Okay, Kei? Listen to me here. You are NOT taking what we are telling you. You aren't "letting go" like you say you are. What you do it that you abandon and try all over again.
August is still a GOOD character. He has some flaws, yes, but it's not the end of the world. The Point was NOT taken at all. We told you to work on your character, not to toss it away. You do no improve my making character all over again, you improve my working on the already existant one.
And dont go "long ago" when it was 3 or 4 days ago.
Once more. We want to HELP YOU. So let us help you and stop running away. We didn't say your character wasn't good. We didn't say that YOU weren't good. We point flaws you character had and asked you to work on them. It's not possible to make a flawless character! Why wont you listen to us, already.

Of course it's a pain, Loli. Getting your work criticized in one way or the other is painful for me. Well... that may not seem to you or say things that go along "It's a criticism, I move on." but not me. Much as I try my best to understand the suggestions and help (and thank you for that guys), I always feel attacked by this. That is the main problem when you invest too much emotional things to a character; the moment something is said to it, the creator is hurt. But I guess that's life, right? Ahahahaha! After all, what we all aim here is a good environment where everyone and everything will get along. You're helping me, after all.
And you did not pay attention to what I said ages (3 to 4 days ago, according to Zem), I hinted a fact that I put many things about me into Auguste. Auguste is not me. A fact. And yes, thank you for that Loli. So... yeah... putting those traits away from Auguste destroys his whole point and motif. Ahahaha!
The moment I conceptualized the main meaning of Auguste, he's already done for! He's beyond irreparable because his flaws on the first place is him. I can't substitute something to fill the gap of the ones I invested in him.
I do hope that this made my point.
"Haha" to me is very deserving, Risque. rofl

@Kei: Alright. Fine. Listen to this, alright? See why it's a bad move to invest yourself too much in your characters? This happen. This is what we were warning you about. This was the main flaw of Auguste, but you could have moved a bit around it, but you chose not to.
But that's okay.
You want to make another character instead of him? Fine. That should just not stop you from using him till then. Since, you know, the skip only happens in 3 weeks
HOWEVER. I will like to point something to you. We've kept telling you again and again and again about the RP Academy and you have NEVER made a comment on it.
Now, this might be a bit harsh on me, but, I am asking you to go there. No, rather, I demand that you go there and you work on your character, be it august or your new one or just your RP in general.
If you do not do this, I am afraid that we cannot keep you in this guild any longer. Anyone who really wants to be here should be willing to take criticism and work on it. So you can go there and do just that, which, I hope you do since I don't want you leaving the guild. Think of it as a homework. I really hope you'll go instead of ignoring it once more.

Oh, I heard you, Kei. I just never thought that that was an excuse. All of us put parts of ourselves in our character, I had said. You write what you know, I had said. But that doesn't justify being PERSONALLY OFFENDED when we criticize (in a helpful way) a character.
And no character is ever "done". If you say that your character was "done" the moment that you posted his profile, he will never progress beyond being a two dimensional character. You develop characters as you go. Like how our experiences in life shape who we are as people, our characters develop as we use them. Of course, if you were perfectly developed as a human being when you were born, that's one thing. But I seriously doubt you were, so you can't say that Auguste is "done". You've barely gotten to know him as a character.
Roleplaying is a group activity. Sometimes you get praised, sometimes you get criticized. That's what happens when you interact with other human beings. If you can't take the negative, you either have to learn how, or leave. You don't get to stubbornly stand there and get defensive. That's not how the world works.
However, I fully support a character who is based on flaws. But the flaws we're talking about are not "humanly flaws". It's not that he's selfish, or gullible, or naive, or bigoted, or anything like that. He's underdeveloped. That's not a flaw a character can be based on. It's a problem regarding the relationship between player and character. You're too invested. You take things too personally. And you're a good roleplayer! So if you want to play with people at your level, you have to distance yourself from your characters and learn to develop them within a roleplay. No one will have patience for you otherwise.
And before you can say that I don't "get your point". I see your argument. I understand it. I don't see it as valid. In fact, I think it's kind of closer to bullshit than anything else.
But Lone is right. Your character needs work. If you'd like, I'd be happy to spend lots of time with you to help make Auguste as great as he can possibly be. But if you are too stubborn to admit that he's fundamentally flawed and will make no motions to change anything, you know how to leave. You can try again somewhere else.

