Mike smiled and waved to the group. It was so nice to meet new people. One of them didn't seem too thrilled about being surrounded by teenage boys. "Can't say I blame ya." he said to the boy with spiky blond hair when he passed him.

"Come on, are you telling me you don't want something like that?" Flannery asked innocently enough, nudging him with her elbow. She thought she was so cute.

"Why? I've got my own Charizard, I don't need those." Mike said with a half-smile as he gave the boy's wings another look-over. I mean, they were cool, but like, leave it for Halloween or a costume party ya know? Then again, maybe he was with that Azumarill girl he met this morning, Blythe was it? Maybe he worked at the party.

"Well, hellooooooo Nurse!" the ostentatious boy called out, he assumed to some girl.

Okay, maybe not. He didn't recognize him, but judging how everyone was reacting to him he either wasn't very popular with these people or they didn't know him at all. "S'cuse me." Mike leaned to the side past the boy who he assumed was M.A.'s brother to get a better look. When he saw who the girl was on the receiving end of the comment he immediately knew why. It was Sasha, sporting a get-up straight out of an erotic magazine. At least he could understand the Charizard boy's remark now, even if it was annoying.

Mike smiled at Kilik'e Elekid. He was sure cute when he wasn't engulfed in fire. "Hey there little guy!" he said, kneeling down and gently rubbing the Pokemon's cheeks. He read somewhere that Electric Pokemon liked that. Let's hope he didn't misread.

-------

Sasha looked the older boy up and down. Not bad, not bad at all. He had that kind of loyal, nice boy look to him. Oh, he had a ring. She snapped her finger in defeat. Oh well, can't win them all, she thought. She didn't have much time to enjoy his subtle good looks, as she was practically knocked over by the winged boy, who proceeded to scream right in her ear. "Aagh!" she cried, fighting every urge to slap him across the face. Something told her that it would be an expected reaction to this boy. "Oh, uh...hi." the girl replied somewhat nervously, slowly inching closer to M.A.'s brother for security. She was no stranger to unwanted attention, but that didn't mean it got any easier, especially when life threw weirdos like this at you.

At the end of the day you're ano-

Sasha had never been more happy to hear her ringtone. She nearly tore the pocket off her shirt getting it out, looking to Maz with a fake pouty face, wordlessly conveying 'I'm sorry but I have to take this.' Oh thank god, it was Kirsa.

"Bojour mademoiselle!" Sasha answered like a secretary, twirling her hair as she spoke. "Comment allez-vous, cheri?"

Katie was only about a five minute walk away from the gates of Jubilife City when she stopped and looked back down the trail she'd just followed. She didn't know why but she felt like something was compelling her to go back. Genki had been walking along ahead of her and when he noticed that Kattie had stopped he stopped as well, tilting his head curiously as he watched his trainer. "Chimm-chaa?" he asked.

When the girl didn't respond Genki walked up to her, reaching up and tugging on the hem of her dress. Katie seemed to snap out of whatever it was that had caught her attention and she looked down at the Chimchar. "Oh, sorry Genki," she said, looking back down the trail. "It's just that for some reason I feel like we should go back. I don't know why, because it doesn't make sense to go to Eterna City first."

"Chim?" the chimp inquired, grinning up at his trainer. It didn't matter to him if she wanted to go back. All he knew was he'd follow her anywhere. He was glad she'd picked him over the other two Pokemon. As if to prove his point the little fire-type started to wander back the way they came, looking over his shoulder at her as though to reassure her.

"Well, all right," Katie nodded, following along after him. "We'll go back a little ways, but then we're going back to Jubilife, getting you checked out at the pokecenter, then we're going to be on our way again." Genki nodded in approval and scampered off ahead, leaving Katie to chase after him. "Hey, wait up!" she called, picking up her pace a little so as not to lose sight of the little monkey with the flaming butt.

Saebum was a little surprised by Crenu's comment, not expecting that direct perceptiveness. In fact, he didn't really know what to make of the blonde guy at all. Mysterious kid with thoughts and motives all his own.

