I am thinking of trying saxophone again. I used to play tenor sax but I don't know if I would want to play that again. I was thinking of trying the bari sax. Is it hard to play the bari sax?

I've been playing alto sax for a while, and after being in band I want to play all of them. I'm not sure about bari though; it'd probably be so heavy it would tip me over xd

I'm not sure about bari though; it'd probably be so heavy it would tip me over xd once you get used to it it's not that bad because this is my second year marching it and third year on the bari and my sixth year playing saxophone don't worry its not that heavy trust me i wouldn't march it if it was xp

Harness? I thought they just used their special little "suspenders" to carry it, instead of a neck strap. (If that's what you meant by harness, then I apologize.)
Anyways, I've been playing the alto sax for 7 years now (and counting), but I have never been taught how to pull off a vibrato. I had to just learn it by myself, but that has made all the difference. I use a combo of the 'flute' vibrato and the sax vibrato, but it's a lot of trouble to go through for something like this. Does anyone know a better way to do it, without messing with your jaw too much while playing?

Just find a good comforatble level for each because they both have there uses in different playing situations.

megamanfan66 Oh, I play on a Rico Jazz 4. (sometimes 4 1/2) Do you use those for jazz? I play on 5's for marchingband and 3's or 3 1/2 for jazz and symphonic.

Actually, I play on this reed for Jazz and Symphonic, and a Vandoren 3 1/2 for marching. (And thx for the vibrato advice; I've got it down now.) 3nodding
