"Give me a list, and I'll see what I can do." Vincent answered tiredly, then went to the couple, gently running one finger down one of Lily's ears. "It should have been me, not the chit. I'll do whatever I can to help." he told Arlen, then took the other half of Lily's sandwich to eat.

"Leave the soup alone," Arlen said, fishing the list from his pocket. "I'm coming to get them," he said, showing the list to Vincent.

"I don't like soup." Vincent informed him, then took in the list. "She's missing a few that might help. I'll get those for you as well." He finished the sandwich, then sighed. "You're coming? Why? I can get them."

"No need to get testy." Vincent murmured, then sighed and ran his hand through his hair, left arm held close to his body. "Are we going now? Or would you rather snipe at me some more first?"

"Alright. Let's go." Vincent murmured, jerking his head to the stairs. Without looking to see if Arlen was following, he headed up to his office, and the portal that led to his shop.

Arlen gave Lily a quick hug and kiss before following Vincent upstairs.

When they reached the room, the portal was already active, and Vincent stepped though, beckoning for Arlen to follow.

Arlen didn't hesitate to follow Vincent through the portal, though he was a bit wary.

Arlen carried the books down the hall to his and Lily's room and set them down inside the door. Stretching his back out again, he headed back downstairs to check on Lily.

Lily was indeed awake again, listlessly toying with the spoon. "Hey." she greeted Arlen on his return, smiling and looking a bit more alert.
As for Vincent, he went right to bed. He was tired, and needed his rest.

Arlen gave Lily a hug and sat down next to her. "The books are in our room," he told her softly. "Did you eat anymore?"

"No... I couldn't." Lily answered, leaning so her head was on her shoulder. "Sorry. I did try, but..." she shrugged helplessly, then bit her lower lip.
