Terra froze in frightment. "R...R.....Raven????" Terra turned her head slowly and saw Raven standing there. She got up and stared closely at her. "G...G...Ghost!!!!" Terra started to run up the stairs Raven following close beehind her. "You stay away from me!!!!!! Ahhhhhhh!!!!!" Terra then ran into a dead end. As Raven came closer to Terra she screamed and then pulled a rock from the outside using her powers. She hit Raven with it and then jumped on it and left while throwing littler rocks at Raven's head.

Oh, but Silver had not been running slow. For that matter, she had hardly been running at all. Actually, to put it bluntly, she'd jerked to a sudden stop when she'd felt something. A strange, sudden jerk at her heart, a murmur of her name. Then silence. Deadly, horrible silence.

"Oh, no...."
Was all the elf could utter as she fought to stay conscious. She'd known all this time by intuition that Breyze had been alive; they shared a telekinetic bond at all times. But now, it felt as though part of her heart had just been violently torn from her, ripped out of her chest by brute force. She felt strangely empty within.

Glancing down at her wrist where the once brightly glowing symbol of "wind" was now only faintly shining blue against the pale flesh, she knew what had happened. She didn't know how she knew, she just....knew. And just that knowing had been what caused her to do what she was doing now; soar up into the sky, tears forming in her eyes before finally spilling, in glistening streams, over her cheeks.

She continued to fly upward until the lack of oxygen was nearly enough to make her pass out. And then, she just ceased her flight, spread her arms out on either side of her, and began her descent.

Breath was stolen away from her as she plummeted down, down, down, faster and faster with each passing moment. The dazzling blue of the lake, even in the dim light surrounding the city, was enough to catch her eye as she gently changed her course so that if she continued this pattern of quick descent, she would fall headfirst into the icy waters.

Silver squeezed her eyes shut, forcing herself to flare up with elegant, white fire.
"Breyze is dead, Breyze is dead, Breyze is dead...."
The chant tormented her mind, leaving her unable to focus. The flames only shot higher, and she allowed herself to actually feel the heat from it. She suppressed a shrill scream from escaping her lips at the searing pain from the flames, hot tears continuing to sting her eyes as the lake continued to draw nearer at a dizzying speed.

"Breyze wouldn't want you to be doing this for him."
A sudden, calm voice entered her mind.

"He's GONE!!!"
Silver screamed out into the nothingness.
"GONE!"

"He's not gone. And even if he was, he would have wanted you to keep going, to keep up Titans West, to keep living on for him."
The voice continued within her, showing little or no emotion.

A sob heaved through her body as she forced herself to levitate, the flames dissapating in less than an instant.
"Breyze is dead, Breyze is dead....Breyze...Breyze..."
The voice taunting her was fading now, and there was a sudden, undeniable sense of peace. The voice reassuring her had been right; she knew in her heart that Breyze, though dead, would never truly be gone, that he would want her to go on anyway.
"I'll bring you back, Breyze. I promise."
She swore the oath again, this time in Elvish, as she pressed two fingers to her lips, then closed her eyes and sent a small, flickering flame out from those fingers; a simple gesture, but one that meant everything nonetheless.

Looking up suddenly, Silver saw the Tower, steadily becoming a solid, bold object as her vision, once blurry with tears, began to clear. She knew that some Titans were probably waiting there, wondering what was going on. She wouldn't mind knowing that herself, but the panging loss and grief was still far too near for her to be able to focus on Superhero work.

And yet, she found herself levitating wearily to the tall, T-shaped fortress she'd begun to call home over the years. She did not wish to speak much, only for solitude, but still agreed within herself that it would be good to see some of her friends again....

Horror suddenly struck her; the entire reason she'd left Jump City in the first place -- to keep a secret she hadn't told anyone; not even Breyze. Silver cursed several times in Elvish until her words became nothing more than a repeated sputtering of anger as her expression darkened from sadness to fury at herself.