As for Mazarin... Well, watching him was like watching a childhood cartoon. As outlandish as he might be though, he didn't seem too harmful, M.A. thought to herself. Poor guy probably got turned down by the ladies quite often; as out in space as M.A. typically was, she didn't miss the distaste in Sasha's face, nor the polite excuse to disentangle herself from the winged boy. However, as she watched the bubble-gum pink-haired girl answer the phone, playing with her hair just so, M.A. couldn't help but feel a sudden pang of wistful envy -- what a pretty, enchanting (for lack of a better word) girl she was! Her French sounded like a cascade of velvet to the ears, adding to what M.A. saw as sophistication and social grace. No wonder boys flocked to her. I don't have any of that, M.A. thought to herself with a teensy pout. Not that she was exactly looking for anyone, but it'd be nice to be wanted, of course. But all M.A. had was freckles, dark hair, lank limbs and collar bones.

Besides that, for all that her lips curved, she didn't possess any large amount of flamboyant charm, and so never could steal the spotlight like any of the others could. She was content enough where she was, however; with her "whatever goes, goes" mentality, even the largest crowds couldn't shake her. And so she easily introduced herself (the typical "Hello, I'm M.A. by the way, nice to meet you" stuff) to Flannery as she might any other person, since she honestly couldn't tell a Gym Leader from any other gal strutting down the street and had missed the meaning of Saebum's words. She also cast out a hello to Kasiya and Keegan, although it could have been lost in the surrounding conversation. Didn't bother her either way.

It was about then that a pair of arms wrapped around Saebum's waist. A familiar lavender head weaved its way around his side, grinning up at her fiance -- up indeed, since she was fully a foot shorter than him, especially visible when she was only wearing flip-flops. "There you are, sweetie," Rein demurred, leaning up to kiss his stubble gently. "Your mum told you I might find you with M.A.," she said, using a spare arm to greet her future sister-in-law. "Hurry up! The seminar's starting in less than half an hour, and seats are filling up like wild. Or, Sae, me and you could always do something else and play hooky," the little lady grinned wolfishly, beginning to tug a compliant Saebum away already. The tall fellow looked relatively overpowered. "Pleasure to meet you all! M.A., we'll go on ahead. Save you a seat!" Sae said before he disappeared into the swarm of beach-goers, although M.A. decided that she didn't want to sit next to the lovebirds while they were like this. Suddenly, however, the boy rushed back, giving his sister a cute little kiss on her forehead, then whispering in her ear this message: "Take your goddamn iron pills! Under all that sunburn, you're still as pale as a ghost." Then he was gone.

With that, M.A.'s security net was gone, and she looked a teensy bit more lost now in this crowd of people she suddenly realized she didn't know all that well. "Uh, should we get going too?" she asked, more of the type to go with the flow rather than lead the flow in a new direction. She worried a little when Mike got to Elekid's cheek, though. In some show she'd seen so long ago, didn't someone get shocked doing that? The memory would not have perturbed M.A. so if Elekid wasn't actually on her and all.

There was a brief silence after Sasha spoke, the confusion shown on Kirsa's face made Ivann tilt his head some in curiosity. She had no idea what her pink haired friend had said, but whatever it was she sure sounded happy to be on the phone. "...Um. You said you wanted to meet up before the seminar? I'm standing right in front of it, if you are ready to come meet me."

"Ah, bien!" Sasha replied, cupping her ear so she could hear the soft-spoken Kirsa better. "I'm not that far away. I'm just outside the Center talking to a few people." It was a bit of an understatement, as there was a good sized group forming here. Her head slightly bobbed back as she spoke, her finger still lovingly playing with a lock of her hair. Her eyes lit up when she saw Mike walk over, but that faded instantly when she saw the girl attached to him. Oh mon Dieu! she exclaimed when she noticed just who the girl was. It was Flannery, the Gym Leader of Lavaridge! He wasn't lying when he said he was dating her! She was shocked, to say the least. He had mentioned that the other day after their little 'adventure' at the Aqua base, but she just wrote it off as him being silly. It was so weird that she had just won her Heat Badge only a few days before, and now was seeing that very Gym Leader locking arms with the boy she liked. Part of her was happy for him, he looked so happy with her. However...

"I'll head right over!" she snapped her phone shut and ran over to Mike as he pet Kilik's Elekid, eager to say hello. "Bonjour!"

