Although the Lotad remained silent, staring at the pair passively and with little interest in it's gaze, one couldn't help but notice it had stopped slurping plants and begun to drool....or maybe it was just coughing up all that bogwater. Its expression never changed, but the Lotad would slowly slink closer, trying to make it appear as if it was merely drifting on the current...
....and then would disappear behind the waves. The Lotad had plunged itself beneath the water. The why of it would become clear as the lilypad path began to rock. Seemed the Lotad was hoping Poppy would drop the cookie....when this however failed, largely due to the path being more stable than one would think...and also because Lotad weren't exactly huge...the Pokemon would pop back up in front of the girl and state ">Ok<" And this time it was acceptance. Though only if she gave him the cookie first. A promise was a promise!

Silentveil
As fate would have it the ball would smack the load of frozen ham right between the tusks and on the nose. The ball would rock only once before giving off a silent tone. Despite the feisty nature of the porker, he didn't have the energy to put up much resistance to a catch like that!
Though it does try to get the cookie for free by bumping underneath the path, it resurfaces and seems ready to be given the cookie. Scooting back away from the edge of the lilypads to give it room to climb up onto it, she fishes into her bag for a pokeball with her free hand and sets the lava cookie on the path. If the Lotad wanta it, it would has to climb up onto the path to get it, just as extra insurance that it wouldn't just try to take it and dive back underwater. "You'll have to come up here to eat it, and once you're done with it I'll catch you." Once she sets the cookie down she has to quickly grab Shinx up, who was trying to scamper towards the cookie to gobble it up like a selfish little booger. Curses, Shinx thinks. Foiled again.

After a bit of effort and a swimming start, the Lotad would manage to prop it's stubby forelegs onto the path and pull itself up. Waddling over, the Water-type would snap up the cookie in it's beak, going so far as to try and lick up all the wet soggy crumbs off the surface of the lilypad after. Apparently it liked cookies.
Shiloh smile deeply. It was over and he had gain another partner. He was move to pluck it from the snow as he quickly thought of a name for this Pokemon. Considering he had only seen one move this was a easy one.
"Gelid."
That was to be his name as the feeling of quivering feathers reminded him of another one of his partners.
He would reach up to rustle Chai's feathers as he put away Gelid's pokeball and grab hers.
"Good job, Chai. Now go get warm."
Shiloh recalled her back on into her pokeball as he continued onwards. He still could not help wishing his fire type would hatch soon.
It would seem that Shiloh couldn't walk two feet without encountering another Pokemon. Luckily this one was too busy shivering in a corner to notice him. Back turned to the world, it's face against a rock wall, a snow covered Snorunt shivered against the wind.
"It's busy, return!" Though some chunks of rock were scattered as a trap, they'd be easy to avoid for the trainer, assuming he could get past the pokemon. Pushing Raiden further could be bad, and Pansear had a type disadvantage. His only option would be to flee now.

Setting down Shinx once the crime is done and he won't be getting any leftovers, Poppy waits only a few moments more before reaching forward to tap the Lotad with the pokeball's front. "Thank you, I look forward to having you on my team." Now that she had completed one half of her school mission and was in the process of completing her own, to capture a water type, all she had left to do was to continue on down the path and get that picture of an evolutionary stone.
Shiloh's legs throb in pain as he saw the shivering Pokemon. He did not know its plight but he understood the want to hide away. The cold and the injury to his legs made him think the same. Yet he had a mission to complete, so he would just had to tread through it.
Shiloh did not think he would miss the dance room and that strange mission, but compare to the cold it was a paradise.

