Mostly in my opinion another gimic to try to pester people and cause them to perhaps click on things they dont normally click on to "Make Gaia $".

I mostly ignore it. I actually didn't notice the change at first... sweatdrop When it started, I was in the SF and everyone was saying that they didn't like the new change, and I was like, "What change?!" gonk

Giesta I'm sure you're right, another way to get us to click.
The developer who wrote the change in format admitted that the advertising department made her put the ads at the bottom of the page and wouldn't back down.
The number of obnoxious flashing ads everywhere is finally too much for me to ignore. I'm considering downloaded adblock. Do either of you use that tool? Or know anything about it?

I know about it, but I don't use it, 'cus like I said before, I'm sorta absent-minded and pretty oblivious to my surroundings, so I don't even notice there are ads on the page... sweatdrop

I have heard of it (AD Block) but in the end it would prob. clutter up my Laptop and slow it down. sweatdrop

I have decided to leave Gaia soon so be on the watch for "Items" mysteriously appearing as I ready myself to leave Gaia.

Also, I appreciate everyone who has posted and talked to me this whole time Ive been on Gaia these 2 and 1/2 to 3 years I have been a Member.
P.S (I am not leaving just yet but in at least the next week or so it will most likely be finished.)

Thx, I am a fair way over half way I think.
The hardest part will be saying Goodbye to everyone, I am planning the last time I am on sending a massive PM to all of my friends on my Friends-List.
Also I still havent told one of my closest friends I am quiting soon and she maybe be very distraugt over it. sweatdrop
