Ikkoku, having no worries to keep his mind occupied, had fallen asleep in the hot springs. As soon as he awakened, he immediately felt the repercussions of his foolishness, losing his balance every couple of seconds as he attempted to leave the bath. Stumbling down the hallway with his towel just barely hanging around his waist, he desperately searched for his room, attempting to open door after door with his room key. With the combination of his bad eyes and the steam’s effect on him, he was beginning to lose hope when he suddenly came upon an unlocked door. Smiling in anticipation of a nice, comfortable bed, he quickly opened the door, squinting in order to make out whatever it was he had just opened. His towel dropping, he quickly attempted to pick it back up only to slip on it and fall into….warm water? After hearing many a female scream, Ikkoku suddenly realized that this was as far from his room as he could get.

Running for his life to avoid the vengeful fists of the many bathing women, the Hidden Cloud shinobi attempted to explain the circumstances of his intrusion, only for his words to fall upon deaf ears. He now regretted not learning to run on water before leaving the ruins of his village. Pretty soon the commotion of what was happening had spread throughout the entirety of the hot springs, enraging and severely confusing many of the other guests. Eventually, he was caught by the staff and was nearly thrown out before the manager could get a chance to talk to him. After telling him HIS side of the story and presenting the evidence that was his sight-improving medication, it was decided that Ikkoku would be allowed to stay the night but would have to leave first thing in the morning. Well, at least he wouldn’t have to sleep in the trees with an empty stomach (though the food would most likely be crappy because of the angered staff). Still, he knew now that his chances of getting any phone numbers from any cute girls in this village had dropped significantly, much less that of the girl he had followed there.

Every muscle in her body stiffened when the scent of blood mingled with the air. If the young man in front of her had been wounded prior to her arrival she would have known. This only meant one thing. The wound just happened and it was self inflicted. What sort of nut job was thing guy? Akane came close to saying forget it and turning around to leave but her resolve wouldn’t allow it. She stood tall, feet planted to that spot. That and her curiosities were getting the best of her. If someone was willing to inflict a wound on themselves so readily, they had to hold not only skill but some form of worth.

Her knees felt as if they would buckle when she heard his voice. She couldn’t think of a time when she would even get remotely enticed by a voice. Then again, she avoided people at all cost back where she was from and she for the most part avoided people when she traveled too. She just wasn’t much of a team player and one couldn’t blame her. Her lack of social skills and trust issues simply would allow her to trust others to the extent she needed to for a team to efficiently work. For a moment or two, she tested his name in a tone that was well below a whisper before she even bothered to answer.

“My name is Tsukino Akane.”

She had to admit that what the young man before her could provide wouldn’t be entirely what she sought out to learn but it was better than nothing and it would surely prepare her. Slender hands moved to rest on her hips as she shifted her weight and a sigh left her lips.

“I’m willing to take what I can get.”

Ikkoku sat on the bed in his room as he ate his dinner which, to his surprise, had NOT been tarnished in any way by the bath house staff he had annoyed. Despite embarrassing himself in front of all the guests of the bath house, he had to admit that his stay in the Hidden Mist Village wasn’t all that bad so far. He wasn’t sure where he was going to stay for the nights to come, but he was sure he could figure something out. After all, he was a ninja. He had graduated from the academy because he had shown his ability to survive, and that was what he planned to do. It was time for Ikkoku to plan ahead. He didn’t know much about the Hidden Mist, but he imagined that it must have some sort of tourist stops for people passing through to gander at. If they had a hot spring bath house with rooms to stay in, it was pretty clear the village wanted outsiders to visit. Finishing his meal, Ikkoku began readying himself for a good night’s sleep. Hopefully he’d get a chance to sleep in a little before he was kicked out of this fine establishment. If not, he could always use some lightning jutsu to leave some more fond memories of him before he took off. Just thinking of it made him chuckle.

Although he’d had a good night's sleep, Ikkoku felt that he had been rudely awakened by the hot spring staff to pack his things and leave. He checked the clock by his bed. Damn. They weren't kidding when they said "first thing in the morning". It was 8 am! He knew this wouldn't be a big deal for anybody else, but it was too early for him. This wasn't a school day, dammit! Well, at least they hadn't woken him up at the break of dawn like he had feared. As he began packing what little he had into his small bag, he suddenly realized that he didn't know what he was going to do about breakfast. It was clear that these people wanted him gone. Well, there had to be some sort of restaurant in town. After exiting the main gates of the bath house, Ikkoku suddenly realized that he hadn't seen that girl he had followed here in the first place. Oh well. It was probably better that she not see him after yesterday's embarrassment. With that incident behind him, he began to aimlessly wander the Hidden Mist Village in hope of excitement, entertainment, and maybe something to eat.