"Oh, hi Sasha." replied the boy, a bit surprised. In typical Sasha fashion she snuck up him and barely left any room to breathe. Not that was anything wrong with someone so pretty being inches away. "You have fun today?" he asked, giving Cable one last gentle pat on the head.

"Oui!" Sasha exclaimed with a bright smile. "I was very busy today. Très occupé!" She gave him a quick summery of her day: her and Kirsa's little training session, their delicious lunch and trip to the museum, and running off to grab her egg.

"Sweet." Mike said simply as she finished her story and asked for his. "I just had a few battles and relaxed on the beach a bit, nothing special." He shrugged. "Now I'm just hanging around here for a few minutes before walking over to the seminar thing."

"That is why I came over. I just wanted to say 'au revoir' before running off myself. Kirsa is waiting for me." She leaned forward and gave the boy a quick peck on the cheek. "Another thanks for yesterday. Au revoir!" Before anyone could say anything (especially the obnoxious boy with the wings), Sasha left to meet her friend.

Mike felt a tingle shoot up his spine as her soft lips touched his cheek. He felt where she kissed him, a slight trace of lip gloss remained. He wasn't expecting that. "Uh, yeah. See ya!" he said as he watched the pink haired girl hurry off. Mike looked back to Flannery with yet another shrug. "There is no understanding that girl."

As Sasha departed from the group, she looked back with a quiet sigh. Mike was so brave and heroic, rushing in to save her like a knight rescuing a maiden in days of old. But now she found that he did in fact have a girlfriend. "Figures." What was with all these boys being taken? Even Keegan had someone, though it hurt her head when she tried to think of a reason happy-go-lucky Kasiya saw anything aside from a scowl on the boy. Her pensive musings continued as she looked for her little cadet. Just thinking about her in that cute little uniform made her feel better. She giggled, Kirsa was just too much.

Sasha continued to walk, keeping an eye out for her friend. She was a short purple haired girl in a uniform, shouldn't be too hard right? She thought she saw her, but the girl was talking to a pretty hunky guy so it couldn't have be- she looked again. It was her! "Intéressant" she said to herself before approaching the two. "Salut mes amis!"

"Innka, dodge and send an Ember attack at it!" Ank'ah cried. She'd only gotten as far as the trail under the bike road before a wild electrike attacked, Ank'ah. She'd been knocked onto her butt, and Innka was forced into there very first battle. She hadn't expected it to go this way, but it was now or never. Houndour lept up into the air only to be thrown back by the Electike's quick attack. Houndour fell back rolling to Ank'ah's feet. Getting onto her knee's she picked up Houndour scared on what her poor poke'mon was going threw.

Innka however wasn't somuch aware of her own pain, she wriggled her way out of Ank'ah's arms, and barked loudly to the Electike. it returned with an angry bark. Innka looked back twords Ank'ah. She wanted her to make a command, but Ank'ah was to struck with fear, she coudn't. She watched in horror as the Electirke attacked again with another Quick Attack. The houdour rolled again in the dirt only to rise up again, and bark another angry insult to the Electrike. That made it even more angry. "Innka...maybe we should just run...." Ank'ah managed threw her chattering teeth. Innka growled deeply lowering it's head. Ank'ah wasn't going to get her way. "O-o-okay then..... use E-embe-r-r." She studdered. Innka reared her head, and a ball of flaring red came from the base of her jawline, then when she opened her mouth she sent the attack twords the Electike, it took the hit seeing as it wasn't paying attention, thinking it was going to win agenst Innka.

It returned with using another Quick attack. "P-p-u-rsui-t-t!" Ank'ah shouted, and Houndour quickly took to turning a dark shadowy colour. Being ingulfed by the darkness, the Electrike stoped, and looked around confused, Comeing from the shadows Innka attacked the poke'mon from underneith, it send it high into the air, and to confused it couldn't do anything. "E-ember...." Ank'ah commanded, and Innka did the same as before. She looked up at the still rising electrike she summoned a ball of fire in her muzzle, and just as the poke'mon came back down she let it out, it hit the Electike's belly dead on, and when the poke'mon landed it was out cold. Ank'ah didn't waste time for it to wake up, and ran over to her poke'mon picking Innka up, she turned and ran back twords Mauville city.

Her very first battle, was a victory... Wouldn't her grandmother be proud!

