"Sooner is better than later." Lily murmured, not elaborating on that thought. At his question, she nodded, giving him a soft smile. "Yeah. Walking would probably do me some good." Moving a bit slower than he, she stood as well, then reached for his arm. "I'll need a little bit of help."

"Um... it's... I put it..." Lily stopped, looking confused as she glanced around. "I can't remember..." she whispered, then drew in a ragged breath. Closing her eyes, she slowly counted to ten, then nodded. "Okay... um, check under the bed?"

"Alright," Arlen said, helping Lily sit down before he got down to check underneath the bed.

Sure enough, it was there, a sheet of paper covered in writing. Waiting for him to say either way, Lily chewed her lower lip anxiously.

Arlen grabbed the paper and stood up. "Is this it?" he asked, handing it to Lily.

"Oooh, yes. That's the one." Lily murmured, tired but relieved. "Can we go eat now? I want to get something in me while I'm hungry."

"Sure," Arlen said, folding the paper and putting it in his pocket before helping Lily up again. "Shall we, Love?"

"Yes please." Lily murmured, smiling up at him as she stood. Once she was up, she yawned before starting for the door, holding his arm rather tightly.

Arlen smiled back and escorted Lily downstairs and over to the bar, taking the stairs themselves carefully. "What would you like to eat?" he asked her as he helped her onto one of the stools.

Lily yawned again, then looked at Arlen. "Can I have soup? And a sandwich?" she asked hopefully, slouched over on the bar.

"Of course," Arlen said, stepping into kitchen to fix her a grilled cheese sandwich and some tomato soup. "Here you go," he said, setting it down on the counter infront of her.

Lily managed about half the sandwich and a little over that of the soup. Then, she was simply too tired to continue; she was still hungry, but she couldn't keep her eyes open any longer. With a drowsy smile to Arlen, she put her head on the counter, and fell asleep.
Meanwhile, Vincent was just waking, in a room that wasn't his own since Ukaia was sleeping with Bai. Sighing, he showered and dressed as best he could with one hand, but when he came downstairs, his button-up shirt was left undone, and he was in sweatpants.

Arlen smilled and set the plate and bowl aside so she wouldn't knock them over should she shift in her sleep. "Sleep well, Love." He whispered to her. "I need to get some books from your shop," he said without looking up at Vincent.