User Image The light wind caught his face as Rakurai turned towards Akane. Its force was enough to toss his hair a bit, though it also brought her scent. Curiousity peaked as he watched her word his name under her breath. His curiousity faltered though as villagers began to wink at him as they passed behind the girl. With both of his cheeks flushed nearly to the color of his sash, Rakurai spoke in a slightly hardened tone, "Tsukino Akane. What would you like to be called for short? I don't intend to speak your entire name every time I wish to address you."

Again, the youth turned. Two of his fingers shot up in a forward motion at an attempt to get the girl to come with. If he was going to follow through with assisting this fairly cute nin, then he definately wouldn't be able to do so within the bartering side of the village. Training was mostly preformed within the dense forest around the village.

Whether the girl spoke or not on the fairly uneventful trip into the foliage Rakurai knew not. He'd taken it to mind not to speak to her until out of earshot of the village. The general gossip would spread like wildfire since Rakurai had never been seen alone with a female. The flushing feeling returned to his cheeks, though it was dark enough within the wooded area that it wouldn't be seen.

Abruptly Rakurai halted within a clearing that seemed rather worn down from previous training. His voice returned to normal as the youth spoke, "This is where I did most of my training prior to the Academy. My gramps prepared me to nearly a chuunin level before I even went into the Academy, so do not take me lightly." Pausing, his eyes would wander over her exterior as he'd done before, though this time hopefully the darkness would advert any reaction from her.

"I will spar you. That is how you will learn. You'll have to be keen with your eyes and watch what I am doing. There is nothing that I will do in which you won't be able to avoid as a graduate from the Academy." said Rakurai as he knelt down in a offensive stance. "Oh and I'll try not to harm that pretty face of yours."

Reaver Senimaru slowly weaves his way through the trees as he heads towards the village he had come to play around in. He had heard that there were new shinobi showing up in this place every day, and he was curious whether he could find a nice new play thing to put a couple experiments on in the mean time. Wandering slowly through the trees, a single hand with it's odd claw like weapons sliding across the bark and leaving partially vile looking scratches that seemed to melt into the trees a little as if they were some sort of odd acid. Reaver's light purple gaze slowly fell upon a male who appeared to be taking an offensive stance as if he was planning to battle the female that was before him. This was a simple thing for him to notice, it was clearly some sort of sparing ideal, which caused a short chuckle to escape Reaver's lips. "Well.. Looks like the prey is already in the area, and a nice deal away from the village too. That will make things easier to have some fun.." He says, as he continues to stroll forwards, the long flowing black cloak that he wore swaying with each step that he took, as he moved almost silently up behind and slightly to the left of the male who bore the red accents in his clothing. By side stepping suddenly to the side, he passed behind a tree and just as simply he would have vanished from all traces of his presence. Merely seconds later, the tall almost sickly looking male seemed to just rise up behind the female of the group, a single hand raising and then flicking with a single finger. The Single Finger Flick technique, would send the female shooting forwards past the male at a rapid pace, if it connected of course. The matter of whether or not it connected was not that large of a deal to him, instead he moved forwards at a rapid pace, his other hand moving from his side, bending at an angle and then shooting forwards in the form of a simple uppercut in the attempt to knock the male flying into the air in order to line up for a follow up strike.

User ImageAs he'd spoken those last words to Akane, Rakurai's sensed something amiss within the wooded area around him. Something troubled him, yet to place a finger on it would be deniable. It was as if a bad storm were coming and the air was heavier from the humidity, yet the sky that shown through the trees above was blue with light clouds spread abroad.

Focusing on a whim that something was near, Rakurai glanced off to his right as the unannounced stranger appeared to his left. The feeling was stronger all of a sudden, but the area didn't seem to be obstructed by visitors. Shifting his balance, he'd glance to his left just as the stranger disappeared through the tree. Had he just seen a slight flicker of clothing around the tree? Curiousity brought the youth to a halt staring at the spot, though startled at a rustle to his right where Akane was standing. There had been no chance to counterattack given the speed of his opponent, which left Rakurai airborne with a swelling jaw.

"What in the hell was that?" said Rakurai within his mind as his jaw wouldn't move from the forced pressure which had nearly made him bite off his tongue. The Genin didn't pause to think however as he twisted midair to gain a view of his opponent whom was readying himself for another attack. With a quick thrust of his palm a concentrated lightning blast shot down towards his opponent as Rakurai used his newfound power to flicker out of existence via Orochi.

