"But we haven't asked him, so how do we know if he wants to move in or just have a room? I mean, Chessy won't live here, but if we can manage it he should have a room. Don't care about Kio since he can get his own things."
Nathan paused. "Would any of you get jealous if Chessy shared my bed?" he wondered, completely innocent of ulterior motives: he didn't want to have sex with Chessy, but if there wasn't enough room he'd either give up his bed to one he thought of as his younger brother, or else share with him.

"Your bed. You do whatever you want. Having Yoru in the house too I'll have to sleep alone anyway so it's not like I'll be in there." Mao let out a light yawn and closed his eyes a little. "I have this weird feeling you're going to have to make plans for more than just those two and Yoru, Tatsuhiro, and me."

Nathan frowned. "But... how could I look after more than four other people? I refuse to look after Kio. As to the bed sharing... what do you want? What would work best? Tatsuhiro might always want to share a bed, because it makes him seem happier. Or it did earlier. I have no idea what you or Yoru will want. Chessy would probably curl up beside most of us, as long as we don't scare him - he's so cute. As long as he trusts you..."
He frowned again. "Just to make it clear, I meant sleep. Literal sleep: Chessy is my adorable little brother, nothing else."

Mao sighed and opened his eyes again. One step at a time. Remember that. Also remember your promise to zombie boy. The lamp has to have something bad about it that he wants to get rid of it so bad."

"But if he lives with us, then he won't get rid of it at all... so maybe he won't want to live with us..." he mused. "I had forgotten the lamp - maybe there's something inside it?"
Nathan sighed, shaking his head before carefully setting the urn into a safe position and curling up against Mao. "When will I learn to ask questions?" he muttered, closing his eyes as he yawned. "Wa...wake me at midnight." he requested, asleep moments after the words were spoken.

Mao nodded and then took the opportunity to rest as well.
A bit later Mao opened his eyes again and looked at the time. It was around nine thirty at night. They would need time to get to the place again. Mao woke Nathan and then grabbed his things to leave. "Remember it's a bit of a long flight over. If you can't then I can carry you."

Nathan brushed his fingers through his hair and stared doubtfully at the urn. "I don't think I can carry Yoru safely... please could you? I'd hate it if I dropped him." He made sure he was ready and then nodded, waiting for Mao's response about the soul jar.

Mao nodded and took the soul jar containing Yoru. He felt a little weird carrying the man he was in competition with but he would do anything for Nathan so he had no complaints. Once they were both ready they took off. Mao led Nathan through the same path they had taken before. It seemed much more easy this time and they got there just in time.
Inside the cave Mao rushed with Nathan to avoid breathing in too much of the heavy smell that was in the air. Like last time Tatsuhiro was with his undead minions working on a potion he was preparing.

Nathan had wanted to kiss Mao for being so good to him, but they had to leave so he simply gave Mao his most grateful smile and hurried after him. The trip did seem easier, his wings relishing the stretch this time as he enjoyed the wind currents. Of course, when they landed he was almost knackered again, but he hid a yawn and smiled.
He smelt the potion, the dead things and hoped that Tatsuhiro was being careful even as he ran to avoid the stench. He kept one eye on the urn, urgent that Yoru remain safe.

Once they were safely inside Mao handed the urn back to Nathan.
Tatsuhiro looked back as he heard them come in and smiled. "Hey guys. You get your friend? The body's sealed up and ready for him." Tatsuhiro took a whiff of the potion and decided it was ready. He stopped the flame he had cast under the cauldron and then looked back at the two skeletons behind him. "Get this in the bottles and seal them up. Then take them to the storage area. After you're done you can do as you please."
He wiped his hands clean of the goo from the mixing of the potion and then walked to the two. "Follow me," he instructed taking the urn from Nathan's hands. He led them through the halls to the room where he was keeping Yoru's body. He released the seals on the body and then released Yoru's soul. The glowing ball of energy floated around until it finally came to slowly hover over the body and slowly sank inside. In a few seconds the body was beginning to move as Yoru was settling inside and getting accustomed to the vessel.

Nathan followed Tatsuhiro after giving him a smile back. When the urn was taken and Yoru released, he watched with interest. He had a feeling he'd be used to this soon, and though he wanted to deny the very notion of any of them dying he couldn't rule it out.
He sighed and rubbed his forehead. Looks like I'll need to keep the 'tie them to me' clause of the contract until they really want out of it. Hmm, but then I couldn't save them if anything did happen: even if they left I'd want to save them... perhaps a clause where they have to be able to be saved by me? How would I word that so they could escape me?
He frowned as he thought, biting his lip and looking worried.

After a few moments the body stopped moving all together. Tatsuhiro examined Yoru carefully and then turned to Nathan. "He'll be fine. He'll need to rest for a few hours to be able to move."

Distracted by his thoughts, Nathan nodded and slowly sat on the floor, still thinking. After a minute, he blinked at them and smiled. "Should I stay in here with him, or not? I don't want Yoru to wake up alone..."

"It'll take a few hours actually. You can stay here but the air in here will get hard to breathe after a while. This place is like a vacuum. The air in here is scarce. It's meant to keep the bodies from rotting."

Nathan stood and went to Mao's side. "Alright." He turned to Tatsuhiro. "Do you have some time for us to talk? I don't know what else you have to do - s-so if you're busy, please say so and I'll go home, or cook... or something. I know Mao wants to talk to Yoru... though I don't know if Yoru should be spoken to right now...?"