Finally landing on the roof of the Tower, Silver stormed into the door there and levitated down the hall, her aura glowing in a dangerously angry color.
She made her way to the living room, completely unawares of the other two Titans until she heard Raven call out in a monotonous sort of silk-like voice,

"Hey, Terra, how are you?"

She nearly jumped two feet into the air--though she couldn't, because she was already levitating that high. So, instead, she shrank back close to the walls of the living room, hoping neither of the other two would spot her.

Raven watched as Terra left not wanting to follow her any more. "What was her problem?" Raven turned around and went into her room to meditate. As she did she got a horrible headache and yelled in pain. "What's wrong with me!!!! Why can't I meditate??!" Raven then sat there thinking .

((Hi Silver it's Stephie!!!! I'm finally back!))
PostPosted: Mon Aug 01, 2005 11:25 pm

((Aloha, Steph.
ninja Oh, yes...changing font color. *Cackle*))

Silver shrank farther back into the shadows in her corner, carefully watching Raven. She guessed that it was probably the disturbance in her aura that was preventing the dark, angsty teenager from meditating, and that the darker girl would most likely sense her presence sooner or later.

Deciding that it would be best if she unveiled herself instead of it being vice versa, Silver stepped forward and gave a small, curt nod to Raven.
"Anything I can help you with? I mean, after all....we are sort of similar."

Raven looked at her..."It's nothing really......the only thing is, I sense a presance a presance I recognize and it's preventing me from meditating and it's giving me horrible headaches and they won't go away......this presance is close, very close. But I can find where it is......and it's telling me things in my head and when I try to block them out, they attack me through my head. And I can't make it stop. These visions in my head are about my father and they say he's back......but I remeber I destroyed him with the Titans. It's so confusing..." Raven lokks down at the floor in a sad yet confused way.

Silver frowned, wanting to help her fellow Titan.
"I may not know this evil of which you speak....but I don't wish for you to have to battle your own demons alone."
She meant the words as she spoke them, moving forward gracefully before sitting down, cross-legged, in front of Raven.
"I want to help you....will you let me?"

"But how? There's nothing you can do to stop this even if I did destroy my father once, he's back and he's in my head. And, who knows he can be stronger than before. If he's in my head I have to fight him. But, if you must help then go ahead. You know......you're a good friend." Raven starts to smile a little. smile

A small smile graced Silver's features in return.
"Hey, what're friends for, right? I know...well, sort of know...what you're going through, and I know that it's hard. Mind games are a cruel thing to play -- but it's your mind, his game. Your board, his pieces. Without you, his intimidation would be nothing. There would be nobody to affect, no power he could possibly have over anyone or anything,"
Silver touched her hand to her own forehead before doing the same gesture to Raven's.
"I don't know how you usually get people to enter your mind, but to me this is the safest way."
She explained, her voice fading fast as a glowing purple aura, representing her mind, detached from her body and shot into the chalkra on Raven's forehead.

Inside Raven's mind, Silver sat, cross-legged, awaiting Raven, manifested in whatever form necessary, to approach her. She sat in silence, merely waiting for her friend to meet her there. She knew that Raven was more than capable of doing so....it was one of those things, again, where she didn't know how she knew, yet she just knew.

After Silver entered her mind Raven spoke these words. "Azarath Metrion Zinthos!" A big black bird came out of Raven and went through her mirror on her dresser. She flew over to Silver and regained her normal form. "Well....this is it....and Trigon's not to far from us. He's probably making his way over here right now. Be careful....he has drones that work for him. They spy on you and tell him that you're here...then the real trouble starts.....so keep you're eye open for red eyed birds that have four eyes." Raven begins to walk waiting for Silver to follow her.
PostPosted: Tue Aug 02, 2005 12:45 am

Silver nodded, understanding, and dutifully stood up to begin walking after Raven. Frocing a smile, she managed to say something...somewhat lighthearted.
"So...don't you think it's interesting how you get all these people absolutely crazy for world domination? Slade, Control Freak, Trigon, Brother Blood, and all those other villains....you'd think it would get old sometime."
She murmured with a shrug, glancing from place to place in the dark, alternate dimension-like place that was Raven's mind. She knew very well what Trigon's spies were like...but that wasn't what she was looking for.