The boy needed to learn to keep his thoughts to himself or something! Almost as soon as he made his mental wish, the area once again spat in his face by having the ground begin to rumble beneath his feet. Alexander quickly backed away from the site of the rumbling, which proved to be a good move as the ground split open and the blood of the earth oozed out through the crack. That didn't seem to be all, either, as a red hand with claws forced its way from the lava and grabbed onto an edge to push the rest of the creature out. A very intimidating entrance, complete with a dramatic way of carrying itself and what would have been a good one-liner if Alexander could understand the creature. There was just one tiny problem...
The creature in question was a magby. A little baby magby. Alexander's eyes narrowed as the baby pokemon tried to intimidate him."...You're going to regret that..."the boy warned as he grabbed one of the balls on his belt. He had two pokemon that he knew were suited to the task, at least theoretically. While he would have rather sent Odette to deal with the pokemon, though, Tsuna needed the experience more. They would just have to work fast before the ambient temperature baked the fish pokemon alive."Let's end this quickly,"he said as he let out his barboach, not looking the least bit concerned as the mud fish pokemon flopped on the hot ground.
Tsuna had been glad for an opportunity out of his ball after being cooped up for so long, but that opinion changed when he as he realized what kind of place he was in.">Hot! Too hot!<"the barboach yelped as he flailed about on the ground, trying to minimize how much of his body was in contact with the rocky terrain at any given time. Not that it helped much given the temperature of the air in the area.
Alexander seemed to ignore his pokemon's plight as he motioned towards the magby. None of his team members were exactly suited for this kind of environment, so if it weren't Tsuna suffering, it would have been Titania or Odette, and they had been through enough for the moment."End it quick with Mud-Slap!"the boy commanded, figuring that the sooner this magby was dealt with, the sooner he could recall the poor fish.
At least all the flopping about had one good thing come of it. The slimy film surrounding the barboach helped moisten what bit of dirt was on the rocks, which made it easier to actually perform the attack requested. There wasn't much of it, but the flopping mud fish managed to gather up enough muck that could more or less be called mud for her to fire it off at the magby.">Here! Catch!<"he called out as he used his tail to flick the ill-made ball of slimy dirt at the fire type. He really had to get used to generating his own materials.

Humans. So predictable in their desperate attempts to defy their fate. The child might be allowed to retreat... but he would first punish the human for their insolence. With a lazy spin, the Solrock sent a rock flying towards the back of Alex's head. If the blow landed, he'd take a sturdy injury that could impair his escape. Like Pokemon, like trainer.

Well, if there was one thing Alice's time on the Island was helping her with, it was the ability to think on her feet. Everything about that Tauros screamed "danger", and she was going to need a proper defense to weather the storm... and perhaps she'd get a bit out of it as well. As the creature approached, she'd release two of her Pokemon.
>Buhzah? Oh, that's that Tauros that got KO'd in one punch by a Togepi, huh. Hey, what are you doing with my tiara, I'm a princess, NUUU--!<
>... Alice, are you oka-- hey hey hey, I'm not really into jewelry!<
But despite her Pokemon's protests and the threatening Tauros, the small android grinned. Maddie might be upset, but she was currently stowed away in her Pokeball out of harm's way. Besides, Vorpal cut a dashing figure with the Seed of Experience looped over his hilt... and she felt far safer out here with him. "Vorpal, if you wouldn't mind...?" she remarked, taking a step back.
The Honedge finally noticed the Tauros, and narrowed his lone eye. >You DO like to hear yourself talk, don't you?< he remarked dryly. Deciding to take matters into his own metaphorical hands, he swung his glowing green blade forward at the monster. He was attempting a pre-emptive counter and using Fury Cutter!

((Please quote me when you post; with all the action on the island, there's a good chance I'll miss your posts.))
Almost instantly, a Pokemon would take notice of Zander and Tony's appearance. She'd lead down from an overhanging branch, landing with a twirl on a lilypad adjacent to the trainer. Her wings buzzed loudly, and she focused a stare on the pair. >Too many humans!< the Ledyba snapped, waving her arms furiously at the two. >Too! Many! Humans! I'm going rough you boys up! C'mon, c'mon!< She motioned furiously at the pair, practically demanding the Cottonne attack her. It wasn't a dodge so much as a challenge.
Before Zander and Tony were able to get acquainted with the area, a Ledyba appeared before them. Ledyba was an interesting pokemon, but Zander found the pokemon too similar to his own Cottonee. It had been a long time since he and his partner had engaged in battle. "Tony, how are you feeling? Ready?
Tony didn't like the tony of Ledyba's voice. Impatient and furious, that pokemon was. >Yes, you bet I'm ready!< He looked at the opposing pokemon. >You're going down!<
Zander took the reply from Cottonee as a ready signal. Zander began to concentrate on the Ledyba before him. Already, he and Tony had been through so much. Zander wasn't willing to lose this match. "Now Tony, up and use fairy wind!
Tony followed Zander's command and sent a fairy wind attack quickly towards the enemy. [1/10]

As he was running he felt a sharp pain in the back of his head, making him fall. "Angh...!" Rubbing it, he got back up. It didn't mean he wouldn't try to get away again, though.
