Ace Teh Impure My boss will be gone the week of the 20th, and will be leaving me as second in command under her assistant manager, which is weird because I just started three weeks ago. I guess I have management potential. Clearly you manager knows genius when she sees it!

Ace Teh Impure Mackencheese @ Ace: That's great! Awesome bosses are the best. Unfortunatley, my awesome boss is going to be gone for the next week. D:< My boss will be gone the week of the 20th, and will be leaving me as second in command under her assistant manager, which is weird because I just started three weeks ago. I guess I have management potential. Any resentment from your co-workers about this? ninja

Welp, I had a 12 hour shift last night, napped for 4 hours this morning, then had to come back to work for 8 hours today on what was originally going to sort of be a day off from me (minus the 7 hours in the morning I worked). dramallama
I decided to come in 30 minutes early since my boss was working alone and they usually like 2 people here at all times. I figured I'd let her take a bathroom/lunch break. When I came in, my boss asked if I started making my own hours. With this job, I might as well. lol

Yes, I am indeed alive.
We have limited our internet time and Gaia has gone by the wayside. With our daughter on virtual school the computer has been taken up by schoolwork and such. And with school in and activities started up, I'm never home. But yes we are all doing well.

I guess I have management potential. Clearly you manager knows genius when she sees it! Apparently, when her assistant manager leaves in October, I am slated to take his place! Finally someone recognizes how badass I am. @Rob: No, it's mostly because the other workers are in highschool, while the Assistant Manager and I are in college, and have compatible work schedules. One of my coworkers called me a " smartass d**k", though. It's not so much that they're wrong, it's just that it seems a little blown out of proportion. I just like to poke fun at the customers, and they love me for it. I dunno. Weren't we discussing this around the 1000 page milestone? Might as well see how far we can carry this thread.

I believe the topic of discussion is childish coworkers.

I guess I have management potential. That's pretty badass! Interesting this should happen! Three of my managers(the two good night managers and one day manager) are out of town this week. They put the only night manager left on the sched from 11-8. We close at 10. confused Three people got put over one girl who was a shoe-in for the next managerial position. Also, I don't think retiring this thread should happen until we someday get to the level of activity that brought on the retiring in the first time.