Kasiya giggled at the winged boy's actions, finding him to be quite amusing. Sasha didn't seem to share in that amusement however, and as she took out her phone and proceeded to look busy, Kasiya laughed again. She waved at M.A. to show that she'd heard her greeting and it was at that point that she noticed Crenu leaning against the wall of the Pokemon Center. She would have waved at him as well, but she recalled their previous meeting and figured it would be in vain. She still wanted to get his phone number though, as she wanted to know how well his Larvitar and Poliwhirl were doing in the future. As she looked up at Keegan, however, she definitely got the feeling that he was uncomfortable in this situation and she moved in a little closer and smiled up at him. "Let's go on ahead," she said, looking back over her group of friends. "They won't mind."

The poor naive girl was completely misreading Keegan's unease as simple discomfort from being around a lot of people, but at least her intentions were good. The possibility of her friends not liking the fact that she was with a boy like him never dawned upon her, as she rarely saw the cynical, mean side of him. Sure, she knew he could be crass, rude, and had a tendency to say what was on his mind, but she figured that was part of the package deal, right? He could also be warm and caring and friendly, and it was the traits like those that made her fall for him in the first place. But even still, Kasiya remained completely oblivious to her friends' thoughts on the matter. The two of them separated from the group and made their way to the museum and Kasiya stared wide-eyed at the vast amount of people already gathering. "Wow, we'd better get us a seat," she said, tugging gently on the redhead's hand and leading him through a throng of people. They were lucky to find themselves some good seats, fairly central and in the second row, at that. As they got nearer, however, Kasiya realized that these seats might have been a bit off-putting due to the excitable Aipom that was playing around on a chair. "It's Jaeshan and Robin!" Kasiya told Keegan happily as she sat down, glad to be sitting near familiar company.
=-=-=-=-=

Jaeshan looked over his shoulder as he heard a familiar, cheerful voice call his name and he waved as he saw Kasiya sit down in a seat behind him. He frowned inwardly as he saw Keegan as well, but he decided to keep up a good attitude towards the redhead. After all, he'd gone out of his way to get him that Torchic egg and Jaeshan felt somewhat indebted to the Lavaridge boy. "Hey guys, good to see you," he said, grinning at them both. "I'm sure you remember Robin and Luffy, and this is Combusken," he added, mostly to Kasiya. He wasn't sure if she had met the little fighter yet.

Combusken got up to her knees and looked over the back at her chair, blinking slowly at the two humans who'd sat down. She recognized the redhead from earlier... he'd been the one with that strong little fox Pokemon. "Buusk-enn!" she cried, waving a clawed hand at them.
=-=-=-=-=

Flannery just folded her arms and hung back a bit as Mike socialized with his friends, smiling to herself. She didn't mind being around so many people, even ones she didn't know so well. She caught sight of Mike talking to a somewhat familiar pink-haired girl and she scratched her chin thoughtfully. Even when the girl gave him a light kiss on the cheek it didn't bother her, as she knew girls had a tendency to crush like mad on him, and even little things like that didn't really get to her. She knew that when it was all said and done, he only had eyes for her, and this was more than enough of a confidence booster to get her through the day.

"Yeah we should get a move on if we want to get a seat at all," she nodded, looking over at the tall and lanky brunette again. Definitely pretty, but the girl could use a few curves, she thought, looking around at the group once more. Keegan and Kasiya had vanished though she could guess where they'd gone. "I'm going now," she announced loudly, though mostly in Mike's direction, and she turned on a heel and began to walk quick paced towards the museum (well as fast as one could go with so many people in the way).

Upon hearing her name be called Robin glanced over her shoulder to see the blonde girl from earlier. The one with the really strong pokemon, next to her was a grumpy looking redhead. She grinned as the two sat down next to them. While she didn't really know the two that well Robin was always glad to make new friends, she had made quite a few since she had started this journey. "Hello, glad that you remember me." She laughed somewhat nervously at that but quickly pushed that aside.

Luffy clambered around under the chair when he heard the other voice and the fact that there were now others around them to! He couldn't figure out why no one really wanted to sit next to them. Oh well. Looking at the other two who had come over he saw the shiny haired one from before and one that looked like his head was on fire! How cool would that be! He looked pretty upset to so his head must be on fire. Luffy wondered if it was hot, of course when Luffy wondered something he often did it. So before Robin could do anything Luffy had scrambled out from under the chair and had climbed up Keegan so that he was now on his shoulder. It turned out that the grumpy man's hair was not on fire. How disappointing...

