you were born in for love? Would you betray the friends that
you have made in this clan for love? Loyalty to the clan come
first Cloverkit." Icestorm mewed. She narrowed her eyes at
the kit. "A lesson you must learn quickly if you wish to be
an apprentice..." She hissed. Her tail twitched.

This kit... sure knows how to annoy me... She
hissed. "Oh? So you'd rather leave everything and
everyone in this clan all for the sake of one cat?
What's forbidden is forbidden, Cloverkit. You will
never become an apprentice if you continue to act this way
She said, scolding the kit. "And besides that... are
you really so sure that you are willing to give up everything
the clan has to offer? Food, warmth, shelter, friends,
and family... are you really willing to give it all up? She
mewed. Her tail twitched.

There's only pictures hung in the shadows,
Left there to look at you.══════════════════════════════════════════[I stopped as soon as I realized Lustrepaw wasn't following. I yowled, rushing back toward my apprentice, but froze as Whisperpaw burst out of the bushes. I watched in dismay as she killed it. "No, don't!" I screeched, but my voice was barely audible. I raced over to the bird, looking down at it. It wasn't alive.
After a few minutes of utter silence, I turned, my angry eyes glaring at the she-cat. "Idiot, now who's going to take care of her babies?! Now her babies will die, and we won't be able to eat them when they're full grown and Leaf-bare comes along!" I growled. Had the apprentice any sense at all?!
I turned to Lustrepaw, sighing. "We can take the bird back later, now let's see about those hunter's crouches," I meowed, quickly slipping into a crouch. I kept myself low to the ground, but not too low so my belly scratched against the ground.
A tingly sensation crawled up and down my back, and I yowled, collapsing into an itching spasm. I quickly scratched my ear, but stopped as the pain grew into a white hot fiery pain. I hissed, and looked at Lustrepaw once more. "Let's find some water first," I hissed urgently. This was exactly why I had told Lustrepaw not to touch the thorns.
[ooc:] Oh, a bird's nest is basically something at a mother bird makes before she lays her eggs, so she'll have somewhere to lay them, and keep them until they're full adults. It's kind of the same concept of wild cats making dens. The nests are usually made in trees and bushes, out of the way of predators. The pyracyntha bush made a good place to keep her chicks because of the thorns that cause a great deal of itching. biggrin ══════════════════════════════════════════You better stand tall,

 L U S T R E P A W- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -(Anachon: Haha I know what a bird's nest is, I was just confused as to why there was suddenly a giant bird's nest in the middle of the forest... blaugh )
[Before Lustrepaw could comprehend what was happening, a she-cat had darted out of nowhere and battled valiantly with the bird, eventually killing it but not without getting a few scratches herself.]
"Thanks, Whisperpaw...are you alright?"
[He meowed urgently as he checked her for any signs of injury, and his eyes widened as he saw the blood drenching her stomach.]
"That looks pretty bad...you'd better get that checked out. Thanks for saving me, anyhow."
[His tail flicked in embarrassment at his own stupidity for freezing up as he raced up to Cinderstreak, after giving Whisperpaw a look to convey his thanks.]
"Hunter's crouches? Ok."
[Quick to recover, Lustrepaw dropped into his hunter crouch smoothly, after having been instructed by Silverstar a few times when he was a kit. At that moment, he heard a hiss of agony, and turned to see his mentor writhing on the ground as though in pain.]
"Cinderstreak? What's wrong? Did the bird get you?"
[He tried to advance to his mentor, but was sent off to find some water. Since it seems pretty urgent, he figured that now was probably not the time to ask questions.]
Water...water...there should be some around here, right? Use your nose, Lustrepaw!
[He mentally yowled at himself, then remembered that it was impossible to smell water. Nevertheless, the ground at their paws were getting softer as they advanced, which meant that water could not be too far away.]
"This way!"
[He said over his head as he dashed forwards, reaching a small, shallow stream. Without any hesitation he dived straight in, finding that the water barely reached his neck.] - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Whisperpaw went back to the Camp. And to the Medicne Cat's den. Ignoring the blood that dripped all the way to camp, "I need some help"She mewed into the den. Seeign as Moonblaze wasn't there, she grabbed some cobweb's and palced them on her wound's unti lthey stopped bleeding.

Left there to look at you.══════════════════════════════════════════[I hissed.] "No, those stupid thorns got me!" I growled, but pelted after Lustrepaw. I silently hoped that the apprentice knew where he was going. The burning sensation was getting worse and worse.
I sighed in relief as I caught sight of the stream, and my muscles prepared to jump, when all of the sudden, I heard a yowl. "No I don't think so!" I heard my voice growl, and I halted. My eyes narrowed. "Don't be a kit, Cinderstreak, it's just water! I growled quite loudly.
Cinderstreak fought for his voice. "No. Night, we're not jumping in there!" he snarled, and I felt my paw bat at empty air.
I regained control of that paw quickly, and hissed. "Mousebrain, we're going in!" I snapped. Without hesitation, I launched myself into the somewhat chilly water. My paws quickly hit a rock barely under the water, and I felt pain shoot up my legs, as well as the pain from the cold. But my legs felt better.
Ignoring the pricking from Cinderstreak scratching at me, I sank into the water, letting it cool me. I had to admit, it wasn't bad. It wasn't too great, since it was uncomfortable, but it was tolerable. I smiled weakly at Lustrepaw. "See, ths is why you don't climb up bushes with scary thorns!" I purred, smirking. ══════════════════════════════════════════You better stand tall,

[Sullenpaw swiftly padded behind him, muscles nearly bursting with anticipation as she continued padding to the Training Hollow. Her eyes glided around the scenery, she herself had never actually been inside training hollow. Or if she had been, she couldn't remember any detail of its... symbolic beauty.] "So what would you like me to do first, Firestorm?"[Sullenpaw's genuine desire to train, and please was beginning to pick up, and calm her eagerness. Sullenpaw sat infront of Firestorm, wrapping her tail neatly around her front paws, obviously still filled with energy.]

L U S T R E P A W- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - [Just for fun, Lustrepaw had submerged his head underwater, and when he resurfaced, his head fur was sticking up comically in all directions.]
"Sorry what? Couldn't hear ya."
[He giggled mischievously like a kit as he pushed his forepaws forwards, splashing water all over Cinderstreak.]

Left there to look at you.══════════════════════════════════════════[The remains of a smirk danced on my muzzle as Cinderstreak's apprentice slashed water all over me. It felt good, but Cinderstreak thought otherwise.
Get us out of here, you mousebrain! I'm freezing, and I can't swim! We're going to DIE! he yowled scaredly, trying to fight for control.
Mousebrain, cut it out! I know how to swim! I thought angrily, almost baring my fangs. I didn't though, and replied, "Well, I suppose I could teach you to climb trees and bushes, and instead of hunting, I could show you the borders."