Whoo, Kei, my turn! :3
You must be one misplaced high horse son of a gun, Kei. For someone to.. dare I say it.. NOT like something you created, oh god what would happen? Oh, that's right, the creator throws a depressed hissy fit because he put all his hard work into something that just didn't make the quota, so now he's being asked to do MORE work? Oh how cruel of the others, right? Kei has to do more work! So, what does Mr.Creator do, he decides, "SCREW IT, I won't do more work, I'll just throw it all in the garbage and pretend it never existed. Oh, and to make sure that I seem as little of a bad guy as possible, I'll make sure to thank everyone for their not so appreciated critique! And while I'm at it, I'll sound so very sad and hurt, so maybe I'll reel in some sympathy and people will stop asking me to DO stuff!" We aren't your mummy and dada, Kei, we aren't here to stroke your ego and tell you "what a good job, our little prince of the stars, everything you do is PERFECT." So stop acting like a 5 year old who just watched his crappy macaroni picture get stepped on and grow up.
You can keep acting like you're the weak a$$, wuss, you are doing right now and haul a$$ out of this guild. Or, you can suck it up, and let us help you and stop acting like such a spoiled t**t. We're MORE then happy to help you, and we'll be kind about it. But, if you keep biting the hand that feeds you, that fricken hand is gonna punch your a$$ out of here.
As stated, "I do hope that this made my point." END QUOTE
So make your damn decision, Kei.

<.< These folks said more than I could and better, so I'll just comment.
Kei, please. D: I know what you're about to do and I'm warning you against it for your own good. These people? They aren't attacking you. I know you're about to think, "Oh, woe is me, this is how it's always is. >: Everyone never gets me no matter where I go - WHY." <- No. D: That's not what's going on. So, I want you to think for longer than 6 minutes on what was said, read over the RP Academy that we're recommending, and ponder just what was the cause of this effect. It'll benefit us all in the long run, especially you.

Good. Don't just read it. You should also do the exercises in it with Loli and Risque. They'll help you better your characters and everything
Happy that you finally understand and, especially, acknowledge it existence.
Let us move to more happy subject.
Serend. Keith is awake and believe he's been kidnaped, got his leg broken, drugged and is about to get his kidney remove. I believe you should post as conor o-o

Yeah, this is late, but I want to get my two cents in. o':< Kei, um, I'll trying to be nice here. Although mostly everything said by Lone, Risque, Loli, and Serend was true, I would be rather hurt if it was said to me, too. No offense to them, I applaud them for telling it straight, without the fluff.
But you can't solve problems by throwing them away. >o> I'm guilty of this myself. I started roleplaying when I was nine, and as expected got some really, REALLY bad habits from it that I'm still trying to deal with today, maybe some that I have in common with you.
Just accept that everyone is trying to help you, and let them help you. Don't just tell us not to worry about it, Auguste is going away. Even though that's fine, it's not going to solve any problems. You might want to use him as sort of a 'practice' or 'experimental' character that you can use to... well, practice and experiment with different roleplaying style, or different kinds of character personalities, perhaps? Maybe he got in an accident and hit his head and is like that guy in 'Fifty First Dates' that can't forgets everything every 10 seconds, except instead of 10 seconds, make it ten days. xD Change Auguste every ten days, until he becomes an amazing character.
Of course, this is just a suggestion. There's no need to feel like people are attacking you, although it may seem like it. They're trying to help you, as I am.
EDIT: Whoops, didn't really follow Lone's 'let's move on to a happier subject', did I? o .o Sorry. I'm just a slow thinker. xD
