The blush that lit up her face at the wink only increased as he kissed her fingers. But, she let him have his way with her little hand. Her efforts with lotions and healing the cracks around her nails had rewarded her with smoother skin, so she wasn't so embarrassed about Richard being so close, either.
Damian sat up an shook his head to get the blood back to it. "Thank you... Did you eat anything yourself?" he thought as he flipped himself upon his stomach and scooched down to see her at the end of the bed.

Once Richard had his fill he looked up at her with soft eyes and a happy smile. "I cant tell what tastes so sweet...the frosting, or you." He grinned like a fool, not caring how cheesy that was.
"I thought I'd just steal a bite or two from you..." She smiled, forking a small piece of meat and lifting it up so he could have a bite. "...I've...Been thinking about it..." She added softly, trying to just dive in here. "And I think I've made a decision..." She looked down to take a sip of her wine, somewhat staling.

"Let's go with the frosting..." Lorey leaned forward to kiss him with just as much sweetness as the pastry had. "Love you almost as much as I love my coffee, Richard," she said, obviously joking, but trying to be serious as she looked into his brown eyes.
"And what have you decided?" Damian felt no angst or worry over her making a decision about her education. It was her life, and he would be behind her every step of the way.

"Hm, so you like your men sweet and creamy? Aw, too bad for me..." He pouted and sniffed comically, looking up at her with those big brown eyes.
She waited a moment, as if making sure she wasn't going to reconsider. "...I'm going. I've enrolled for the fall Semester... They're going to send me my information on where I'll be staying, and my class schedule in a few days..." She took another long sip of wine, trying to calm her nerves.

"I do like the occasional dark, bitter, sophisticated man." Lorey nuzzled her nose against his. He was no longer bitter, but his past was dark. Still, after all that, he still had a touch of lightness and sweetness to him. The coffee metaphor seemed to be working well.
Damian rolled off the bed as if something had shoved him right off. His feet hit the floor, and in moments he was scooping her up from her own seat to spin her around. It seemed that Damian Centurion had finally gone absolutely mad.
"Raquel, Raquel! You'll be brilliant! You'll walk the college campus and show them what you were meant to be, you gorgeous, intelligent woman--" The spinning came to an end, leaving him very dizzy, but still able to hold Raquel bridal-style in his arms.

Raquel held on tight, shouting in amused surprise as he span her around, though was mostly just confused. She didn't expect such actions from him, but she liked it. Once he had stopped she looked up at him with a smirk of a smile. "I will be fabulous huh?" She joked with a lovely smile that faded just a little. "...But why am I so sad then?" She asked, looking up at him, seriously wanting to know. "I mean, I feel its right but...why dont I feel like it deep down." She furrowed her brow, wrapping her arms slightly tighter around his neck as she played with his hair.
"Well then I'd say you have a variety of tastes M'lady..." He wrapped his arms about her. "Though I doubt this will work both ways since I prefer my coffee straight black. How could such a 'bitter' man fall for such a sweet, creamy cloud such as yourself?" He asked with a dramatic but loving tone as he dipped her slightly.

Damian set her feet down on the floor, and still held her tight while they tried to figure this out. "Well, it will mean that you'll be away. And that will be difficult to deal with, but... It will be for the best." Damian could bring her home for weekends, if she wanted. He could do anything she wanted, make every dollar stretch for miles, but she did have to say what she wanted in order to be happy.
She was still blushing terribly, and laughed a bit as he dipped her as if she were some entrancing dance partner. "We compliment each other. But I see all the sweetness I could ever want in you."

Raquel seemed to think for a moment before looking back up to him smiling widely. "I can do this." She said with determination. "I can get my education, and you can tie up any lose strings here in Veratia so we can finally move to Druis with no worries." Her eyes were shining brightly as she smiled up at him. "And even though we'll be away form each otehre here and there...it'll be ok. Because 'absence makes the heart grow fonder'." She quoted form a book she had been reading, quite proud of herself.
Richard stared back into those deep pools of blue and just smiled. "And I see all the love I could ever ask for in you..." He retorted softly, leaning down for a kiss.

"There's the spirit." Really, Damian hated the idea of being away from her. He loathed it. But it would be for the best, and he knew that, so he just had to let her go. He kissed her before giving her one last spin in his arms. This was the beginning of their future of no regrets. "Now, what will you need for your dorm? And supplies. Books, pens, notebooks. Only the best for you. Organizing software... do you have your own laptop? Does the school provide that? Even if they do, you should have privacy and ownership of your information... We'll see to this. We'll see to everything." Damian was back to his old rambling self, citing details and things that needed to be tended to. Business was part buying, and he was certainly planning on stimulating the economy.

Raquel had to alugh at him, kissing his nose sweetly. "You always make sure I have the best love." she hugged him quickly, before looking up at him again. "And I'll be utterly amazing here! You'll see! I'll make you so proud of me." She had that fiery determination in her eyes again. That same old flame she missed at times.

He crinkled it like she did sometimes and laughed. "I already am. That can only grow." But his food was getting cold, he saw, and it was time to truly talk about the details of her going away for college. Damian walked them over to his plate, and sat down on the bed with a prompt for her to follow. They could share a meal, and sort out their future. Because, after all, they didn't have to be married right away. They could be engaged for years, so long as they were happy and together.

Raquel followed him, taking a seat right next to him, taking his plate for him, having a bite. "I dont think I need too much love. Just books, art supplies, - oh...I do suppose I need furniture..just small things...A laptop too, you're right there and- " She sighed. "Maybe I do need a lot." She sighed again, rubbing the bridge of her nose. "I'm going to need your help. I'm not good at all these details." She gave him a small smile, brow still furrowed though.

"Well, we'll see your class schedule, see if they give you a supply list... We'll sort things out once we get those details, eh?" Damian brushed her cheek with his fingertips, and held up some food for her to eat with the other. "But for now, we have to make sure you're in top shape. No freshman fifteen for you, my dear, despite how much you do need some healthy weight." They both did. Damian was bordering on scrawny, while she was very thin.

Raquel took a bite from him and nodded. "I was thinking about working out more or soemthing...build up some muscles. But you need it too sir." She flicked his forehead jokingly. "Dont think I'm fattening up alone!" She took the for from him, making him take a bite now, still smiling.

"Oh, no, my dear. After you told me that I was too thin, your words echoed in my mind until I began eating out of the desire to please you," he said, with a dramatic sweep of his hand to the plate. He almost sounded mocking, even if the entire situation was true. "But promise me that when you do go off to campus, that you won't do any reckless partying. Please be careful." It was then that he took her face in his hands and had her look at him with her green eyes. this was a point that he'd been thinking on, even before Raquel had made it a real decision to go. "Please."
