[[Oh wellz.]]
Alti was acting...strange, much more nervous than usual which, he supposed, was to be expected after what had just transpired not too long before...but still, it was quite an odd nature for the teen who was usually stubbornly resolute. "Are you okay?" He asked suddenly, pulling off a glove as he slid a hand against the teen's forehead.

Alti blinked and then, realising that -- of course -- Haar would have noticed, he gave the other a grin -- an expression much more remniscent of his usual state of mind. "Ehh, yeah, m'alright," he replied, though the flush was still quite evident on his features. It didn't help that Haar had leaned closer in order to check the teen's temperature, but Alti had lived his entire life almost stubbornly clueless to such things and so he thought he might be able to maintain that... mind frame. Maybe. If Haar didn't do anything that made it too difficult. "M'just a bit cold, maybe," he replied. It was true, too. With the sinking of the sun it had grown much colder. The pale teen shivered slightly, bright orange eyes fixed upon the other's darker hues. Haar really was very close and it was making him blush....

Red eyes swept across the landscape, noting that many of the people left at the festival were either too drunk or were busy watching performances to notice the two young males. It was dark enough to hide his features as well, so Haar figured it was safe... Wrapping an arm around the younger male's shoulder with a relatively casual expression, the soldier grinned to himself. It was always easier to show his feelings when he knew no one else could see...

Alti flushed slightly, orange orbs glancing cautiously up at the other for a moment before they focused back on the path before them. Haar was... warm. Well, of course he was -- the man was a Fire native, after all, and therefore ran hotter than most others....
The trip back to the inn was uneventful. Alti was indeed a small boy and likely would have gained at least some small trouble from the drunks had he been alone, but he had Haar with him and that easily detered anyone who might have even glanced at the boy -- not that the dark-haired youth ever noticed such attentions; in fact, he was completely oblivious to them. He just wanted to get back to their room and get warm. It felt so completely odd to have such reliable weather... Had he been home, he likely would have experienced a change from a cool afternoon to the tropics, colder, back around and several other temperatures and hummidities all within one day. Here, the weather was rather... consistent.
They were quickly through the lobby and up the stairs, the teen producing the small key and unlocking the door with slender, pale fingers clasped around the metal bit. One click later and they were inside, the door closing silently behind. "Ahhh... s'nice and warm....." Alti murmured slowly, a small smile on his lips as he stretched his hands out before himself.
((Eeeee. I'm so excited about the Golden Compass! Even more, tho, I can't wait til the second one comes out becuase it introduces my favorite character! Wiiiiiiii~ll! x3 <33333333333333333333 ))

Haar pressed the door fully closed behind him, locking it with a firm flick of his wrist before he took several steps forward towards his bed. The room was much more...cozy than the fire capitol's castle. Lest risk burning something down everything was stone and marble and granite, which, of course, was magnificent in it's own sense but nothing close to the comfortable feel on the inn. Even though the kingdom the two were currently situated in was known for it's plentiful rays of sunshine, it was, nonetheless, winter and when the sun sank low out of view the kingdom cooled to a regular frosty temperature. Although Haar had a higher body temperature, common to those of the fire nation, he still enjoyed a bit of warmth on a cold night. Thankful for Alti's monetary standing, the two had found themselves in a slightly, what some might call, lavish inn compared to the several, simpler, traveler's inns around the area.
Crouching down in front of the room's specialty feature, Haar stretched out his bare hand towards the fireplace which was stocked with several logs. Lighting a fire, the soldier watched the orange-red flames for a minute or so before he sat down, untying his boots with a distracted sort of look.

((Ohshiz, how did you manage that? D: Poor Tato's non-tablet-ness. gonk ))
"Ahhhh...." A small sigh of relief issued from the boy's lips as he began to warm up, the heat of the fire gradually spreading to the rest of the (already quite warm) room. Gloves were slowly removed and, after a minute or so during which the dark-haired teen allowed his body temperature to rise, the jacket followed. He felt tingly and excited all over -- probably, no... deffinately because of what had happened earlier with Haar -- but, at the same time, he had grown a little weary.... The events of the night had been rather exhausting.... A pale hand raised and slender fingers brushed against the soft, porcelein flesh on the back of his neck. He winced slightly, fingers immidiately withdrawing as he was suddenly reminded of the events that had proceeded Haar's... confession... kiss.... thing. It was more the latter than the former, but the older male had said that he... liked.... Alti. Pale cheeks soon became rosy at that thought and he hastilly turned his face away from Haar and the fire and he sat down on his bed. He bent down slowly and untied his laces before he kicked off his shoes, his socks soon following.
Golden eyes finally raised to glance over at Haar, a bright highlight of flickering flame colors outlining the man's skin in reflection of the fire. Haar would probably catch him looking and then be unnerved or something but Alti couldn't help it....