She was looking for something that she thought might be proof that their destinies were somehow fated to be similar, that they really and truly were alike. When she'd first come to this dimension from Azranoch, she had not expected anyone else similar to her people to be dwelling there -- but that was before she had found Raven. The dark, monotonous telepath dressed nearly the same as she, had similar powers, and understood the deepness of dark things, Silver mused.
Raven kept herself guarded against her emotions, for fear of losing control. And, Silver had to admit, control, in some cases, was upmostly sacred.

A great caw broke through the pitch-black stillness, and a huge, falcon-like bird shot down at the two teenagers from above, emerald eyes glinting.

Emerald.

Just the single shimmer of color alone brought back showers of memories to the young elfling as time seemed to stand still -- for a moment, anyway. She and Raven were the only ones able to move freely; though that was not how Silver had wanted it. A cry of surprise escaped her lips when she followed the path of the green-eyed bird and saw that it had been headed to join another flock of black-feathered fowl, these ones with scarlet eyes, piercing into whatever they settled upon.

Silver knew, then, that something was very, very wrong here. But that didn't stop the memories from pouring out of her, manifesting into images, as though they were real. She saw it all over again, images that had haunted her since that one day Fate reckoned her destiny not to be with her own people, but among those she considered alien.

She saw E'on approaching her again, alight in his own dark flare. She saw again the evil in his eyes, the bloodlust he so yearned for as the skies clouded over, thunder booming so loudly it shook the lands. She felt the helpless paralysis sweep over her again, and gave a cry of anguish as she saw the elfling girl in the image being struck down by some power, tormented by the one elf she had always felt she could trust. It was like a nightmare, but it was real. Oh, it was so real.

At last, the images faded. Silver shook violently for a few moments before regaining her composure at the remembrance that Raven was still there, and the true reason why she had come into her friend's mind. But still, the dread returned. She knew that Trigon was not all they were up against. In that fleeting moment, she knew that Raven's father had not been the only one tormenting the dark-minded teenager. E'on lurked there as well, preventing the girl from even thinking, from doing anything on her own.

Panic flooded through Silver, and she sprinted over to Raven, catching the other girl by the arm and pointing, breathless, to the green-eyed crow, nestled amongst the crimson-eyed ravens.
"Raven, I need to tell you something. I think I know the reason you've been suffering all this time...but do you want to hear it? I don't want to trouble you with things you're not ready...not prepared enough yet to fight alone."

"But she's not alone. You're with her."
The inner voice urged, attempting to spark a flare of courage inside the elf's heart.

"You may be with her, but it may also very well be the destruction of you both."
The warning voice urged along, quickly extinguishing whatever sparks the other voice had begun.
And yet, the other voice still tried, relentlessly, to fuse Silver's courage.
"She's your friend, Ithilwyn. You know better than this. Together, united, people can be stronger than they ever knew. Fates may be sealed, but that does not mean you have to run from it. You can both win against this, if you merely let destiny work itself out."
With that, the voice faded, and Silver was left staring vacantly at Raven's face, her expression blank as she waited for an answer.

...The sound came closer and closer, until the source of the sound revealed itself, it was nothing more than a gang of about 5 full-grown men. they seemed to not notice his presince as the stagered about, laughing over trivial things, such as drinking games and female mesurements. The hooded figure slowly aproched them, hoping to obtain infomation on the curent area...

The hooded figure stood in front of the men and said, " Em pleh uoy nac...?". The men stood there and laughed at the hooded figure, replying, " What the heck are you s'posed to be, a ghost?", said the apparent leader of the gang. The man turned around and gave his group an evil smile as he pulled out a gun from his jacket and pointed it at the hooded figure. The hooded figure stared at the gun, wondering what the man planned to do with such a strange looking device. The man continued to smile as he fired to gun. The gunshot Echoed through the forest and to a nearby security station, which sounded an alarm that called for the nearest upholders of the law...
