He blatantly ignored her first comment. It seems women of that nature are drawn to him. However her hand on his face was more then enough to push her arm aside. He would not fall for charm, nor did he have any desire towards her, other then that of her magic.

"Do not presume us close. As to why i'm here, is that not obvious to you? I was hired to be an instructor, so that is what I am. That and my research, which you are disrupting woman." he said, trying to keep his calm for as long as was needed. His patience at socializing was dwindling. He didn't wish to talk much longer.

I met a lady in the meads
Full beautiful, a faery's child;
Her hair was long, her foot was light,
And her eyes were wild.

-------------

"You cannot lie to me," she sang, her second arm coming up to his face even as the second was held at bay. "I can see your soul. So tell me why. Not just to ******** the pretty priestess, I know. Admit it, devil-magician."

-------------

I saw pale kings, and princes too,
Pale warriors, death-pale were they all;
Who cry'd--"La belle Dame sans merci
Hath thee in thrall!"

And this is why I sojourn here
Alone and palely loitering,
Though the sedge is wither'd from the lake,
And no birds sing.

As her second arm reached up to touch him, panda felt yet another change in her attitude, almost as if she felt superior to him. His anger flashed for a second before he regained his calm. "I see no reason to have to tell you anything. As I said before, your nothing special to me drow. Therefore I see no reason to have to entertain you or your whims." He growled.
"Devil magician hmm? You have no idea what I am capable of. A little arrogant to put titles on people. And not all of us are here to screw like wanton rabbits, I have more important things to do" He said, returning his dry smirk and leaning back against his desk once more, just out of reach of her boney grasp.

"You don't have to admit the truth to me," she smiled warmly, smoothly shifting backwards, "I just find it sad that you cannot admit it to yourself."

"But I warn you, Professor," the sorceress simpered, voice saturated with pity, "If you continue to refuse me, just as you have refused so many others, I shall walk through that door and never return, just as all those who have passed through your life before me."

She turned and took a step towards the door, but her head and her gaze remained fixed in his direction. Her eyes were catlike - wide, and flashing with mischief. "They never stay for long. Isn't that right, Panda? No friends. No parents. They all left you, didn't they? Just as I shall leave you. Just as she shall leave you. Just as the one before left you. Or perhaps dropped is the more appropriate word."

"When will you accept it, wizard? When will you accept that no matter where you go, no matter what you do, there is not a person in all of the planes who can love you. And the fault is on none but yourself."

The words that came from the drow had shaken him as he slumped against his desk. It appeared that she COULD see into his soul. It only served to infuriate him as he stood upright once again and scowled at her. This woman was nothing but trouble and she knew exactly how to pressure him. " I don't need pity from a drow, and I DON'T need company from some wench! What happens to me is of no concern to anyone else, and there is no way in hell I would accept anything from you. I don't need love, and I don't need company. I'm fine just how I am!" He yelled, knowing that she knew that she had hit a nerve. It didn't matter to him anymore, He just wanted to finish his work.

He picked up his book and proceeded to read it. not wanted to face the woman, but wanting to make sure she left. He could feel her gaze on him however. It started to feel as if she were peeling the flesh off his body. She was after all, no ordinary woman.

"Oh..." she sighed, halted just before the door. Her lamentful voice didn't match her expression, which was overjoyed at having managed to push the right buttons. "She would be so sad to hear you say that. Perhaps I should let her know how badly you oppose the company of 'some wench.' I'm sure she'd like to know your feelings on love, before yet another man tramples on her heart."

"She is no wench, you've demonstrated how low women go perfectly. You may tell her what you wish, but it means nothing being spat from between your lips. All I can say is, I pity you. At least I have feelings on love, I'd hate to have an extended life. Seeing your body in a hundred years would make me wish for a grave." He said almost sympathetically. Not even averting his gaze from his book for an instant. His knuckles were white from the pressure he held onto the book with, but he was determined not to let her best him.

"Tsk, tsk..." she tutted, stepping back towards him. Behind her, the potions she'd left behind glittered, doors still open from her fervent search. "Temper will do strange things to you. We both know that in a hundred years my body will be more beautiful than that of the best woman you can manage right at this moment."

She chuckled. "Then again, you can't manage any woman, can you? As we've already rightfully established."

"You may call my friend pitiful," she continued, smirking, "But there's one fundamental difference between the two of you. Wherever he goes, he is admired. People love him. Wherever you go, people laugh at you. Your students mock you behind your back. Isn't that sad...? You'll never know what it's like to inspire loyalty."

He was tired of this woman now, she was nothing but a hindrance for him. His head was swimming now and he was completely unable to focus. He never even heard the book as it fell from his hands. He never heard it hit the floor. Yet it seemed like an eternity before he had a reaction. She HAD to go. Go NOW.

That's the only thing that swam through his head as he raised his hands to face her. The power that surged from him came as suddenly as a wave in the ocean, and before he could comprehend what he was doing, he was screaming at the top of his lungs as a gust of air shot across the room at the woman.

Cressa's smile faltered as the wizard leapt to face her, infuriated. But his aura was fluctuating - the power on the surface being swept below oceans of red, which bucked and threatened to consume. He'd never manage an effective spell like that... and sure enough, the breeze which swept past her was a single, feeble blast, only enough to force her to take a step back to keep her balance.

Her smile had returned. She hadn't even bothered to think about deflecting it. Bringing her eyes back up to meet his, she giggled. "Very invigorating, Professor."

The air about her appeared to ripple for a moment. The hem of her robes undulated in a non-existent breeze. Then, from nowhere, a massive, horizontal column of water shot towards the wizard like a spear.

((for an epic battle we suck))

The column of water that shot toward him broke up mid way and seems to rain past him. soaking his notes and books and overflowing potion bottles. He was unharmed however, and the water only cleared his mind. Getting his focus back, he began concentrating on his magic. It had been awhile since he was in a real battle. Feeling like a gamble, he gathered his courage and charged at her with extreme speed, the air crackling around him.

Cressa growled as her bolt dissipated as it entered the man's radius. That was what she got for being too confident. Then again, could she really have afforded to expend more energy on her first sp-?

Panda rushed at her, electricity crackling. Cressa leapt backwards, immediately reaching for her sword - but then her face split into a grin, and she opened her arms to welcome the man in, catching him in an embrace as he sought to electrocute her. Little did he know that he, covered in the water that had rained on his front, would be the one getting the magic's brunt. Her hands and the front of her robes glowed with golden light as she squeezed him round the torso, the parts of her body in contact with his reflecting the conjured elecricity.

She giggled, a wide, cruel grin pressed close to his face.

Evelyn

Evelyn’s anger was literally causing her to see red. Perhaps that was why when she stepped onto the stairs to the basement she missed her step and fell to the bottom. Or perhaps it was her own knowledge that she would hurt someone if she was that angry, and did not want it to be anyone else. Maybe the stairs were slippery. Maybe gravity itself caved in upon her. Or perhaps it was just a blonde mistake. But no matter which way it happened, Evelyn could not say.

After her unfortunate descent, Evelyn found she could no longer move. She didn’t believe she had broken anything, but she was just so sore.

“Well, this is just lovely,” she found herself saying. “How do you always manage to screw up this bad, Evie? Every friggin’ where you go, dumbass.” Struggling, she sat up and moved out of the stairwell, then laid down again, whimpering.