[[Well it's been in need of repair/replacement for a while because the cord around the wires was actually split, and then it completely split but the wires were still intact and everything so I just taped electrical tape around it. Yesterday I went to do a commission and my tablet wasn't working and I saw that one of the wires had actually snapped so I was trying to get the tape off of it and snaaap, they all broke. I'm pretty sure tablets aren't made like mine anymore (or at least I hope not), they probably have USB cords that can be plugged in and out of the tablet so they can be replaced but mine's several years old and the USb cord was attached to the tablet. Boo. :< I don't know if it can be fixed.]]
Haar had stopped looking at the fire, red eyes set forward but unseeing as the soldier reminisced over the night's events. The flames surged a bit as Haar recalled why exactly Alti had been in the woods. Julian. The b*****d. Not only did he make him go through one hell of a heal job, he also practically choked Alti, at least that's what Haar could tell from the marks on the teen's neck. And for what? For nothing...
The young man sighed heavily before getting up, shoving his boots off to the side with his foot before looking at Alti with a clearly tired expression. He hadn't followed Ceris's instructions of going to sleep quickly after eating and he was paying for it dearly. [[Is this the same day? I can't even remember. Oh well.]] "Are you okay?" He asked, gesturing towards the teen's neck before undoing the buttons of his shirt, glancing around for the stack of clothes Ceris had promised him.

((I got my tablet last year, but it has an attatched cord... it's reinforced, tho. *shrug*
And to answer your question, it's the day after... O: ))
Alti blinked slightly, taken out of his minor reverie by the sound of the other's voice. Golden eyes flickered for a moment, wavering like a tongue of flame, before the brightness surged back with its usual strength. It seemed that ever since the other had begun to teach him fire magic there had been something distinctly more... flame-like in the pale youth's eyes...
"Y-yeah... I guess..." he murmured with a small shrug. "Still hurts, but... only when I touch it." He gave the older male a small slightly sheepish smile. He didn't want Haar to worry about him but he also didn't want to lie.... It wouldn't do much good to pretend he was better than he actually was.
Bright golden-orange hues lowered quickly as the other stripped off his shirt, a small flush forming on his cheeks. He didn't want... Haar to think he was... staring at him. And, anyway, he was... well, he wasn't used to thinking of Haar... as anything more than a friend and... he didn't yet know how to quite deal both with the sudden pounding of his own heart as well as the sudden surge of feelings that had both most deffinately been caused by Haar's presence.... Alti was just so completely unsure of himself now; he was treading in unknown waters.

[[I suppose just with the cord being bent in the same position for years it got pwned. ;w; I fail.]]
Haar's expression lifted for just a moment, his lips twitching into a small grin, as he stepped forward across the wood floor. Pushing back dark indigo hair, the soldier tilted the boy's head just barely to the side, careful not to touch any of the pale bruises already forming. Damn, Allora was going to kill him, and not just for this but...even if they were on better terms than when they had first met he couldn't be sure she thought of him as anything acceptable. It didn't look as if Julian had done any permanent damage, just bruised the other's pale skin. Haar bent forward, red eyes scanning the slim contours of Alti's neck for a moment or so before leaning back with thoughtful sort of expression.
"I'm sorry, he said finally, his hand drifting through the teen's hair hesitantly, "Some escort I turned out to be."

((But Allora already loves Haar? D:
And xmas is coming soon, Tato, so maybe you won't have to deal with it for too long? 8D;; ))
The flush brightened further as the other bent forward and... slightly tanned fingers brushed gently against the pale flesh of his neck, causing Alti to reden even more. He had almost thought that... Haar was about to kiss him. Maybe he was thinking too much -- after all, Haar didn't seem to be thinking about it too much -- but he couldn't help it. Alti had never... well, he'd never even really had friends, let alone... someone who was more.... He just couldn't stop being so overly self-conscious.
Golden eyes flickered up to meet the other's, the blush still quite prominent on his cheeks as he once again shrugged. "It'll heal quickly... I might even be able to heal it since it's pretty small...." he murmured, brow furrowed. "And Mother already has taken quite a... liking to you... so I don't think you'll have to worry about her...." he added after a moment. He seemed to have read at least something of what Haar had been thinking, so perhaps he wasn't completely useless.