That was simple enough, the first strike against the male had been more then just successful. Of course the opponent moving to attack and then turning invisible wasn't exactly something he had expected, more so for the opponent turning invisible. But even with the fact they had vanished, Reaver still had some decent ideas to continue the fight and keep it rolling, of course the electricity was an issue. Dipping to the side, in order to move around the lightning that was sent in his direction, reach casually cocks his head upwards as a single hand seal is struck with his left hand. Upon opening his mouth, an odd gas like substance shoots forwards towards the air where his opponent was. This gas like substance would equally begin to fill a small area around where Reaver was as well, this odd gas was known as the Sticky Gas technique. It would be used to flood the area with a gas that would connect onto the opponent with a tar like substance and with luck, make them viewable through the use of the tar in the air. Reaver chuckles as he casually opens a fold of the long black cloak he wore, causing a series of mosquito like beings to emerge, these beings were made purely out of chakra, and would hunt down foreign forms of chakra in order to not only draw chakra from the host, but blood as well just like a normal mosquito would. The most dangerous part about these mosquitoes was that with each of their bites, they would lay a specific disease onto the opponent in order to hinder them further. The particular disease that Reaver had in mind was that of the Pertussis disease, which would cause; Coughing, Mild fever, Running nose, Sore throat, Nosebleeds, and Vomiting blood to occur in the victim. Reaver grins, as the mosquitoes spiral around him, most of them heading off towards the nearest opposing chakra signitures that were both his opponent, and the female that was in the area.

Quote:
Chakra Mosquitoes
A breed of Mosquito, that is actually bred, and feed off of chakra itself. These mosquitoes are actually formed from Reaver's chakra itsled in order to be created. After a battle starts, it takes five turns in order for the mosquitoes to be hatched from their chakra based eggs, within Reaver's own body. Once hatched, they swarm out and go after the closest chakra sources that are in the area, and are not that of Reaver's. Once hatched, the swarm is about as large in number as that of 300 tiny normal sized mosquitoes. Out of the 300 normal sized ones, there is 1 female mosquito for every 15 male mosquitoes. As such, the amount of mosquitoes may double, for each mosquito that drinks the chakra of an opponent. These mosquitoes work much like normal mosquitoes, but they devour chakra instead of blood. As such, every time a mosquito manages to draw chakra, and get away. They may soon mate with the one of the females and then after five turns, another 300 will be hatched. This will last, as long as the mosquitoes can drain minimal amount of chakra from the opponent. The second part of this, allows for the mosquitoes to give diseases to the opponent, when they bite them. Although, they are limited by the diseases in Reaver's arsenal only. Then can also be used as a way to gather opponent's blood, but not often.

15,000 - Reproduction
20,000 - Blood Gatherers
30,000 - Disease Carriers

Disease Strains: Second Supply
This technique, is the second form of his Disease Strains. It is yet another combination of different diseases that can be used against his opponents in any variation of ways. They also go up by 10k each, with different lengths of time. Keep in mind that these are actually a stronger form of the first, so that they last for longer lengths. It also causes the previous set to continue onwards past the battle.

110,000 - Myotonic Dystrophy (weakness and muscle wasting to face, lower legs, forearms, hands, neck, with delayed relaxation of muscles after contraction)

User ImageIrritable, Rakurai watched as the unwelcomed guest had dipped to the side and avoided his signature lightning blast. The opponent had to be very strong in order to move out of the way of lightning concidering its speed. However, instead of sitting idle while his opponent dipped to the side, Rakurai had rifled off the hand seals for the Hidden Mist skill. Both his index finger and his middle finger spread a portal infront of him which would confuse the mosquitos by accident since Rakurai didn't know what they were as of yet. Both of his feet caught the side of a tree as the Mist spread rather thick. Rakurai's hands spread the Mist as his body shot through the portal and reappeared elsewhere within the general area of Reaver. The Mist was really dark within the already dark wooded area which would make it almost impossible to see his opponent. For now it would be an avoidance of his techniques and watch for a chance to strike out should the Mist not help.

Reaver's head cocks slightly to the side as he casually listens for the faint sounds of his diseases having taken effect, of course for the few moments that he stood there awaiting this to happen, he sadly didn't seem to find an accurate time to which that he could hear even a faint cough or anything else that would signal an effective connection with his mosquitoes. Slowly rolling his shoulders in a shrug, Reaver raises a single hand before his body, an odd black and green orb of disease forming in his palm as he then chuckles and squeezes his hand into a fist, the orb shifting and expanding in order to mix in with the fog like mist of the area, creating a second layer of smog to which would be a full layer of disease. This disease layer would be enough to cover most of the forest they were in, and risk a multitude of diseases into effecting the opponent if they were to breathe it in. That made things a little more interesting, to be certain. Meanwhile Reaver casually lowers his hands in order to create a second series of hand seals within the dual layering of vision impairing techniques that had taken root in the area, his lips curving into a grin as he speaks. "Well now, it seems like all you're going to do is hide from me? Pathetic." Reaver says simply, while never seeming to move from his current position, all he would do was stand and wait for his opponent to make their appearance.

