mykilz WOOT! i play clarinet in my band, and im also assistant director and assistant drum major. I am section leader, and have mad skills... i suck at sight reading, but am skilled at everything else... i am an 8th grader who can play college level music..... domokun YEAH! we played the original pirates of the carribean music today... UN-EDITED! i wuz the only one in my section who could play it all.... in my band, we play hard level 3 to mid level 4 music.... CUZ WE R TIGHT LIKE THAT!!! we also are a marching band, and we kinda suck, but we got like 15 trophies, and all that.... at the band reviews, we usually beat like all the high schools there except for like 2-3... but even then, we are only like .2 points away from tying with them.... mrgreen YEAH..... here, check us out!OH! and before i forget, we are going to hawaii in like march next year.... to play for the hawaiian festival parade or something like that... and we are also playing with the marine corp band!!!! so yea.... ur hatin! [edit] I FORGOT! i have been playing clarinet for like a year now, and i started playing tenor sax at the beginning of the school year... like in august... im in the jazz band too![/edit] Wow we play pirates already....I am the first chair too (only clarinet) I have played for 10 year now :3

hey other clarinoodles hows it goin iam probly one of the youggest 1 who posted iam 12 and still in 7th grade at lee middle school i have a buffet plasctic(but wooden looking) clarinet iam still playing #2 read but iam very high on the good lists of clarinets iam probly eather #1 or #2 out of 11 and all so iam alot better than alot of 8th graders . iam in jazz band that meets at 7:00 in the mornig 3 days aweek ive been in 2 out of 2 honor bands that were offered and also there was only 4 people from the hole band that could go heheheheh so BUH BYE NOW! heart heart emo

hey i play pirates of the carribean to (but i kindav suck at parts i just got it this week) 10 years wow that 6-7 more than me u must be amazlingy good!

I'm currently 2 chair symphonic band at my high school(have been since band camp) and my band is going to New York in the spring. I have only played in 1 high school band( marching and concert season) but 3 different middle school bands. I moved around a lot. but I am so glad I found this guild!!I can talk to ppl about band and they now what I'm saying!!!! lol

wow. ive only been playing for 2 years. but thats only becuz were not allowed 2 start until 7th grade and im only n 8th. stupid school system!!!!! but im n jazz band. im n advanced band. i made it n2 the honor band which was a thing where awesome ppl were selected 2 go on a 3 day trip 4 this honor band thing. xD there were 3 bands: gold, silver, and crimson. i made it n2 gold and i was 11th chair. crying but there were 72 clarinets total. not including bass, oboe, and such. and im going 2 all-state! whatever that is....xDDD

Clarinets rule! =DDD Mine is wooden! and i use number 3 vandorren reeds. XDDD im constantly breaking them. on my honor band trip thingy, i broke 7 n one day. and we were there 4 3 days so u can imagine how many others i broke. -_-' im such a tard. XD

Hello clarinet players! I'm a senior at Ronald Reagan High School in San Antonio, Texas. It's a little sad. There are somewhere between 49 to 60 clarinets in our section, and only four of us are seniors. crying Seventh year playing clarinet and going strong!

Obaa-chan one day, my clarinet was gone from the cabinet! O_O I looked all over, and found it in the trumpet section.. it was fine, except for the fact that they BROKE my new mouthpiece! crying It made me very sad. I'm still playing on my old one now, cause I can't get a student discount anymore. Well,that was a fun story. Who here chews on new reeds?! i think trumputs are morons. (in my band anyway cuz they're all boys and we're all girls) they are always flirting with us and taking our cases and reeds (which me and my friend Addy like to chew on cuz they taste like, well Michell Lurie reeds taste like pretzels and Vandorens taste like peppermint). They can be SO immature!! stare but thats just my opinion, no offence to anybody who disagrees

im in 6th grade. rofl i play a plastic Bb clarie named Lucy! I only use 3 reeds and would like some Vandorens for Christmas!! next year Lucy is going to retire and be my practice-at-home instrument and I am going to play oboe!!!

fma_midnighter hey,has anyone played a piece called Be Thou My Vision by Carl Strommen??? its dedicated to a Jon and Rihanna It was in one of our warm-up books last year. They playeed it so much in previous years that we only played it 4 or 5 times. Band is a period for us to. Jazz band is A period.

mykilz Toy-x-Guns Bonjour, fellow clarinetists! Let me just say, the clarinet is the BEST instrument ever! I've got a sister who plays the trumpet, and her ego is so big, I swear! What is it with brass players? Just because they're all that and a bag of chips in marching band. We totally rule concert season! Well I'm a freshman, and this year was my first year of marching band, and it's AMAZING! heart I've been playing for ... let's see ... 4 and a half years now. I'm learning to play alto sax, but it's nowhere near as amazing as the clarinet. I wouldn't be learning alto if clarinets were allowed in jazz band, but just because we can't bend notes or use vibrato ... it's so ... instrument racist. stare that last sentence is SO true! but actually clarinets can do a vibrato, but its kinda crappy unless you practice... i have to learn tenor sax cuz my school jazz band doesnt have clarinets.... now i play tenor too, but its not EVEN close to the awesomeness of the CLARINET!!!! my middle school teacher told us that they didnt have clarinets in jazz band because clarinets arent jazz instruments. i was like "excuse me!" i have heard so many jazz songs with a clarinet as the main instrument and i thought they sounded so cool!
