"Looks like it's kind of vicious." Brian noted about the Ratata's attack. Train laughed. "Nah, he's just really into the battle." She said.

"Oh, alright. Spearow, Peck!" Spearow flew over and pecked Ratata right on the head.

"Ta!" The Ratata cried, shaking to get the Spearow away. "Ratata, Bite!" Train said. Ratata chomped on the Spearow again, and the Spearow fainted. Both trainers withdrew their pokemon and walked over to each other.

"Great battle!" Train said happily, still holding Pikachu.

"Yeah, you too. Guess I've still got some training to do, though." Brian said. "Well, see ya."

"Yeah, see ya." Train said, and wandered away from Brian.

((Yep that was fine, I gave you the go-ahead to RP the throw anyway so it was all good.))

A bit peeved at being slammed head first into the ground Larvitar was back up in a few moments and staring down her foe. The attack had done more damage than she'd have liked despite her tough defense. If that Pikachu ever got some real fighting type moves it would certainly be a powerfull opponent.

"Shake it off girl." Brock said nodding to his new young pokemon as it glanced back for reassurance. "Okay now, hit that Pikachu with a Bite!" Brock commanded after thinking for a moment. Young pokemon were seriously limited in their move choices. Larvitar rushed forward and attempted to chomp down some good old fashioned revenge on her quick enemy.

As soon as Clefairy made her way out of the vortex, she was met by the barrage of flying rocks. Each of the chunks of earth slammed into her as she attempted to dodge or deflect them. With her speed so badly effected, there was no way she could avoid the attack and took a great deal of damage. Nevertheless, she stood back up after the volley ended, breathing heavily. Despite how harsh the attack was, she managed to get much closer to the Larvitar. She probably wouldn't be able to take another attack like that again, but she knew she could still fight on.

"Hidden Power!" Jeremy called out. Closing her eyes in concentration, the Clefairy formed a ball of Ghost-type energy and shot it towards the Larvitar. In terms of strength, it wasn't as powerful as her Pound attack, but it would do much more damage to a Rock-type than any of her other choices.

((Hidden Power: Ghost-type, Power: 35))

Train walked down the path to Cerulean. She hoped on her way back to Pewter, she'd gain enough exp. for her pokemon to level them up enough to beat Brock.

Pikachu tugged at her pant leg. Train stopped and Pikachu climbed up onto her shoulder. "Oh, so since you're tired, you're gonna make me carry you?" She asked jokingly. Pikachu nodded, making her laugh.

The distance between the two allowed Kaji to scope out his opponent as it attacked, hearing the command bite, Kaji planned out the counter attack. "Rei, side step it and whack it in the face with your tail!"

"Pika!" she nodded and side-stepped the Larvitar's attack and made the attempt to smack it in the face, it would most likely work but, because her tail would be heading towards Larvitars face, there was good chance that her tail would end up in the bite, in any case.
PostPosted: Sat May 05, 2007 2:36 pm

It was a good idea to try using a Tail Whip on Larvitar but it wouldn't ultimately help very much since Larvitar did indeed bite down upon it, hard. Of course her attack was lowered slightly but since Bite is a special move it didn't matter in this case. After a few moments Larvitar let go of the Pikachu and hopped back a few paces to get another command.

Rei wrapped its tail around and sucked on the painful bite mark, its cheeks sparked with vengeance.

Kaji grunted "Your doing great Rei but I think we should step things up okay?" he looked at his Pokemon with a spark in his eye. "Understand?" he asked Rei

Rei sucked it up and looked around for any possible advantage. She then smirked when she saw dust and let off some electricity which would run through the various minerals. She was attempting to magnetize it.

The magnetizing was working. "Alright Rei! Good thinking, now bombard it with the dust!"

"Pika! Pikachu!!!" it screamed as it send the various dust and pebbles at its foe allowing her to cut up Larvitar from a distance which would inflict a good amount of damage.

Grinning at the cheering crowd Dante had forgotten long ago about the camera's that were in taping them. Apollo, who had never before recieved this much attention happily trotted around preening under the attention he was recieving. Unfortunatly for Dante Derik didn't seem to like all the attention that they were getting. "Golbat use your Air Cutter!" The Golbat gave a screech before flapping it's wing's in a desicive mannor sending a sharp looking gust of wind there way.

Apollo, who was usually on top of thing's even if his trainer wasn't was caught by surprise as the attack hit his side. Lucky for them it wasn't a critical hit. Attention now on his opponant the firey horse watched his opponant waiting for his trainer's comand. "All right Apollo let's show that Golbat your Flamethrower!" Dante ordered pointing his finger out in the direction of the bat like pokemon. Apollo liking the sound of that complied happily bracing himself his leg's down he opened his mouth and let loose a powerful jet of flame's toward's his opponent. The bright black and white flame's enveloped the Golbat entirely.

Smirking Dante watched the flaming ball in the air with satisfaction. That was until it grew bigger all of a sudden and four sharp wing's suddenly burst out causing the flame's to be pushed away. Where there was once a Golbat there was now a much larger and more powerful Crobat.

