Well if he's going to use it for evil, he would have to completely overhaul it.
They have special locking mechanisms that require a certain type of key to open and only respond to the leashes made specifically for each collar, or the master leash.
...you could always turn it into a dream catcher I guess...

Well...here's a little looksee at things.
Piper ain't going to be letting all that slaving be going on much longer. At least not to the extreme extent it is.
Hey...inadvertantly, that can help the population of Deep Water.

Actaully I think Piper is the employment office. Let us imagine:
Malik walks out of his room and practically stops on a dime, seeing someone he knows is a slave walk by, sans collar. Now looking around he notices several others about him in the same conditon. Some yelling ensues and he goes to see what's up.
What does he find? Piper with that unlockign device, taking collars off of people. He goes about questioning what she's doing, he innocently looks at him, blinks and then calmly explains to him that if he intends to settle down as he mentions and have a family and stuff, she's not going to let the slave thing be dominate in the place. No slaves, jsut servants and paid in some form or another.
Malik walks off grumbling...after all, he can't fight with her.