Upon seeing her pokemon just decide to clamber up someone Robin couldn't help but feel a bit horrified. "Luffy!" She cried somewhat embarrassed as she tried to reach out and snatch the Aipom off of Keegan.

~~~~~~~~
Aidan had a feeling that he was about to get into a lot of trouble as he stared at the pokeball in his hand. Glancing over to Alice who congratulated him on his capture he just stared at her for a moment. Well, he guessed it would be a good idea to have such a positive outlook on all of this... Looking over at Jenny again he worried his bottom lip for a second before pressing the button on his pokeball and letting the Duskull out of the pokeball. In a flash the small ghost pokemon popped out of the ball looking, well for a ghost it looked rather pleased with itself.
The Duskull appeared out of the pokeball feeling pretty proud of itself. Ok so maybe he shouldn't have done that but he didn't want to go to another trainer! He wanted to stay with Aidan! So ignoring the looks he was getting he stayed by Aidan's side. At least the redhead with the cute little Eevee wasn't glaring at him and instead had a bright smile on her face. He waved a ghostly hand over at them.
Seeing how pleased the ghost pokemon looked with itself Aidan just closed his eyes and rubbed the scar over his nose and cheek. It was a comforting habit he had that he seemed to be using a lot today, he hoped it didn't stay that way, he had a feeling it would. Looking over at the pleased pokemon Aidan couldn't help but feel like he would never hear the end of this. "It doesn't look like it wants to leave." He muttered.
The phone was put away and Kirsa peered up at Ivann. "She'll be here in a minute." It had sounded like she had been with a large group of people, but she could have just been standing in a busy area or something. Not that the cadet cared if Sasha brought people with her. "Friend of yours?" The young sailor inquired, slipping his hands into the back pocket of his pants while they loitered around, waiting. "Mhm. I just met her today, actually, but..." She trailed off, glancing about for the pink haired girl. Maybe it was because Sasha was her first friend or something, but already Kirsa felt close to her.
While Ivann looked about in confusion when someone called out in what was obviously French, Kirsa didn't need to. She looked over and sure enough, there was Sasha coming toward them, looking rather...er...well dressed? She certainly was a model, then. ''Sasha, this is Ivann." Kirsa motioned to the young man standing next to her, figuring she might as well get introductions out of the way. "Ivann, this is my friend, Sasha."
Ivann gave a nod, smiling; the little cadet was friends with her? He approved! "A pleasure, I'm sure."
"Oh noooooo!" Blythe cried out in astonishment. The crowd was getting smaller, the sun getting lower.. it must be time for the seminar. "Crap crap crap crap we're gonna be late!" She grabbed onto Ruru's leg-things and dashed off, leaving a trail of dust in her wake. "Maybe we'll get to show you off, Ruru! To the people, you know~"
Blythe scampered about the town, probably knocking a few people over the way there, until she found the HUUUGE crowd of people. "I didn't know there were this many people here!" She slid through the crowds, as much as her child-sized body let her, and popped up only to look for an empty seat. She slithered her way to a seat in the third row, on the side. As she jumped in the seat, vicious like a pouncing rabbit (how rude!), the people in the seats next to her gave strange looks. On one side was a girl with long blond hair and holding a really cute purple-fox-thing, and she looked almost.. scared, really. The boy on the other side... was really normal looking and stuff. Blythe smiled and waved at both of them, then quickly turned around in her seat and scanned the area.
The little Mimi on Blythe's head quickly scampered into Blythe's arms, where Blythe absentmindedly pat her head. "It's fine, no one's gonna hurt you, just a lot of people.." she hummed as her eyes continued scanning the crowd like a hawk. Ruru just floated there, jingling.
~x~
Ryka jumped when the pink-haired girl jumped into the adjacent seat. Ryka gave her a strange look, as if to say "could you please say excuse me?" This girl seemed lively. Ryka smiled back at the girl, and became interested in who, or what, she was looking for. Ryka looked around too, noticing a few people she knew. She saw the flash of Kassie's blond head a row in front of her, along with the red-head, Keegan?, sitting next to her. She continued scanning the row, and also saw Jaeshan and Robin in the same row. Who else was here, she wondered?
