Well they only have one every second year in Finland and it's not a huge con, but a surprisingly big one. Had to travel 2h to get there, but that's not really too far...
T'was fun whee And now I've gotten a whole new level of motivation for drawing manga, after meeting some of the best artists in Finland surprised

genric well whatever, none of my RPs ever get much of a fan base You know... you're awfully whiney. You don't want a roleplay to bomb... try working your bottom off. You know... like... having a story that's more than a paragraph long? Having something other than "read this well" that links to another site? How about making your roleplay easier to look at? I glanced at your roleplay and about fell asleep. It's all about PRESENTATION! *doesn't like whiney people*

Okay... *reminds himself to neevr be in an RP with Hatreds(j/k)*
Yes! *joins Talon in rallying*
*gluggles Hatreds mule* There's always another day!
Helpful Hint: Unplug your TV or use a surge protector in stormy conditions.
Yeah, you really haven't. Anyway: Hi Glanconer!
Wow, many people haven't been on. I didn't realize that before.
Besides what Talon said, we all want to see if you can live up to krome's expectations! *give her a playful gluggle*
*wishes the daily thingy would show up for him* I've tried everything, but asking the admins! gonk
Oh, that sounds nasty, Merlinic. *gives her a Get Well Card*
Welcome, Kayne Dragoon!
No problem, Glanconer. We're always happy to see/have new people join!
Hey, Goosey, Ananda, Krome, and Baine!
I've never heard of it, Sporky-chan, but it does sound interesting. Excitement about an idea also helps.
Welcome to the RPR, Saerina!
Cool, Dana!
Hey, Anglie! Welcome!
* rofl at what Goosey said*
Eh, that's what happens sometimes, Genric. Some RPs tend to get lost in the flood of them that is the main forum front page.
Hey, that's not true, Genric. We like you just fine. As far as your RP goes, this was a bad time to start one because evryone will be starting school in the weeks to come (if they haven't already).
*gluggles Panpear just as she is about to resume lurking* Gotcha!
I like dice systems and tabletops, but don't get much of a chance to play them (because they're so darn expensive! To top it off, my mother thinks they are demonic and the like.).
Lucky, Candy!

cheese_whine cheese_whine cheese_whine I don't like whiny people either, it's just that I don't post in here often and I thought I should finally get my two cents back into the race, but now that a few heads of the guild don't want me, I know where I am best needed, in keeping those rps out there going.

She's got a point though. It is about presentation, I mean...you gotta really flesh out the world yourself. Running a game is all about work, even stuff that you don't know will ever come into play in the game itself. I've filled up whole notebooks with information and details in some of the bigger campaign worlds with stuff that the players probably don't even THINK about during the game: Economics, politics, population, popular opinion about kingdom-wide matters, even getting as far into the nitty gritty as writing up an inventory for each store. That takes time and most of the time it goes unappreciated, but it's stuff like that that helps you get more into the world, it makes you really care more, and it gives you and the players so many more options about where you want to go and what you want to do. D&D, or any RPG for that matter, shouldn't just have to be about hacking your way through a dungeon or whatever. It's an RPG, and players should be able to do what they want. But you can't get that without work. And a lot of it. Though I still haven't got my brother beat. He made up his own game world, even down to fine details such as size and axis tilt @.@ lol I'm not raggin' on ya man, just trying to give you a few pointers. If you want to make a good engrossing game, then you have to have an engrossing setting for them to play in too. Even if you're already using a pre-established one, it's up to you to give it a little extra life and really bring the campaign world into light.
/rant
lol, sorry, I'm done now.
And Yoder made a good point too; with people starting back in school, moving off to college or whatever...there isn't going to be much time for people to spend with another new RP while they get adjusted to their new schedules and stuff. And another good point is that sometimes things just drown out there. So don't sweat it. Just try again. ^.^
Oh, and thanks Rhi biggrin