User ImageBlinking, Rakurai watched his mist intermingle with his opponents technique. Whatever the technique may be, it wasn't something that Rakurai was ready to welcome around himself. Quickly his hands fumbled with a scroll that was hidden within one of his pouches. As Reaver would create his series of hand seals a deafening roar could be heard from above. Fai Ryu had been summoned to the field. The beast wasted no time in blowing forth the black fire from his mouth which would kill the diseases in the area...... along with everything else that stood in its path.

Rakurai himself had preformed the teleportation technique once more, though this time upon reaching his destination nearly thirty foot to Reaver's right, his Orochi began to fail. It was still not fully controllable since the Orochi Master had given it to him. It had kept him safe thus far, but it was only a matter of time before the nin infront of him would better the Genin. Fai Ryu was sweeping the area clean with his wings, blowing the mist and smog that was left over out to sea.

"You... I have no strength left to fight you. Why do you attack us when we are unarmed?" said Rakurai as he wondered silently where his companion had either fled to or if she'd been killed via the various techniques the two had been spraying at eachother.

In truth, Rakurai had enough strength to continue onward, but the nin before him was faster and no longer did he know of a way to conceal himself without getting seen. Academy techniques were of only so much use against a Jounin.

The flames of Fai Ryu would cascade downwards, destroying everything in it's path, including Reaver himself. The Reaver's very body melting down to nothing where he had been standing only moments before. Although as soon as the body was completely toasted upon the ground, the true Reaver was appearing in front of Rakurai with the use of the Underground Fish Projection technique. Now that he was above the ground, and the clone he was using as a cover to draw attacks, and then using the body flicker technique and sending Reaver rapidly forwards towards his opponent. Twisting his wrists slightly, what appeared to be two eyeballs could be vaguely noticed in his fingers, as he then plunged both hands forwards and slammed his palms directly over Rakurai's eye sockets. The overall force of this attack would send the boy sprawling backwards with a nice impact force, while simultaneously using this specialty jutsu to actually seem to cause their eyesight to instantly become gone. Causing them to be blind, exactly what was done at this time wasn't all too certain, but by the time that Rakurai could recover from this attack, Reaver would have been long gone.

Ikkoku had been wandering around the Hidden Mist Village for several minutes when he suddenly sensed something odd coming from the forest. It felt like varying chakras being fluxed in both familiar and unfamiliar ways. Not having anything else to do, he decided to investigate. Using the technique he had learned to graduate from the Shinobi Academy in the Hidden Cloud Village, Ikkoku ran up a tree in order to get a better view of the surrounding area. This would also give him some leverage over whatever was molding its chakra so strangely. Making sure to keep as silent as possible, he leapt from tree to tree, following the source of the strange chakra. It seemed like there was a fight going on somewhere out here. They meant business, too, from what he could tell. Soon enough, he heard yelling and saw smoke several yards ahead of him. Landing on a branch next to the action, his eyes confirmed that there was, indeed, a fight going on. However, apart from the two who were actually fighting, there also seemed to be a third party present. Squinting to get a clearer picture, his eyes suddenly widened with surprise upon discovering that the third person was the girl he had followed to this country. What the hell was she doing here? On top of these puzzling questions, there was something else that was bothering him. These damn bugs! What were they? They didn’t seem to be regular mosquitoes, and they wouldn’t stop buzzing around him. One would think the flames would have scared off any insects in the area. Nothing was making sense right now.

"Well now.. What do we have here? Another little experiment that I can play with?" Reaver says, since he had left the area rather quickly, he was easily capable of making himself appear out behind the tree that this new male, Ikkoku was standing in. The mosquitoes that were buzzing around the male, moved back to grant Reaver the required blood and chakra that he could use if it was necessary for him. His right hand shot forwards with the use of the Snake Fist Style, the claw like weapons on his fingers would be used to install an almost limitless amount of poisons into the bloodstream of the shinobi in question, should they strike and pierce the skin even a fraction of an inch. Reaver's face twists slightly as the mosquitoes that were around him and this male quickly multiplied with each connection between them and the opponent, allowing their abilities to install diseases to be used for this effect too. If even one bit the male now, the disease known as Malaria would be introduced into the young shinobi's system. This disease was known to give the effects of: Fever, Shivering, Vomiting, and Convulsions. As such, foolish Ikkoku wouldn't stand a chance much longer unless he were to find some way to treat for the diseases, or manage to move through the fast acting effects of such a disease when it hits him.
