The Recorder thought back to some of his copying of books. He thought he recalled a tome regarding the nature of the gods. He had disregarded it as superstitious nonsense at the time, but now that he had seen them...

"Maybe. If it's the only opprotunity I'll ever get, though, I'd take it in a heartbeat. Otherwise, I might end up asking Angel if somehow she could help me out with that little problem." Mala said, the last part being mumbled to herself. She didn't wish to age and die. Mala wanted to stay as she was, to be with Van for as long as she could.

((Lots and lots of trick or treating in shops. XD 15 candies = 1 item. Sword was....my seventh item i believe.

Mala said, a sad smile on her lips as she continued to gaze at the ring on her finger. "Before, I was too afraid to make most risks. Being with you has taught me that no matter what - there will be risks and that the best thing to do when facing them is to try and make the best of things."

"I guess so." Van said before sighing. "For now, I guess you becoming a god, or rather, goddess, is our best bet if you're going to live forever. Whether or not you want to solve that problem or deal with the gods' power source first is up to you. Just be careful, alright? For the time being, I can't protect you like before."

Mala soon removed the ring from her finger and placed it in her hands, taking a deep breath before attempting to loosen the barrier as much as she could.

Van looked to the chains that held his wrists. They started to crack, but nothing more, even if he tried to pull against them once again. He sighed once he gave up for the time being. "No dice...It's weaker, but definitely not weak enough."
