Mmmm....yeah. Thats Ertai-ism, actually.
I try not to write more than a paragraph if I can, but then I forget to add things. Though if I do say so myself my latest post in Arian Thomas vs Argus McFarland isn't half bad. Ten points to the first person who knows what I'm implying with the last sentence, beyond the fact that the old man isn't a deader.

Detail is good, but I'd rather fill my posts with flavor than with bare-bones technical info. Because of this, I've actually been working at making my posts longer rather than shorter, so that they are enjoyable to read even as Trei goes to disembowel a foe or some such...
Edit: @Tac: A raise, as in you're going to match whatever it is he's betting and then add to it... so whatever he's doing (hasn't read the whole thing), you're getting ready to do it better?

Sparn Gerudo I understand the need for details, but... People are going way overboard on it... I think the purpose is to make your post so long that people forget how it began by the time they finish reading. Depends upon the person and content. There's Ertai-type. There's the normal type that tries to explain best they can while not making it confusing. Then there's the fire coatant outta nowhere that protects against anything that has the word 'ice' in it without explanation as to why - type.

[Azurino]: Nnnno no no~ I understand what you mean perfectly, I was just being a tad sarcastic. I understand it has no actual canon impact on either of our characters [or . . any impact, actually,] and is merely a kind of idle testing ground rather than an actual bout, perse'. I was just curious as to where we would demonstrate the 'dream', if you will. =P
[Sparn Gerudo]: Eh, so so. :Flex: Yourself?
[Trei]: . . . [Squints his eyes.] . . No? [Cough, sniff, double-take.]
On the subject of detail: I like to specify things in my posts. That way, there's [less] of a chance someone can try to misinterpret my post for their own gain and turn the thread into one of the ten billion argument topics we've seen here at GTB; plus, I do enjoy writing, and while I get lazy occasionally, I like to give a [decent] length post, though sometimes, I may only write a paragraph or two at most because there's not much to say. =P I don't think people should get bashed for a little length to their posts. I mean, it's not like we have 3,000 Ertai(s) running around. Hell, half the time, I don't even judge how long [or short] my post is until I've already typed it up.
Fact, I sometimes feel I lack detail when it comes to exactly what points in my body a wound or bruise, or whatever the Hell have you is affecting me. Exact positioning on crap like that can seriously change the outcome of some matches, drastically. So eh.
If my posts get long [which some have gotten pretty damned long, to confess] and people don't like reading it all the way through - unless it's my opponent complaining at any given match, I don't give a damn, to tell ya the truth. =P But, we all have our tastes, I 'spose.
[[[[Moo:] Posting today. Omi being face down in the sand is kinda unpleasant 'fer him, gotta say. domokun

Azurino Sapphiria You said ice versus fire. Nothing about electrical. The fire coated armor person being a certain individual that got DQed outta the tourney? Water is only greater than fire if the right circumstances occur. The opponent came up with the bullshit remark of saying he's an elementalist, especially when it was getting troublesome for him. Though very unsightly, I can't argue with him that he was hiding his power until he was desperate to get out of something.
No. The fire coated armor was many of the responses I've seen against the opponents I've faced, not just in here. So all in all, they melted my attack and said its logical. Bastards.
Unfortunately, Water is not greater than fire in many circumstances, which is why people who use such elements are usually in a disadvantage, provided that they're not anywhere near a large concentration of water - ergo, rain or such.Typhoon_Omi [ Snow]: YOU CAN'T KILL TOAD! And sounds like an entertaining idea. How durable would the substance be, by chance, once it condenses to that point? =P Or would this focus more on a quick, sharp attack rather than durability? But, I'm sure you saw why I enjoy battling anyone utilizing raw, liquid water in my explanation of my "technique" in the bout we had itself. I can brag as being, likely, the single highest anti-water character [by circumstance] in the tournament. Only person I'd rather face, would be someone that utilizes say, large amounts of blood in some shape or manner. Would not be a pleasant day for someone like that. Hell, if for whatever zany reason, there was a corpse out on the field.. On the flip side of the coin, I've noticed a number of characters in this tournament that, just by design, would be very difficult to exploit in the manner I'm gesturing at. 'Course, I won't name who.. that'd spoil the fun. domokun I was thinking on the lines between the solidification of water and ice. It has a solid feel, and yet it has not fully solidified so that the flexibility is increased because it is still changing from one state to the next. For fast attacks, that type of method would work out the best - slash, shatter after impact, and then recreating itself from the liquid form so that it can keep the opponent offguard, at least enough for them to hesitate on getting closer, providing the impression is strong enough.
....
Then again, it can be like my barrage of multi-weaponry, like the celestial weapons you've experienced, Omi. domokun *Doesn't kill toad, but strangles it instead*
@Trei - > What is a Folk Classical style? For all I could fathom out of your post, you charged right at me, hitting your shoulder into my stomach and then...chop? What's the chop?

Well, since at least the FFA branch has all its matches completed, I'll initate the final two matches of the FFA branch. However, they will each have their own unique fighting field for a different change in things. Not as dramatic as I'm going to have it when all top two fighters from each branch enter into the Championship rounds, but something to show a preview of what the fighters are to expect.

My name is Tacitus and I have become unstuck in time.
Remember, O Lord, the God of Spirits and of all Flesh, those whom we have remembered and those whom we will remember to our own dying days, men of the true faith, from righteous Abel unto to-day; do thou thyself give them rest there in the land of the living, in thy kingdom, in the delight of Paradise, in the bosom of our holy fathers, from whence pain and sorrow and sighing have fled away, where the light of thy countenance visiteth them and always shineth upon them.

Ha ha. I venture out for a few days and a guy I've only really seen recently is the new owner, and things are actually happening.
Sparn: Recognise your sig, dropped out first round here too cuz of RL constraints.
Otherwise, let's see if a winner finally appears in the GTB. And if it's restarted afterwards then I'm interested in seeing how it'll be done.
Edit: Snow: Your character is some ice/water elemental hybrid, right? If in future you come up against someone who tries to melt your ice then just switch to using water and dump a large quantity on them, if it doesn't put'em out then being boiled alive is fast to follow. lol Fire elemental =/= Immune to high temeratures.
