Faust's body began to heal. The pain increased in Netsubo's body till she felt like it might knock her unconcious. The strange healing was a result of Netsubo's body growing weaker.

"Mom?" Yuki asked uncertainly. "Mom, I don't like this... this isn't right, you can't be doing well..."

"I'll...be fine,"She said through gritted teeth. She could feel Faust's body healing.

Faust jerked suddenly, curling and coughing into the dust.
"Wow... thank Satan," Mephisto said. "I thought you were a goner."
Faust looked confused and afraid momentarily, but after seeing Netsubo next to him his eyes grew sharp and shrewd. "What have you done?" he whispered.

Netsubo didn't meet his eyes. She couldn't. The pain was overwhelming her.
(if she IS gonna be brought back, I have no clue on how that will be done ^^;; ))

Faust closed his eyes, hiding them with his hands. "What kind of life have you brought me back to?" he cried, his voice controlled but filled with agony.

Netsubo's body fell forward. Her eyes were closed and she wasn't breathing.

Faust stared at the fallen Netsubo. He shook his head, dropping to his knees.
Yuki shoved him. "What are you waiting for? Bring her back! You're a doctor, you know about this kind of thing..."
Faust leaned against the wall, sliding to the floor. He'd seen enough bodies in his lifetime to know which ones could be saved, and which ones were beyond help.
"What the hell are you waiting for?!" Yuki screamed.

Netsubo's spirit floated above her body. She gave a startled look around,"Am I.....?"

Mephisto stared at Netsubo's ghost. Slowly, he nodded. "Yep, you're dead."
Yuki stumbled forward, dropping to his knees beside her body. "s**t! s**t... I'll heal you Mom, it's OK!"
Faust's head was bowed; he shook it back and forth slowly, as if overcome by the very futility of the whole mess.
((um... if you can find a place to jump in, there's room. You're welcome to try. ^^ ))

"No, that's Faust's various drug addictions," Mephisto said. "You'll be hearing that phrase a lot, since he'll be raising you from now on."
"No!" Yuki shouted, with so much force that the catatonic Faust flinched slightly. "I'm bringing back my mom!"

"Not passing on?" Yuki asked faintly. "But... that's a bad thing, right?"
"Apparently, you still need her," Mephisto said to Yuki. He looked almost as dead inside as Faust did, surprisingly.
