Eric says "Okay that is a good idea about the crib. What? You don't think I did a good job drawing the castle?...Just kidding, I'm sure Nate will do a good job putting animals in." He gives her a kiss. The doorbell rings so Eric goes down to answer it. It was Lawyer Maxwell with Nate's papers for his title transfer and the adoption papers for Stephan and Lissa. Eric calls Sonja, Lissa, and Stephan to the living room to sign the papers. Eric signs first then has Sonja sign the transfer papers. Stephan and Lissa sign the adoption papers. They were very excited. "Thank you!" They said hugging Sonja and Eric. Eric says "We should have a party tonight to celebrate! Let's call a caterer to bring some food."

Sonja grinned when Nate became officially Stephan's and Lissa's son "we had to order this 3 days ago Eric..but here's an idea...We don't know when Nate's birthday is right? we just know it was on summer..how about declaring this day as his birthday day? he is a good boy, he is hardworking and it seems he doesn't give up easily..so how about preparing a party for him...but with a cake and presents as well?"she suggested speaking quietly so he wouldn't listen even if he was still busy with the twins' room

Eric likes Sonja's idea and whispers "Okay sounds like a really good idea. I know I will fly and get some take out foods for our meal. Leave it to me. What kinds of gifts shall we get? Maybe some art books and paints? What else did he say he liked? Hmm....did he buy that booster thing at the music store? We can get that." Stephan and Lissa think..."Sonja is good at decorating. We can help wrap the gifts." Lissa says "Stephan go with Eric and pick up something nice for Nate from us. Maybe a nice watch or something?" Stephan nods "Okay."

Sonja grinned "we will get him that booster then!"she grnned "let's not make it a surprise party, but we will explain the situation..or he will be really surprised! Lissa how about going to him and ask him about his favorite food and music without lettting him know what we are planning?"

Lissa and Stephan go up to tell Nate. "Nate we signed your papers you are official! We decided that this day should be your official new birthday and we want to have a party. What is your favorite food? Do you have something you would like for a gift?" They were jumping up and down hugging him very excited. Eric goes with Sonja to tell the twins about the party. "Yeah that will be fun"

Nate was still painting but when he saw them so happy he let his paint brush down and ran his hand through his cheek letting a track of blue paint which actually made him seem adorable "that's a great idea! so it's my birthday? i don't want any presents you bought me new clothes today!"he said but hugged them both "umm how about Chinese? i love Chinese..there was an old woman who had dinner with master one and she wanted me to eat too! i loved it!"he grinned Sonja got in to the twins "guys we will have a party! Nate is official Alexs brother so we thought this is a good day to declare his birthday...just like yours are the day you came home!"she said smiling.

The twins were happy for Nate. "Yeah Nate has a family too! Let's make a card!" The twins go start making a card. "We can help decorate after we make the card!" Stephan says "Okay Chinese food it is. We will be back soon." Stephan goes to get Eric so that they can get ready. "Nate didn't want presents." He says to Sonja and Eric. Eric smiles "There must be presents! We will get something. Let's go so we can be back when the truck comes."" Eric transports them to the store. They get a watch, the booster, and art supplies. For the Chinese food Eric transports them to Chinatown for real good Chinese food and then they go to the bakery to get a cake. After an hour they transport back with lots of stuff. "Were home!"

The truck was home and Sonja was telling the men there were to put the stuff..in the great hall actually where she had set a party scene with balloons and other decors which weren't too much for a teenager and was praising Nate for carrying the boxes he could upstairs even if this was his day. She was holding Alex too so Lissa could have her hands free since sonja couldn't carry things anyway. Nate went out when he heard the car "oh it's dad and Eric!"he said calling the archangel by hsi first name without a little for the first time meaning he had started to open up more and really feel like a member of this family. Sonja walked to him and tapped his shoulder "go take alex to mom Nate i need to talk to these two"she said just to shoo Nate not wanting him to see the presents until it was time

The truck being there was a perfect distraction for Nate so that Eric and Stephan could sneak in the gifts. They put them in a downstairs room and Eric says to Sonja "Can you wrap these? You are better at decorating than I am." He shows her the pile of gifts they got full of an art easel, art brushes and paints, books, the booster, and a sleek silver watch from Stephan and Lissa with Nate's name engraved on the back in a heart and saying love mom, dad, and lil bro. Then Stephan brings in the food while Eric hid the cake in the back room. They set up the food on the buffet table in the dining room. While Nate was upstairs. Stephan then goes upstairs "We got the food so as soon as the delivery guys are done we can eat! Eric took me to a real Chinatown in China to get the food! It was an amazing flight the we landed in a clearing and drove back here." The twins made a gift of their own, a photo album of their trip to Jack's island with photos of them all during their trip. The printed one big one with them and their pillows from the movie night that was very cute. They made a cardboard frame and decorated it with pictures of shells and water then wrapped it and hid it for later. The twins then went to help unload the truck but they were little so they took little bags of clothes.

Sonja grinned "i'm sure he will love this!! remeber what i say, he won't stop drawing"she said and took all the gifts in the kitchen shutting the door to start wrapping them. SHe would hide them under the buffet table and would reveal them as soon as it was time. She admired Lissa's and Stephan's gift..it was delicate yet appropriate for a teen and an adult so Nate could have it for many years! Nate walked downstairs not knowing a single thing about gifts and hoping they had heard him and hadn't bought anything. He didn't want them to spend more money for him

The twins went down the back stairs so Nate would nit see their gift and card. They saw mommy hiding the gifts so they put theirs their too just before Nate came. They look at all of the food. "Happy Birthday Nate!!!!" Say the twins as he arrives. Eric tipped the delivery people as they left and came to the dining room. ""Happy Birthday!"as he goes to stand with Sonja. Lissa, Stephan and Alex were just behind Eric and said "Happy Birthday Son!!!" They hugged and kissed him.

Nate arrived with Alex since he had heard him crying. He had probab;y felt lonely because when he picked him up he stopped crying and started trying to grip his hair. Seeing everyone in the hall he grinned "wow! thanks!"he said hugging everyone and kissing his mother on the forehead protectively "thank you for all the trouble you got in for me"he said not knowing how else to thank them Sonja saw Nate ebing a little shy so she moved forward and grabbed his free arm "enough of these for now...we got chinese for dinner and it won't be good to let it get cold!!"she iwnked pulling him at the table were the presents were hidden

Aki took pictures as everyone hugged. "Family picture!" He took a picture of the new family and Eric says "Let's dig in..." as he hands out plates. "Birthday boy first!" He hands Nate a plate. The twins say "It smells yummy! " Eric got all kinds of food to make a banquet. Everyone dug in.

Nate took his palte "thanks!"he said filling it with food "it's rea;;y tasty! where did you get it from?"he asked Sonja tapped his shulder "no questions! only food"she said filling her plate with a bit of verething and actually taking more than Nate

Stephan says "Eric knows a special place in Chinatown. It is fabulous! " They sit down to eat. The twins say our Birthday is October 5th when mommy brought us home. Our real birthday is near then too. We were winter solstice babies. Aki's name means fall and Yuki is snow. "Explains Yuki as she sits with Nate. "Mmmm yummy! "Say the twins.
