One of the men stomped on the wound in Rue's chest. Rue cried out in pain.

"We were told to kill him. So either way he's going to die. Give him the command so we can profit from it. Maybe we'll even share the money with you," The hunter said.

"He's not the one that will die. You are," Adele said. Her voice was dark and harsh, and her eyes turned black. A purple magic circle appeared under her, and it was trying to free her.

"Adele..." Rue said with a raspy voice and coughed painfully. A pool of blood was starting to form around him.
The man lifted Adele by her collar, "Maybe we'll kill you then first," He said and pointed his blade under her neck.

Adele laughed. "He'll never transform though," she said. The magic circle tried to throw him away from her.

The man was thrown away from her. The other hunters pulled out their weapons.
"Kill her!" The man ordered.
They rushed to slaughter Adele.

Adele laughed coldly. She threw up a barrier around her and another around Rue as she attacked the men.

Rue went unconscious.
The men tried to fight back but couldn't harm Adele due to her barrier. It wouldn't be long before some were killed. The others turned tail and fled.

When they were alone, Adele merged her barrier with Rue's. She knelt by him, her eyes still black. She didn't know who he was when er eyes were black , but she knew he was hurt and tried to heal him.

After a few moments, Rue started coughing the blood out of his throat as he began to heal. He opened his eyes slowly and looked up at her, "...Adele..." He said weakly.

When Rue said her name, Adele seemed to go back to normal. Her eyes went to their normal shade. "Don't...don't die, little idiot," she said. "I was worried." She kept trying to heal him.
