Monk is good... he kinda reminds me of me in a way. Alas, I wouldn't mind if the writers made a few difficult cases.... I'm sick of solving them 15 minutes in. razz
That or had a few more important episodes... I felt like season 4 didn't even have a finale cause nothing special happened... just a regular olde episode. *sniffle*

I don't get to watch anything while I'm at school...just what my family has left on their Replay TV during break. But my favorite episode, so far, has been the one, I think it's called "Monk and the Actor." But an actor comes to play Monk in a movie (in the plot, not for real, obviously) but the actor has a habit of getting a little too into the characters he plays (I'm thinking it's gotta be some weir identity disorder, because he gets really into his characters). But yea, that's gotta be my favorite for two reasons: one, it's the best damn acting I've ever seen in a comedic TV series. Two, I love the scene with the messed-up sticker towards the end... xd

Anyways, I had an actual reason for going to this thread. I was wondering if any had heard the Tragic Treasury: Songs from A Series of Unfortunate Events CD yet. My mom sent it to me and I just listened to it and I was wondering what everyone else's opinions were...I mean, I'm pretty sure J.K., herself, recommended the Series of Unfortunate Events books at one time or another (so I'm gonna take a wild stab in the dark and assume at least some of us read them, besides me, that is)...but I haven't even gotten to start the last book yet...*sigh*

Wow, I wasn't even aware of the CD. I shall have to ask my sister, as she's the only one who has read the series before lol.
Is it the actual songs from the books set with melodies or is it songs from the movie?

Actual songs about the books, Daniel Handler (the Author's real name) has been part of a band for ages. It was called Magnetic Feilds, and my older sister, who doesn't read the series, was in love with his lyric writing abilities. Well, I'm not sure if the band has broken up or if they've changed their name, or picked an alias name for the album alone. But the band for the Unfortunate Events album is called Gothic Archies. I'm 99.9% that it's the same vocalist and what-not from Metalic Feilds and I'm definately sure it's the same music style. 3nodding Some of the songs I really like (like the first one on the CD that's about Count Olaf) but then some of them are just a little too Metalic Feilds-ish for me... sweatdrop
Oh, and I read the whole book last night...and The Beatrice Letters 3nodding Not what I was expecting...but good all the same. biggrin

So have most people...that's how it always seems to happen...whenever I can't seem to get anything done and just want to chat a bit, everyone is suddenly missing...then when I need to start working, they all come back and chat up a storm... domokun

I can't wait until Season 6, it starts in January. whee Have you seen the trailer yet? Fox released it recently on the 24 site, www.fox.com/24 I believe. According to a previous poll, some of the new faces for next season include James Cromwell, Peter McNicol, and Regina King. Cromwell's character will be called Philip....Bauer. eek I wonder how he will fit into the picture. Regina King will play a character with the last name Palmer (I don't want to spoil it for you, but I'll mention that Wayne seems to be quite involved in Season 6). It'll be a special treat seeing Peter McNicol in 24, as he is in another one of my favourite shows, Numb3rs. razz
I don't really need to buy the DVDs, because I've watched Seasons 1-5 at least twice, for the most part. smile

All the forums are going so slow. I blame myself. I have no time to send out the welcome letters as I wanted. I'll post something in the SFQ
I love Numbers!

Woot! Another Numb3rs fan! razz I love how the show can actually make math interesting and useful in real life (the cases are based on real cases) and the family aspect is somewhat endearing. The only thing I don't like is Amita though, as fellow fans I chat with on Gaia don't as well. ><

I think Amita is perfect for Charlie! I wish they would hurry and get together for real!
Gaia is becoming abnormally boring for me
