As she entered the establishment with Zane, she made sure her human disguise as in place, ears and tails no longer seen with black hair and normal eyes. "So Finn, what first?"

:: Finn leened over the desk and turned her head to face Neko.::
"First... we get some game coins, how about a doller or two to start with?... yeah that sounds good two dollers worth of coins please!"
:: she told the man at the counter, he scribbled something down on a peice of paper. clearly Finn came here often enough to just leave some cash with the man at the desk so she wouldnt have to bother with her wollet.::
"here"
:: the man said, holding out the coins which Finn snatched up and walked over the the machine. She almost felt sorry for today concidering that it was probably its last::

Neko bought a couple dollars' worth of coins before going over and joining Finn. She put the coins into the machine and waited for Finn to do the same.

::Finn put a doller worth of coins in then hit the buttons that started the game, like a gracious host welcomeing Neko to what might as well have been her arcade::
"So! what song should we start with? I am quite parshal to 'Drop the Bomb' myself"
:: She said as she set her own half of the screen to 'Heavy mode' and left Neko to pick her own mode::

She picked heavy mode after some deliberation. "Let's see if my eyes can keep up this time. You can pick whatever song you want."

(( whats really sad is I know someone who actualy did make a DDR machine crash... multapul times....))
" 'Drop the bomb' it is then!"
:: she said, and she quickly spun to the song and hit the button to make it start. the song played for a moment before a voice from the game shouted out at them::
" are you ready?"
:: Finn nodded in responce just to be silly.::
"here we go!"
:: it continued, and so the arrows began to fly up the screen, and so it began::

Just before the song began, Neko inhaled and exhaled, like she was meditating. "It's just like running." She muttered, and it was as if her vision changed slightly. She saw things a bit slower than they should have been, as if she was too fast. Just like running...
Arrow after arrow, Neko hit the buttons. When she had played this game before, she had tried to do it as the humans did, with moderate success, but this was how she was meant to play. Arrow after arrow, combo after combo, she continued, as calm and as in control as when she was going her fastest. Just like running.

:: Finn didnt mind Neko and her meditateing before the round began. to her this game was a game of games! she was haulin' across the iron pad hitting the arrows with precise timeing, getting high combos with that stupid voice from the machine throwing her off and makeing her screw up her combo nearly every time she hit 100.
the song ended in about a minute and a half, so that mortals wouldnt pass out from exhaustion. Finn hit the button to make her rateing show up faster and when it did, she got.....::
"'A'!!! wohoo!"
:: she said, it was one of the best grades you could get. If you wanted to get anythign better you had to get all perfects to score a 'AA' which she had only sceen once by a mortal and she assumed it to be imposible to get the fabled"AAA" grade::

Neko landed lightly on the last arrow, her combo near two hundred. She blinked and was herself again, looking at her combo and score. "Wow. I don't usually do anywhere near this well at this game." Neko said, unable to keep the shock from her voice.

:: Finn turned and looked at Neko's combo score, and stuck her toung out at the machine. there where roughly 230 some odd arrows in that whole song and she hit almost all of them in a row!::
"man... why cant I ever hold a combo like that?"
:: she asked the screen, looking at her 103 highest combo that paled in comparason as she waited for Neko's letter grade to decide the winner::

AA the machine said, and Neko's jaw dropped. "...woah." Was all she managed to say. She'd never EVER done that well on a hard song, let alone on a standard one! Maybe playing like the humans wasn't the way to go after all...

:: Finn said, ignoreing the few people who had gathered to watch the experts at work::

((Last time I had Neko play, she got like a B on a standard song. ^^ See, it's cause Neko's different when she runs, her body movements change slightly to compensate for the speed that she did so well this time.))
"Hmm...what song to pick..." Neko scrolled through the songs, listening to them for a moment to see which ones she liked. "Ah! This one's good." Neko said, picking Tsubaru. She happened to like the beat of this song very much. She inhaled and exhaled again, waiting for the arrows to start.

GOD! my friend plays this song on hevy in real life and it sounds like she is galloping!))
:: Finn jumped when she picked this song, it had taken her weeks to get the timeing for this song exactly right. once more the game shouted at them, and this time a few spectators took out their camra phones to catch some photos fur amusement perpuses.::
"are you ready?"
:: the game asked once more::
"here we go!"
:: and Finn was off, half danceing as she went because she knew this song so well::

Her feet moved quickly and lightly, keep only ht eballs of her feet on the floor. She would touch one arrow and move to the next, feeling light as she watched the screen. The rest didn't matter, only what her eyes saw, and she ignored everything but the screen and moving her feet.
