Ulquiorra watched the elf leave through the portal. "All these warp spells are getting annoying. It would be so much easier if we could stop those spells" She complained. She paused then her tone became more cheerful "They may have retreated because the others have advanced further than us"
"Don't worry, you will find out what it does soon enough" Alpha told Zadina. He then turned to Dargrim and Satoshi. He lowered his voice so that they couldn't be over heared "Don't go near it. Its a bomb which gains power in areas of high magic."
Seph smirked "You changed your mind quickly"

Dargrim leaned in towards Alpha. "If he detonates it won't it take out us as well?" he muttered.
Zadina paused at the bomb "It doesn't appear too dangerous...."
Gareth tapped Hayate's leg and the traces of darkness left there disappeared. "Silencing will not work...this ability appears to have come naturally to them...probably as a result of the serum Narasaela has contructed."
Itaka walked forward and peered through the door "The others have gone too....you reckon that was the final stage?" he asked "If it was then Narasaela has probably called them all for an inspection"
Oassu shrugged "I don't wanna be stabbed in the leg by that fang when we're fighting Narasaela, besides if your worried about your pay don't be, Kimino still owes us those untold riches after all"

"Not if you stand behind me and don't start casting a lot of spells. Don't worry about me explosives do little damage to me due to my element" Alpha explained. He cast a firaga spell towards Zadina's head.
Carbuncle looked around sniffing where the elves had been and started squealing. Ulquiorra nodded at him "He thinks we shouldn't get too relaxed, Narasaela probably knows we are still here"
Seph rolled her eyes "Like thats gonna happen sometime soon" she walked past Oassu.

Satoshi grinned "Sounds like one of those self destructive attacks." She rushed in towards Zadina and inserted her sword into his chest. She quickly pulled it out and retreated "He will have to use magic to heal that"
Hayate gave his leg a shake "He should at least have a basic idea as to where we are. But the lab should answer your qestion Itaka" He replied.
Felina sighed "You two like money far too much." She walked passed both of them. Up ahead were rows of cages, some of them were empty and others were filled with fiends. Felina went over and examined one "They are locked which means that we shouldn't get any bother from the fiends" she concluded.

Zadina grunted as the blade sunk in "You cannot hope to defeat me!" he muttered as the firaga spell exploded ineffectually "As long as there is darkness in the world it shall revive me!" he said as he cast Curaga on himself.
Itaka nodded "We probably will encounter more later on but for now...I think this battle is over" he muttered.
Gareth sighed "Just as well"
Oassu sighed "Ye know these little critters might have been normal animals once" he looked at a rabbit that rapidly tried to gnaw his fingers off except it was trapped by it's cage

"Save your speach about darkness for later" Alpha sent a large ray of energy towards Zadina. The green ball began to glow a little brighter and started to turn to a yellow colour.
"In that case, we should take a better look around. That way we can get a better idea of what we are dealing with" Ulquiorra started tp take a look around. Carbuncle made a sharp chirping sound. "Thats right, there should be more information in the next room" She stated slightly embarrassed.
"Mental note, don't stick your finger in the cage" Seph told Oassu. She walked past a small bird with 2 heads "Maybe they were used as part of the experiments"

"You never mentioned anything about a colour change" Satoshi said becoming curious.
"Whatever" Hayate opened the door he had shut before. Inside there was a large table in the centre of the room. Desks and filing cabinets filled the side of the room along with all sorts of strange machines. Papers were scattered everywhere "Good luck searching through that lot"
Felina was horrified by what she saw "Maybe they were used in the earlier stages but I hope not" She paused "Lets get out of this place quickly"

Zadina shrugged off the energy bolt "Your magic is weak!" he said launching a retaliating blizzaga that struck Alpha in the head.
Itaka frowned "Your right we will need luck now get to it!" he barked at Hayate.
Gareth was already shuffling through drawers "I'd estimate the elves took the research with them.."
Oassu nodded "Yea some of the hippies back home are gonna hear about this...so lets go" he said walking towards the end

"When it turns red it is ready to detonate" Alpha warned Satoshi, he then turned to Zadina "You call that a spell? That was pathetic." he taunted.
Ulquiorra checked one of the desks, she had no idea what to be looking for "It would help if I knew what all of these papers mean" She frowned.
"How I hate hippies, they make fiend killing so much harder" Seph muttered following Oassu

"FINE!" Zadina barked his aura glowing blue "WATERJA!" and a giant tidal wave erupted from his hands flying at Alpha.
Dargrim whispered to Satoshi "We should do something Alpha is a fire demon after all!"
Itaka roared and sliced through a filinf cabinet "It's all in elvish!! It's worthless to us!"
Oassu turned to Seph "Hey be nice I got some hippie friends who make great clothes!"
Narasaela sat on his throne in the main room. The Darkborne, as he called them, had just assembled in front of him. A smile was on his lips.
"Yes....these specimens are excellent! You scientists have done a wonderful job"
The scientists bowed respectfully.
A guard ran up to Narasaela "My lord!" he collapsed breathless on the ground "Cerberus is dead! The Demon girl is on her way!"
Narasaela sighed "Oh my poor pet....let them come, I can wait"

"Cant you use any magic at all?" Satoshi asked Dargrim. She stepped forward and cast a thundaga spell. It didn't stop the attack but greatly reduced its power.
Hayate sighed reading an odd diagram "It's going to be of less use if you slice it up. Anyway you could have just asked me to translate it for you." He put the diagram down and turned his attention to another sheet of paper. He scratched his head "So they decided to call them darkborne, how creative"
"The elves wouldn't be happy with it either. Do you think we could release them?" Felina added

A small dog launched itself at the bars as Oassu walked past "I don't think thats wise"

"I can tell" Alpha stated as the spell brushed over him. The water stung but didn't do any serious damage. He cast a firaja spell making the bomb turn a darker shade of yellow.
"You could have told us you could read it before. But what is that darkthing you just mentioned" Ulquiorra asked putting down a small file.
Seph nodded "They would be hostile towards us anyway since they have been in cages for so long"

Satoshi just stood and watched. She noticed that her chakra was steadily restoring.
Hayate shrugged "It doesnt take a genius to know elves can read elvish. Nothing particulaly usefull, just that finished developing them and named the prototypes darkbornes" He pointed to a symbol which looked a little bitlike an upside down number four "Look for a symbol that looks like this"
Felina made her way through the clutter of cages to find cells filled with larger fiends like the cerberus they fought earlier. "We aren't out of this place yet" Felina complained.

Zadina sighed "Defensive play will get you know where" he clapped his hands together and muttered "Aura" and a warming orange glow enveloped him. "I refuse to hold back on such weaklings!" He disappeared moving at incredible speed around Alpha's form he tapped Satoshi's elbow "Osmosega" he muttered draining all her chakra and mana before moving on to tap Dargrim "Breakga" and stone erupted from the point Zadina touched him encasing him in stone. Zadina disappeared and reappeared above Alpha before splitting into 3 clones. The first one rushed Alpha "Silencega!" it cried as the others positioned themselves above Alpha.
"Now!" They said in unison.
"BLIZZAJA!!!!"
"WATERAJA!!!!"
As a circle of powerful magic descended on Alpha.
Gareth held up a form "I found one" he passed it to Hayate
Itaka raised an eyebrow "So quickly?"
Gareth shrugged "This entire drawer have that symbol on it...I just didn't know what it mean't"
Oassu skidded to a halt "I think stealth is probably the best tactic here...." he thought for a second "Those cages....if one of them is unlocked then we'd have a fight on our hands...and that might damage another cage and then we'd have another massive monster to deal with...besides I think we should save our strength"
