Nikoli sighed a little.
He turned and sat on the edge of the roof, looking over the city.
"Academy scouts ambushed her. She took a hard chest hit before I got there. They were probably trying to root us out- we can't stay here much longer before more forces show up."

"When do you want to leave to go kill these bastards?" Aislin asked, a little sharper than she could have.
Gab flinched a little at her voice, he didn't want to be her enemy right then.

Core slowly woke up. He sat up and looked at the place where Chiasa was a few minutes ago, "...C-Chiasa?" He questioned. Putting one of his hands to his chest, he climbed off the bed, "...Where are you...?" He knew she wouldn't be the type to hide away, or that's what he was assuming. He felt that something was going on with her and it worried him.
Kir walked into the house quietly and looked into the living room. He smiled a little as he saw Lydia on the sofa asleep.

"Someone's in a lot of pain..." Lily said, shrinking a little away from where Chiasa was.
Core would have felt a weak pulling at him towards where Chiasa was.
Chiasa just rocked back and forth, hugging the pillow against her chest and grinding it between her teeth.

Nikoli takes a deep breath. "Soon. Tomorrow, at the soonest. as for the ones who did this to her, they're dead."
He turns to her, his eyes calm and soothing.
"You can't make this personal. You'll make mistakes. You'll die. And you have to be ready to accept the fact that we're not all going to make it through this alive. That's not the way war works."
Nikoli says this as softly as he can. It was a grim subject, but the had to get used to it.

Kir nodded and gave Lily's hand a small squeeze. He started filling Lily with a healing energy so she didn't get hurt.
Core ended up at the door that separated Chiasa from him, "...I'm coming in," He said and put his hand on the doorknob, trying to open the door. That strange sensation wasn't going away, and Chiasa seemed to be the cause. The door wouldn't open to him, "Chiasa please let me in," He pleaded, knowing something was up.

Aislin turned her face away her anger still a little sharp, "I know how war works... I've lived through plenty of them." She started to shake a little, "But this time... I can't Die... I have Barick and Gab to take care of... If I die what happens to them?"
Gab stuck his head out of her shirt, "Aislin... You won't die... You're too good at this to die...."

Gab scrambled out of Aislin's shirt, nearly ripping it, "AISLIN IS!" He growled at Nikoli, "She's the greatest at everything!!!"
"Gabriel!" Aislin tried to stop him from doing anything horribly rude.

He looks back over the edge. "But you know I'm right. The conduction of war is, and must remain, an impersonal business. They are trying to kill you, and we are trying to kill them, and that is all that matters."

Aislin grabbed the small blue dragon's mouth and clamped a hand over it, "Yes, Nikoli," She continued to shake, "I know. I know I run a chance of being killed, but this time, I have a reason to fight to live. This rude little monster is only one of them."

Lily looked to Kir with an appreciative smile. Now she was only aware that someone was hurt, as opposed to feeling the pain herself. However, she was concerned for what was going on.
Chiasa let out a muffled cry when she heard Core. "Pl-please go away," she begged him around the cloth in her mouth.
