking out of place but he was sure that the owners of the manor would be kind enough to take her in for as long as needed since they took im in without question.

Samantha smiled "I second that" she said to the good for you comment. She was kinda ticked off about forgetting awile ago but she was a naturally optomistic person who always looked for a brighter side. As the meat finished cooking she stabed a pice with a fork and said "Time for the taste test"" she said and held the fork out to him. She already knew how it would taste to her but was curious if he would like it "Feel free to say it sucks" seh said calmly

Kashan walked closer and examined the meet infront of him for a moment before eating it. He let the flavour take its effect and he waited for a moment after swalloing to be sure. His saliva glands went into overlaod at the taste of the food and begged for more. "That is very nice. You are skilled... very skilled." he said, being very honest.

Samantha smiled and said "Ding ding ding, looks like we have a winner" she said "I though you would like that" she said calmly "You have an old way of speaking but thank you for the complement" she said as she poured the water out of the pot cooking the rice and poured some onto two plates that already had a small salad on them and then scouped out the meat onto the plate aw well. Grabbing two forks she set one of the plates down infront of him and said " Dig in" she said

'An old way of speaking?' Kashan thought. He started to hope that his lack of knowladge here wouldn't blow his cover, the last thing he wanted was to explain himself to a scared human, if she got scared by the facts. "Thank you for this." he said before he started to eat. It tastesd as good as it smelt and thanks to this Kashan wondered if he would be able to go back to the food of his homeland. During this moment of silence Kashan tried to this of something to say to create a conversation but he was drawing a blank on that one for now. What could he really say to a human? With other strange beings like vampires he did not need to hide anything and could talk of strange things with them without having them worry about his mental health.

Samantha looked at the plate and took a bit for a the food after swoling and the aquard silence she said "What did you meen when you said 'its better not to have a human know what we are' when i got here... i heard through the door when i slipped" she said calmly Taking another bite of the food on the plate she didnt really look at what it was and after swolowing again she said "You dont need to answer... im just curious" she said calmly before syaing "I think i heard wrong " she said calmly. She was giving him an escape route if he really didnt want to answer

Kashan almost choked on the food he had in his mouth at the time when Sam asked posed her question. It turned out that Luna's actions and words that night didn't spike her suspitions but it was his own words that did. "Before I answer I just need to ask you something...." he paused for a moment before continuing. "How do you feel about things of a... super natural nature? Do you think things like vampires, daemons, angels and the like could exist or are you the sort that dose not think things like that can exist?" he asked. Her answer would determin his answer. He was sure he could get himself out of the situation he was in if he had to, maybe.

shrugging she said "well... there is a possiblity of a greater being in my mind." she said calmly. "Human kind is creative but to have people all over the owrld describe th same kind of creature nearly the same way every time is more than a cowincidence. ...Hmmm.... i guess thats a yes they egist and your reaction only furthers my belief." she said with a small confident nod and and unphased look on her face.

Kashan was probably more shocked by her answer than he should have been. he was expecting a quick yes or no but the answer given was satisfactory to him. "Well, I'll tell you that they do exist and they are around, hidden but around. I just didn't want you to be scared is all." Kashan said, feeling more relaxed now since he didn't have to keep his gaurd up as much. "Now, I would answer your question but I think you are smart enough to draw your own conclusion fromt he way this conversation is going." he said.

Samantha smiled lightly and said "The choking reaction was a dead giveaway" she said before saying "And thank you, times two" she said calmly "For not thinking im stupid and for trusting me... the truth is always better than a lie no atter how frightening it may be" she said calmly wit another small smile

Kashan continued to eat while he thought for a moment, "Sometimes a lie is better than the truth. It can help ease a situation but this is not one of those." Kashan said as he took another bite slowly chewed it. After he swallowed he continued to speak, "I figured my choking would have been the give away. I have to admit that I am not used to interacting with humans in general so my reactions are usualy a signt hat I am not what I apear to be. I am just glad you are so... calm about this." he added.

Samantha shrugged and said "A lie has the tendency of harming others, it may be better but it usually causes one to loose trust" she said calmly before she said "Yeah. the choking combined with the thing i over heard and your way of speaking was a huge give away... you provided most of the puzzle pices.. all that was left was to fill in the faces" she said calmly and added "I tend to be unusuall calm" she said

"So, you are a smart one. What you say makes sense but most people beleive lies, even us daemons need to beleive in lies in order for out society to function but that is a whole other thing." Kashan said before finishing the food. "It is good to find a human like you. the last time I was here your people were running from us... mind you we did come here to make this realm our own but times have changed." he added as he pushed the plate aside for now. "The food was great, thank you."