Ryka looked down at Iris to change her thoughts. "Iris, where would you like to go after this? Should we go to the new region, do you think?" Ryka asked quietly, not wanting to attract attention. Iris mewed and rubbed her tail against Ryka's face. It was a comforting notions, one that Ryka adored. She was so happy to have Iris there with her, her best friend.
"I'd say," Jenny said, cocking her hip a bit. It could be clear to anyone short of blind that this ghost was clearly sticking with Aidan. And Jenny and co. had already learned of how difficult it would be to keep a ghost type somewhere it didn't want to be, like a Pokemon egg for example.
"I hate to say this, but... Maybe it'd be better for you and the Duskull to skip town for a little while. The mayor's son is returning to town from his study abroad tomorrow, and he'll definitely demand to see is his egg has finally hatched... And since the egg's been broken, he won't rest until he finds it. Given the how rare they are, it'd be hard for him to believe that any well-established town member might suddenly have one, especially one so young," the woman said, frowning a little. She really did like Aidan and all, but the brat kid could definitely put him in some trouble. With his daddy's blessing, he could easily land Aidan in jail for thievery.
"But it's not always safe to travel alone," she said, her motherly side kicking in again. Especially after Aidan's last run-in with the Wild Boys, she tended to fear for him. "Jun, I'm kicking you out. Go with Aidan."
"What?!" Jun said, suddenly dragged back into the conversation after all these posts. "Wh-What did I do?"
"Well, you did steal and crash my car. And you did take my police badge last week to arrest people with camel-toe on the streets. And you have been doing nothing but being a mooch this last year! Get started with your own life already!"
"T-that camel toe thing was definitely warranted! But I was planning to leave soon anyways," Jun huffed.
Jenny couldn't surpress a smile. I already know, you idiot. It's better this way, though, isn't it? Than saying good-bye? The house'll be real quiet when you're gone.
"Maybe you two could find somewhere to stay in the next town. I got an extra bike you can have, it'll seat two, even one more if you keep the loveseat," Jenny continued.
"What about all my stufffff?" Jun whined.
"Already packed. Only your essentials, though," she said, whistling to bring in a Growlithe carrying one of Jun's Prada messenger bags.
"Off, foul fiend!" Jun cried, yanking the bag from the canine's mouth. Tch, bite marks on the strap already! And, and... The bag must be too small to hold all his wordly possessions! In fact, upon opening it, Jun could cry. "You didn't put my favorite Versace coat in here," he said, disbelief on his face. Though he had to be surprised that she remembered all his beautician supplies, from his golden scissors to his blow dryer to his sketch book... Didn't even forget his favorite nail file.
"You are going to have to travel kinda light," she said off-handedly. "I just stuck stuff in that I thought you'd need on the way."
Jun strutted towards her, his expression unreadable behind his patent glasses. It looked like he would simply walk past her, without a word, when suddenly he leaned over and pecked his cousin on the cheek. "Well, it's been a nice year and all! Lovely hospitality, just learn to cook better. Hope you won't miss me too much," he said lightly, stopping short of the sliding glass doors. Then, to Aidan: "I'll wait for you outside! I mean, I can't possibly go out into this big, scary world without someone tough like you," he said, slipping on an disarming puppy face.
Jenny, meanwhile, sighed, looking at Aidan and Alice apologetically. Aidan definitely needed an apology; Jenny had just dumped that exasperating cousin of hers upon him. Heaven knows Jun needed a babysitter to keep him in check; although if Aidan ever found himself in a tight spot, she figured Jun might be more helpful than he let on. And Alice, well she probably wanted some peace and quiet in this safehaven, but instead she got a live-action soap.
Well, okay, now everyone was pretty much heading in that one direction, and M.A. was pretty sure that heading that way would lead her to that seminar thing eventually. She had an awful sense of direction, mind, but she figured she was a total dummy if she couldn't stumble upon it given all the help she had. Still... She wish she had just tagged along with Saebum and Rein after all, even if she would have to somehow ignore her brother's mushiness, which she found rather unnerving. It might've been better than feeling so alone, even surrounded by the thinning stream of beach-goers as she was. At least Elekid was there. She decided against letting out Ulani -- the only one of her Pokemon, she realized now, that wouldn't cause a ruckus if she walked with -- simply 'cause she doubted the bird would like the static coming off of Elekid.
