"It's not far, but..." Kisa began. "I don't want to get attacked. Give me your hands. I can get us there faster."

Kisa took their hands and said a quick spell that transported them to the outskirts of a small village. "Here we are," she said. "Keep your guard up, just in case. And if anything happens to me, run, got it?"

Kisa walked into the village, looking around for anyone that could attack them.

A man walked up to Kisa. "Lady, your father said to come immediately when you returned," he said, and gripped her upper arm. He began to pull her to a large house.
"Uh-um-alright," Kisa said. With her free hand she motioned to the girls to follow her.

The man led them into the house and to a sitting room. A man sat there, and he didn't look happy. "Kisa," he said when she came in. "You've disappointed me. You disobeyed orders and the other elders were pushing me to try you for treason! Why did you come back, and especially without the boy?" he demanded.
Kisa bowed her head. "I have no excuse, father," she said. "I-I came to-to call...to call a council. I have reason to believe that Shane will not do what was forseen."
Her father hit her hard across the cheek. "You think a traitor like yourself has that authority?!"

"I'll speak to the other elders," her father said. "Until then, Kisa, you'll stay in the cellars, so you can't leave."
"Yes, father," Kisa replied.

The man who had brought the girls grabbed Kisa's arm and dragged her out of the room. He took her to the cellar and then locked and bolted the door before returning.
"So, girls, who are you?" the man asked Faith and Hope.

"I see," the man said, nodding.
The other boy returned with four men behind him. "Sir, I've brought the other council leaders," he said.
"Good. Now we might talk. Please, sit," he said, motioning to the men as well as Hope and Faith.
