"Yeah, really," Keegan nodded, putting his hands in his pockets. "But Nidoking looked pretty roughed up, you should get him some treatment ASAP." He thought back to the battle he'd witnessed between Jaeshan and Kasiya a while back, and grinned, thinking it mighty gutsy of himself to be telling a fairly experienced trainer what to do. In his own defense, however, he was certain he'd made tons of progress since he'd left Lavaridge (and not counting the two times he'd been back again since). "And don't worry," he added. "They won't turn you away. Stuff like that happens all the time. They're prepared for anything."

"That would be nice." Toph said still mad the gym leader. Turning her concentration back to the battle she could feel Storm digging through the earth. Suddenly the small turtle pokemon burst through the ground right next to the Onix and unleashed another Water Gun attack thinking that that would be a good move and unexpected. Toph was surprised at the fact that the Squirtle had missed until it unleashed its Water Gun attack and then she grinned impressed at her little pokemon's ingenuity. Edge who watched Storm was impressed as well and felt good that he was working on the same team as the water pokemon.

Not prepared for this surprise Onix was taken aback and recieved a critical hit from the Water Gun. Deciding against a Bind Onix instead used it's egg attack, Rock Slide, by slamming it's tail against a nearby boulder sending tons of rock bits at the small Squirtle. "Good thinking Onix." Brock sighed knowing that the attack had done much harm to it.

Storm gave a cry of suprise as the load of rocks fell on the water pokemon. he did the only thing he could think of and that was duck his head into his shell just as the earth crashed above him covering him up. Toph frowned as she felt her pokemon get covered in rubble, she couldn't really do anything about that and she really couldn't order her pokemon around until he got out so she decided to wait. It was a few moments befor Toph felt something through the earth from around the area that Storm was in. The best way she could discribe it was like a shift of weight, or a change in something. To the outsider it looked as if there were shafts of light coming from various holes in the rock.

With out warning the rock around Storm was blown off by a burst of water from Storm. Where the Squirtle had once been there was now a newly evovled.

Toph had no idea what was going on, all she sensed was that Storm was somehow different. She could feel the change in weight and the water pokemon seemed to be more confident now. Edge seemed to know what was going on though and reaching up for her belt he unhooked the pokedec and scanned the Wartortle.

'Wartortle' it started off. 'the evolved for of Squirtle. This pokemon's large tail is covered with thick fur that it uses to store air for long dives. The scratches on the shell are a symbol of this pokemon's toughness in battle.' The machine said easily happy to explain everything.

Toph was suprised. She didn't know much about pokemon and evolution was a complete mystery to her. "Storm evolved into Wartortle?" She said suprised.

The little Pidgey was looking rattled, but still refused to go down so easily. She pushed herself high into the air, then came streaking down, once again slamming herself into the star-shaped Pokemon. Starrie gave a cry of discomfort; the red gem in the center of its body began to blink rapidly. "Starrie..." Miharu cried, knowing that meant its energy was low. Thinking fast, she remembered that Starrie could regenerate itself! "Recover!" she called, giving the Staryu ample time to regain its composure. A white radiance seemed to flow out of its inner core and engulf its body, restoring a large sum of its energy. Feeling renewed, Starrie jumped back into battle poise, ready to go again. Pidgey, however, had other ideas, as she chose to fly up high and stay as far out of range as possible. She began to create a vortex of wind with her wings, and aimed it right for Starrie, who was pulled inside.

"Would you look at that, that Squirtle evolved. Yep this is why I like my job." Brock said smiling at the new pokemon. But it was kinda weird how his challenger was acting, she didn't seem joyed or anything. "We're not going to let that stop us! Go Rock Tomb!" Brock said to his Onix. It once more smashed into the rocks nearby to make several fall from the ceiling quickly at the Wartortle.

The now faster and stronger pokemon jumped out of the way of the falling rocks. Unlike Brock he wasn't suprised at Toph's actions, he figured that his blind trainer had no idea as to what had just happened. To Toph's credit even though she didnt know what had happened she was back in control of things. "Storm use Bubble and cover the arena." The newly evolved pokemon nodded and taking a deep breath befor releasing a wide spread Bubble attack covering the arena in the shiney bubbles.