[[Sorry about that, I had to go pick up my sis and then we were talking and stuff. :<

"No matter how much your mother may tolerate me, I don't think any of that will matter if she finds out you got hurt while supposedly on my watch," Haar murmured, his expression somewhat troubling. "She's rather protective of you, you know, I think I may have to go into hiding," he said softly with a hint of a grin, red eyes glinting an orange-glow in the firelight. "However," he started in a much more teasing tone, his whole posture changing as he slid weather-worn fingers through deep indigo hair, "She did seem to be obsessed with the idea of you finding...someone, I might be able to appease her in that area," he said, letting his hand fall back to his side.

((S'alright. I'm reading Reborn! right now. 8D;; ))
Alti flushed again. Mother had always been rather... fixated on that -- always going on about how Alti should just find a nice guy and settle down.... adopt some kids or somehow materialize them out of thin air. Really, she was quite crazy.... Still, though, Alti had eventually, as Haar put it, found... someone. Haar. Bright amber hues glanced up at Haar as the man's hand fell from his indigo locks.
"I don't think she'll get too mad at you or anything. This..." he began, gesturing to his neck, "is nothing bad. I've had much worse, so it's nothing new... She's probably overly protective because most of the time it's just me doing... 'rebellios' things," he said, giving a small eye-roll to show how much he thought of his mother's idea of rebellion. Really, he was quite mild compared to how rebellious any normal Storms child could be -- probably only because he was kept under a much closer watch than most other children. He offered Haar a light grin, then, and added, "Instead of being angry with you, she'll probably start trying to fits suits on you and...." Alti paused, his grin faultering. A small groan issued from between his lips. "Knowing her she'll be forcing me into a wedding gown if she ever hears about this....." And Alti knew Allora's behavior quite well.
((How scary. 8D;;; ))

Haar genuinely laughed at the very thought of Alti being forced into a wedding dress. The poor boy's mother would probably have to somehow magic the dress to stay on him, for Haar couldn't really see Alti going along with cross-dressing. "And that, among other reasons, is why she's going to have to be left in the dark on this," he murmured, scratching at his head a bit before rubbing the back of is hand against one eye.
"Well, as long as she doesn't kill me or forbid me from seeing you I think I'll be good," he finally said before turning back to his own bed. Haar wasn't quite sure how to handle this sort of situation. He wasn't usually someone who just hauled off and kissed people, granted he did like Alti but...his past relationships never seemed to work out due to outside reasons... Nonetheless, Haar still felt like he was doing this all wrong.
"Sweet dreams," he murmured with a smirk, red eyes settled upon the sheets.

((I just saw Enchanted. It was really good! x3 ))
Alti nodded in furvent approval. Yes, it really would be quite terrible if Allora found out... She was more than likely to do something hideous -- the wedding dress had just been a... a joke, but he could actually see her doing that if she ever did find out.....
"As long as she doesn't forbid me from seeing you..." Amber-orange eyes dropped the moment those words left the other's lips, a bright pink flush forming quite nicely on his pale cheeks. He knew Haar wasn't much of a... a... lady-killer? Well, in this situation that wasn't quite the right phrase, but... But anyway, Haar didn't seem to be the type to try and slay the hearts of others with florid words of predestined love and the like, but... but those few, simple words had been enough to make the teen's cheeks burn quite brightly.
Golden eyes rose once the other spoke again and he nodded. "G'night," he mumbled in a slightly embarrassed fashion, still feeling his face burn a bright crimson. He still needed to change, though, before he went to bed.....

[[Aw, I want to see that so bad. ;w;]]
Haar slid off his shirt completely, brushing a hand through his hair a bit before yawning as he set his shirt down with the pile of clothes Ceris had brought for him. As he was getting ready to slide into bed and wait for a few minutes 'til he fell asleep, not to get up until morning, Haar thought of something better to preoccupy those few minutes he usually spent thinking about his day, the future, and other such nonsense he really had no control over.
The soldier walked smoothly across the floor, trying to make as little sound as possible. "I need to talk to you in the morning," he murmured, leaning over the teen's bed with a nervously determined gaze. "So wake me up if you're up before me, would you?"
