Nate listened to the twins "well i knew what yuki meant but i had no idea about Aki!"he admitted eating a chicken wing. He then looked at Sonja "the baby will be around...September right? considering it's your second month and you need four"he told her Sonja nodded "i guess..i'm not sure though! we will go ask Peter for that...he should know..peter is the angel that healed me when i was sick..he is a friend of eric!"she explained since nate wasn't in the wedding and wouldn't know him probably.

"Peter is my best friend and a doctor," Eric explains. "But babies come on their own time. Some like to come early and some come late." Stephan says "We have cake so save a little room for it."

Sonja nodded "yeah this one grows fast for a human though!"she claimed Nate grinned "don't worry..i can eat all this *and* my piece of cake"he winked and looked at the twins "you two need to reserve some space"

The twins nod "Okay we will save space for cake! The food is really good. This is our first time having this kind of food." Eric gets up and has seconds. "All of that shopping made me hungry. But I want cake too." he says with a grin to the twins and Nate. "We are going to be busy putting together all of the stuff we bought for the baby for a few days." says Eric.

Nat egrinned "you will surely have cake too. Not gonna let you get away from it"he joked really acting as if he was there for months instead of weeks Sonja was already eating her second plate not speaking as she was busy chewing then she froze widening her eyes and looked at her belly "the baby just kicked!"she said

Aki went to get some more shrimp, they were his favorite. "Just a little more." Yuki says "I want the sugar peas." Eric was just about to put down his plate on the table when she said the baby kicked! "Are you sure?" He drops his plate and goes to her touching her tummy. "Hello our little girl."

Sonja nodded "of course i'm sure! you don't miss that!"she said and giggled a bit Nate grinned at the news "oh i think she is from the babies that want to be out on time "he said letting his plate down too having finished his second as well

Eric was very excited as he put his hand on her belly. He could fee their baby in her and how active she was. "Our baby is a wiggler!" says Eric with a smile as he sits down. The twins say "Can we feel the baby?" But Eric says "The baby is just starting to kick maybe you can feel her better when she is a little bigger." They nod "Okay maybe later." Stephan and Lissa went into the kitchen to get the cake and put candles on it. They lite the candles and start singing..."Happy Birthday to you...Happy Birthday to you..." It was a huge cake with different layers of cake - white and chocolate since they weren't sure what flavor Nate liked best so they got both.

Sonja giggled "it seems we will have our hands full with her"she said grinning then turned to see the cake and participated in the song as well. Nate widened his eyes at the cake...that was what eric meant 'keep space for it'. Their little party had only 7 people and a baby..how were they supposed to eat all that? He was happy though...he liked it...his fist birthday cake! He closed his eyes and made his wish " stay with them for the rest of my life" then blew the candles

"Happy Birthday, to youuuu!" they all sing as Nate blew out the candles. They all clap. "YEAH!" The twins say "Time for presents too!" They go to get their present under the table. Eric helps them reveal all of the presents. He says "It isn't a proper birthday without presents! Nate you open the gifts while we serve the cake." Eric goes to get a knife and starts cutting the cake as the twins handed Nate wrapped packages. Stephan and Lissa said "Save the silver one for last guys, that one is from us." The twins give Nate their photo album they made and framed photo wrapped in brown paper that they decorated. Next was the art supplies, books, and then the booster. Finally they give him the silver box with the watch from his family. "Happy Birthday son!" says Stephan and Lissa as he is given the watch. Eric finished cutting the cake and putting it on plates.

Nate was opening all the presents thanking each ones trying to show how thankful he was although he felt shy for all these. When he took the small silver box he opened it and looked inside, then raised the watch reading what was written on it "wow...it is perfect! thanks a lot!"he said and wore it on his wrist..it matched perfectly. He smiled and got up hugging each one, even sonja's belly as if hugging her baby "thank you all..this was the first birthday of all"he said taking little alex from lissa again come on alex this si a very important day for you...you will get to try a birthday cake for the first time"he said kissing his cheek

Everyone was very happy. "You are welcome Nick," says Eric while he held Sonja's hand. The twins say, "We are glad you are having a nice birthday! " They start eating cake. Eric says, "You should have an art studio. We should convert one of the rooms that faces the garden so you have nice natural light." Stephan and Lissa sit with Nate eating cake. "We are so glad you are happy Nate." Alex liked the white part of the cake and the frosting.

Nate nodded at Eric "that's an excellent idea...although i won't be having it for that long...i will be leaving for college soon right?"he asked having a piece of each floor of the cake so alex will try everything. He gave him strawberry for now. Sonja smiled and nodded "that's right..we will start searching for art ones and we will give you the options..you will choose where to go"she told him

Eric smiles ss he eats his cake. It was really good and he enjoys watching his family. To think he had been missing out and now after a few weeks he had so much. The twins were stuffed..."oh we ate so much!"

Sonaj scratched her back some. She wanted to take her wings out but would wait until bed time. She was happy though and the baby was good...it hadn't kicked again though Nate was with he twins and Alex "then you two should go ot bed..it's late already"he said