Oh! But Crenu and Mazarin were still there. With a wave of her hand, she beckoned the blonde one to come along with her, figuring that Mazarin would do whatever he wanted to.
When they arrived shortly, she was somewhat surprised to see the place packed. Although she was certain that her family had reserved seats somewhere, she could not for the life of her figure out where they were. Ah well, she could always see them some other time. After all, they'd been in her life for sixteen years now. "Oh, there's some seats there," M.A. said, pointing them out; sure enough, there was a pocket near the middle, left alone for some unknown reason. Hopefully they weren't saved; and they weren't, it seemed.
Mazarin watched as they all walked off, his face dropping. "Now what one candy-coated second!" he stomped his foot, looking rather miffed. "I say 'Lets-a go' and everyone stands around with their mouths agape. Then mile-long-legs and Miss Pinky says head out and everyone follows like a flock of Pidgey!" He crossed his arms and looked over at Banette. Though, it wasn't as if any of them actually knew him: he really was only friends with Kilik. I need to get close to them, though! he thought, If one of them knows about 'Kyoka', anyway. Though what would a bunch of kids know? He tapped his chin and began making his way towards the museum. Banette followed, wearing the same expression as his trainer.
"Girls are dumb. I hate them," he said quietly. Though that philosophy soon changed as he watched a girl with loooong gold hair (not just blond, but gold) sashayed by in a tight one piece. "Girls are gorgeous. I love them." Mazarin looked over at Banette and gave chase. The girl was not headed in the direction of the seminar, either. Oh well; girls were more important.
Kilik glanced back out the window. Suddenly everyone was gone! "Oh, come oooon!" he groaned, slapping his forehead. The boy paced back and forth in the lobby, as if that would make the healing go any faster, and drummed his fingers on his arm. It felt like an eternity! He'd have to find some way to entertain himself. He glanced down the hallway - nothing. The door to his parent's rented room was shut tight with a sign on the knob that he assumed said 'Do Not Disturb'. Were they still sleeping? Or maybe they were just out and didn't want a maid to come in and clean?
Cable glanced occasionally back at the Pokemon Center, wondering why Kilik wasn't there. Did he really give him away to M.A? No, that wouldn't be right! Master wouldn't do something like that. Elekid rubbed his cheek to get the feel of Mike off and somewhat wiped it off on the girl's shoulder. His eyes went up to the stage, watching a few people scuttle back and forth as they tried to get things ready, for whatever reason they were there. He kept hearing the word 'seminar', whatever that was.
He heard three dings. "Finally!" Kilik cheered, rushing the counter and taking his Pokeballs. "Thank you, bye now!" he stuffed them into his pockets and went out the door. "Museum, museum..." he looked around for any sign of where his friends may have gone. "That way!" he started walking to the right of the Center, going slightly north. Sure enough, there was the crowd of people. He could point out M.A. due to the yellow plug on her head, and her more-than-average height. Then she sat down. Kilik slid a hand through his hair, somewhat feeling a little jittery. Is this what Maz feels like whenever he sees a girl? he thought, Nah. That's more like lust than actual attraction. What was he thinking?! He hit his forehead a few times as he walked towards the row she was in.
Don't think that, Kilik. You're not a ladies man. You're a trainer first! He stood somewhat close to her chair, pointing to an empty one beside her. Elekid looked very happy to see him and jumped from M.A. to Kilik again. He sure liked M.A., but latching onto his Master was always nice. "Hey, Mary. Is this seat uh..." he scratched his cheek, then pointed to it again, "single?" ACK! No! "Taken!?" he said quickly, his voice rising in inflection, "Yes. Are you taken?" Kilik was really kicking himself now. "The seat. Is this seat sing...take..." he sighed and closed his eyes.
"Can I sit there?"