"Starrie!" Miharu cried, looking frightened. Even after recovering its health, Starrie had been swept away by the Gust with ease. That Pidgey was tenacious, that was certain. "Use Rapid Spin! Try to get out of there!" the small girl cried, her voice stricken with worry. Starrie tried its best to regain its composure, but was unable to concentrate while trapped within the swirling gale. Finally, after several heart-stopping moments, the gust died down, dropping Starrie onto ground with a thud, its center core blinking rapidly again. Miharu grit her teeth and quickly recalled her fallen Staryu, taking a moment to look up at the Pidgey, who seemed to be grinning at her. "It's not over yet!" she yelled, nearly scaring herself in the process. After a moment of thought, she decided on a Poke Ball, and let it fly. Lily appeared before her, blinking her large red eyes and looking around in confusion. The Bulbasaur spied the Pidgey, flying high overhead, a look of disdain spreading across her face. She cast a glance back at Miharu, wondering if she was serious. When the girl nodded, Lily gave a sigh, deciding right then and there that she wouldn't let this bird Pokemon make a fool out of her again.

((Last post of the night.))

"How annoying. Use Rock Slide to remove the bubbles." Onix quickly complied sending a wave of rocks at the oncoming bubbles. Almost all of them were destroyed but a few lingered about the field. "If it tries anything funny use that move." Brock said confidently.

((Good night))

Hearing most of the bubbles, if not all of them pop Toph made an annoyed sound. "Fine, Storm use Bite." Toph ordered. The larger water pokemon nodded and leeped at the Onix running up to the top of it and leeping again for the horn on the top of the rocky pokemon's head, that was the only place that he would be able to bite into.

((My last post too... Stupid scheduling people sticking me with the early shift crap! scream ))
Pidgey eyed the Bulbasaur warily, and decided that she'd keep her distance. She whipped up another Gust attack, and sent it flying down towards Lily. Due to the distance between the opposing Pokemon, Lily sidestepped, even with her lack of speed. Miharu pursed her lips, trying to think of an effective way to battle the Pidgey while it was in the air. A thought struck her, and she smiled. "Lily, use Sweet Scent! Lure her down here so she'll be within your reach!" Not sure what her trainer meant, Lily nodded, as a puff of sickeningly sweet air came wafting out of the bulb planted on her back. It floated in the direction of the Pidgey, who immediately became drawn to it. Still a little cautious, she flew down softly, now only a few feet away from the two. "Now, while she's close!" Miharu cried in an excited voice. "Vine Whip!"

Two thick vines snapped out of the sides of the bulb, lashing out quickly and striking the unsuspecting Pidgey in the stomach. She was thrown back against a nearby tree, and fell to the ground, struggling to get up. "Sleep Powder," Miharu said finally, hoping this would do the trick. Lily took a few steps forward, a cloud of shimmering blue powder drifting out of her bulb and floating down gently onto the Pidgey. She was asleep in seconds, and now Miharu took her chance. She reached into her backpack and pulled out an empty Poke Ball. She enlarged it with a simple click of the central button, and let it fly at the soundly sleeping Pidgey...

"When I have a mission for you I will call you. Make sure your traveling companions don't know what you are doing or who you are talking to. If you ever need help just look at your pokenav and if any of my assosciates are nearby call them. The nav should show their current location as well. If they are nearby they will come to assist you. Us members of the Tekcor Sqaud take care of our own." Dante said smiling. He looked at his watch and sighed while kepping his smile up. "Now that you have rested up let's get you back to your friends." Dante said helping Z down from the bed. "Sure. You said they went back to the hotel right?" Z asked managing to stand up straight without help. "Yep. I told them to stay there until you came back. Dante said leading Z out of the door of his dark house and out into the outside world where it was early afternoon. "Follow me. I know how to get to your hotel from here." Dante said as he started to walk. Z followed rather slowly but managed to keep from limping or grunting in pain. Z liked keeping his pride intact.