"Oh wow! This is certainly surprising! Derik's Golbat is out now due to it's evolution into Crobat! As the rule's state, an evolution in the arena does count as changing pokemon. So let's see if Derik can take down two more of Dante's pokemon with just this one left!" Missie announced from her little stage. Hearing this rule was both a good and a bad thing for Dante. While it was a good thing that he only needed to take out this Crobat. It was a bad thing because both Levi, who was still in the Pokemon Center, and Bahamut were very close to evolving. He would just have to be careful from now on.

"Larviar, charge into that blast and go forth. Thrash!" A blazing flare consumed Larvitar's eyes as he suddenly entered a state of pure raw power. He charged forward directly into the ghost blast and was knocked back a few inches, clenching his teeth, but within seconds he broke forward with his full power charge, thrashing about as he attempted to smash the Clefairy out of existence with his power.

Train, still carrying Pikachu, walked along the path. She caught sight of the end of a battle at one point, but that was the most exciment she saw. Today wasn't a particuraly active day, apparently.

She noticed Cerulean a little ways into the distance. It would still take a little before they got there. At least she wasn't getting tired. It meant she was strong enough herself to be a traveler. Though she did want to reach Cerulean soon, as to heal her pokemon. Train went into a run, keeping Pikachu held firmly so he wouldn't fall.

Steffi walked out of the pokemon center, and sighed as the fresh morning air filled her lungs. Pikachu was situated on her head, curled up in a bundle. They walked oln through the path to where they hadn't been before.

"It's time to train you Sparky.." Steffi explained. She picked him up from her head and shook him until he woke. "Come on, we should get stronger in order to beat someone, don't you agree?" she asked.

Train slowed to a walk as she neared Cerulean's entrance. She walked inside and went straight for the Pokemon Center.

"Welcome!" Nurse Joy said kindly. "Would you like me to heal your pokemon?" She asked. Train nodded and gave her Pikachu and Ratata's pokeball.

A short time later Nurse Joy came back out and gave Train her pokemon back."Here you go! Your pokemon are fighting fit!""Thanks!" Train said, smiling, and walked back out. She walked around the town a little bit, hoping to see someone worth talking too.

Sunlight streamed into the window of Kurine's bedroom. She opened her eyes, sat up, and yawned. Her eyes scanned the posters of pokemon on her wall. There was a poster of Ash, who she had heard was a great trainer...and she planned to be even greater.

Kurine climbed out of bed and got dressed in her blue skirt, multi-turquoise colored shirt and brushed her teeth. She half-ran down the stairs and saw her mom already sitting at the table, reading a book.

"Hey mom." Kurine said, getting herself a bowl of cereal.

"Hi, Kurine." Her mom replied, looking up from her book as Kurine sat down. "You have to stop by Professor Elm's lab after, all right?" She said.

"Huh? Oh, ok." Kurine answered. She thought that he probably just needed help with one of his experiments again. Kurine had helped him a bit over the years, and visited him a lot to play with the new pokemon waiting for trainers to come get them, so they could start their journey.

When she was done, Kurine put her dishes in the sink and put on her shoes. "Ok, I'm going now!" She called back to her mother, who called back, "Ok! Bye, have fun!" As she walked out the door and over to Professor Elm's lab, Kurine wondered what he needed help with this time.

"Shocker, you did it!" Kasiya cried happily, holding out her arms for her victorious Raichu. Shocker let out a happy squeal of her own (a sound that was very reminiscant of Pikachu) and bounded over to her trainer, leaping into her outstretched arms and letting loose a tickling burst of electricity. Kasiya giggled at the sensation, and hugged Shocker tightly. "You never cease to amaze me," she nodded, holding the mouse out at arms-length in order to scope out the scratches on her stomach. Shocker scoffed and wriggled untin she was free, and soon was perched on Kasiya's shoulder, her ears twitching happily.

"I'm impressed," Drew nodded, having recalled his fallen Vigoroth. "I didn't expect for you to be able to defeat me, yet here we are," he chuckled. "Perhaps you should visit the Petalburg Gym in Hoenn sometime," he added, handing the girl a card. "I'm sure our leader Norman would love to have such a...spirited challenger."

"Thanks," Kasiya grinned, looking down on it. It had, what she assumed, was an emblem of the gym's badge on it, as well as an address and a phone number. Perhaps after her rematch with her father, she'd travel back to Hoenn and see what a gym leader from that region would be like.

"Professor Elm?" Kurine called into the lab after opening the door a bit. "You in there?"

"Hm? Oh, sorry! Is that you, Kurine?" The Professor's voice called back.

"Yeah, it's me! Can I come in? My mom told me to stop by." Kurine answered.

"Yes, come back here, please." Elm said, and Kurine stepped all the way inside and closed to door behind her. She walked back to where the Professor was and blinked. Chikorita, Totodile, and Cyndaquil were standing in front of the Professor.

"Why are the pokemon out? Do you need to feed them or something?" Kurine asked, confused. She knelt down and patted Chikorita on the head, and Totodile did a little dance.

"No, no. They're out so you can pick one!" Elm said, smiling at Kurine. Kurine just blinked again.

"But, why?" Then she paused. "You think I'm ready to start my pokemon journey?" She finally asked, standing back up. Professor Elm nodded and said, "You've shown that you really are dedicated, and I'm sure whichever pokemon you choose to start with will ahve a wonderful trainer."

Kurine stared for a second, then smiled and said, "Ok! Then lets see..." She looked at the three pokemon before her.