Mike half-smiled at Elekid's fidgeting. It was cute, but something about the Pokemon really bugged him. Napalm wasn't this whiny. I don't get how he keeps tying with this wimp he caught himself thinking. It was a bit harsher than he was planning on wording it but all in all he meant it. Napalm was much more focused, precise, and armed with a better assortment of moves. Why was it that this little baby could match him tip-for-tap? It was something he thought about a lot when he trained. One of these days I'll show Kilik that my Napalm is better than his infantile Cable. All frustration aside, he did like the plug, and wondered what kind of Pokemon he would evolve into. He'd have to look that up later.
"I'm going now!" announced Flannery, wasting no time.
"Wait!" Mike called out, running off to follow her. "G'bye guys!" he yelled back. Flannery's long, delicious, succulent legs had always made catching up with her a pain, even if she was just walking. Moments later, a somewhat out of breath Mike caught up, weakly linking his arm with hers. "Lead-" he stopped to catch his breath. "-the way."
"Ze pleasure is all mine." replied Sasha, turning up the accent a bit, laying her usual charm on the young man. She had to admit, this Ivann was pretty hot. Sasha mostly liked cute guys, but the occasional muscle-head always managed to grab her attention. It was those abs, those beautiful...chiseled abs...no! No fantasies in front of Kirsa's guy! The girl shook her head, snapping her back down to Earth. She cutely cleared her throat, trying to draw attention away from her momentary daydream. "So cheri, where are we sitting?" the seats were filling up, and she didn't know if Kirsa had grabbed them seats yet or not.
Keegan only nodded as he was lead by the hand away from the group, feeling a little better the more distance he put between them and him. Again, it wasn't like him to care what other people thought, but when it involved Kasiya, it seemed to be a whole different story. Perhaps on some subconscious level it did bother him that her friends didn't approve of him, but for now those thoughts would remain buried. After all, there had to be reasons why Kasiya chose to be with him, and he was content just knowing that.
As they found their seats, Keegan nodded politely to Robin, and then Jaeshan. The outcome of their earlier battle had come racing to memory and he laughed a bit sheepishly, remembering how he'd stalked off in anger. Now that he thought about it, it hadn't been a very mature thing to do. "Eh, sorry about earlier," he said to Jaeshan, shrugging. "The last few days haven't been very good to me when it comes to battling."
He didn't get a chance to say anything else though as suddenly Robin's Aipom had jumped from its chair to his shoulder, and was busy prodding and poking his hair like it was the coolest thing he'd ever seen. Keegan laughed again and patted the Aipom's head. "Don't worry about it, uh, Robin," he said, shrugging. "This kind of thing happens to me a lot, actually." It was true, though. He wasn't liked by many people, though the difference could easily be made up by Pokemon.
=====
The tidal wave crashed down onto the Gastly with a deafening roar, and though he obviously wasn't pleased with the move, Morty remained calm, keeping his arms folded across his chest, no expression whatsoever on his face. "Hm," was all he said, watching the water recede, and his Gastly float up weakly, the attack having taken an enormous toll on the ghost. It wavered in the air and Morty knew it was just about spent, so he inclined his head, closed his eyes and smiled faintly. "That was quite the attack," he said coolly, raising an arm and snapping his fingers once. "Gastly, be sure to leave them a little parting gift."
The ghost, though severely weakened, put on a devious smile and its long, slimy tongue protruded from its fanged mouth. A long, silver straight pin materialized above the Gastly's gaseous form and without warning it shot straight up before plummeting down into the ghost's head, right between the eyes. At the Gastly's direction the pin seemed to force itself in deeper and deeper, until it had nearly vanished completely. The ghost's body gave off a crimson aura, which spilled onto the battlefield and engulfed the Staryu completely. With this being done, Gastly fell to the ground, having fainted.
"Gastly can no longer battle, victory goes to the challenger," announced the referee. On the scoreboard above the battlefield, the photo of Gastly below Morty's became grayed out.
Miharu, though aware of her first win, found herself incredibly creeped out by whatever move the Gastly had just pulled off, and she watched as the blood-red aura washed over Starrie. "What was that?" she asked, watching as the aura flared up brightly, a faint image of the straight pin appearing over the Starshape Pokemon's body. Whatever it was, it had knocked out Gastly, but at the same time it had afflicted Starrie with some kind of status. Miharu was a little worried, but Starrie was still standing while Morty was down one Pokemon.