Mitsu's mouth began to water slightly, the food that M.A. was preparing smelled heavenly. "I'm sure Nightmare will be fine," Mitsu laughed looking up at the Gyrados. "The Pokemon Center seems to even have a hard time filling him up. I wondoner how they could manage to feed a Snorlax." Sapphire nodded to the Houndour as well before resting next to Mitsu who sat down, folding her legs into the 'indian style.' She resolved to take Kasiya's advice and rest, the sooner she got better the sooner she could get a move on.

Not too pleased with the idea, Mitsu handed Kasiya Zyphyr's Great Ball. "Take your time," she said, "I should be the one taking him anyways." She looked back at the water for a second or two before looking back up. "Thanks. I owe you one," Mitsu smiled. Before she could say anything more her Pokenav gave a sharp ring. Startled, she picked up the red device flipping it open to find a picture of a girl. It had taken her a second to realize that the girl was indeed Dante. Mitsu cracked up, it hurt her sides to laugh. "Thanks Meowth, I so owe you," she said aloud to no one in specific. She quickly texted him a message that read:

"You make a pretty girl Dante, are you sure you're not one? xD
Please tell Meowth I said thanks for the lovely picture."

She hit enter before showing the picture to Kasiya and M.A. "It's Dante," she said. She resolved to call him up once she felt better, she'd have to know what this was all about. "My big brother crossdresses," she said to herself before laughing once more at the rediculious thought.

"She's right, you outta rest up a bit," M.A. half-echoed Kasiya, concern evident in her tone as she watched Mitsu falter. Well, food would give her back some of her strength, probably, if anything else. Glancing up at Kasiya, the girl regretted that she couldn't do much to help the Pokemon herself, and on a lesser note (although it was a frivolous thought), that Kasiya couldn't stay around and eat as well -- she looked like she hadn't ate lunch either. But the Pokemon's health came first and foremost, and speed might be of the essence; she hoped that things would turn out quite alright soon. "Have a safe trip," she said, smiling and worrying (for both Kasiya and Zyphyr) like she tended to. The safe-trip phrase was a queer little habit of hers, though it fit the occasion a little better what with Zyphyr's condition; Michael had disappeared once for so long that she had begun to worry that he'd never come back, at least not safe and sound. After that, he never left without her wishing him a safe journey. However, M.A. wasn't a particularly pessimistic girl by nature, and so she added cheerily, "When Mitsu feels better, we can meet you there. And we'll save food for ya, too."

Mary-Anne was just spooning out the stir-fry into plastic bowls when she paused to peek at the Mitsu's Pokenav. Dante? Must be a friend of theirs?

"She's your big brother?" the young brunette asked confusedly, murkily piecing one and one together. "Oh! But why. . . ?" There had been something funny about the picture, after all; it wasn't just her imagination. Meanwhile, she handed a bowl and fork to Mitsu, hoping she'd like it and looking on like any other cook presenting their meal.

Kasiya's PokeNav had received the message too, although she'd turned down the ringer in order to stop scaring herself with it. "I bet I got the same message," she grinned, and looked at it. "I can't believe that's him!" she giggled. "Now why on earth would he want to dress like a girl? I never would have pegged him to be a cross dresser." She smiled to herself as she closed the PokeNav, making sure she had Zyphyr's Great Ball secured. She glanced down at Shocker, who didn't look like she intended to go anywhere just now. "Okay then, you stay here Shocker," Kasiya told the Raichu, who nodded eagerly. She'd been carefully watching everything that M.A. had been doing. "It shouldn't be too far from here, nor should it take too long." The girl flashed her friend a reassuring smile. "And you don't owe me anything. That's what friends are for, right? Oh, and I'm sorry to be running out on lunch, M.A., it smells so wonderful!" She started to unfold her bike, feeling almost guilty. But then again, Zyphyr needed help, and she wouldn't let Mitsu down. The last section clicked into place, and Kasiya mounted her bike. "I'll either meet you guys back here or up the road," she said, giving them both a thumbs-up as she pushed off, and was soon riding towards Verdanturf. "Even I can't get lost on such a short journey, right?"
