"It will be done," The priest bowed his head and shoulders just enough, and turned back to give another set of blessings over the ashes.
Mit sighed and sat down, putting his head in his hands.
"Mama.... Love.... Love you...." The bird cooed, not remembering how to keep the thoughts just to Mit yet.

The priests scooped up the ashes into a large urn, then walked out of a side door. No one moved to follow them.
After the door slammed shut behind them Mit sighed, rubbing his temples, "Come on Tora... we should get you back to the room so you can rest..."

Tora rose to his paws and turned around, walking out of the room. He didn't seem to care if he was followed or not.

Mit followed, using Tora as an excuse to escape the eulogy. Eventually he caught up to Violet and place a hand on her shoulder as though steadying himself. His voice was gentle as they got closer to the rooms, "Are you doing alright?"

Tora just silently walked on. When he was in the room he carefully lay down on the floor in the corner of the room, looking away from them and pretending to be asleep.

Mit stroked the back of her head, "I know..." He pulled the fire-bird chick out of his pocket and sat on one of the stools, "Things aren't going to be easy for a while..."

The chick shook itself some feathers falling off, "No, Girl!"
