*Waves hands frantically* hi hi hi hi!!!! rofl
Had a GRRREAAT weekend! Well Sunday mostly. Went to Toronto's Pagan Pride Day with my g/f. It was a bit more tame then previous years; there weren't a lot of workshops going on. The best one I have to say aside from a poi ball demonstration, a men's ritual and an Egyptian tent (a makeshift tent erected to sent prayers to Isis and Osiris), was a workshop defining your dreams. I did henna for kids, made a little coin, donated half of my proceeds to some of the Pagan groups in town. Whao was I busy...I tattooed around 15 kids and 2 adults. Then there was a closing ceremonial circle (I missed the opening one at the start of the day...kinda disappointed). All in all it was a wonderful day.

Sitting for a friend? @Humble Gypsy - I'm glad your weekend went so well. Is the henna like what they use in Indian weddings? Yep...except I don't make my own...too lazy so I just buy the cones that the henna comes in. xd I didn't do any traditional mendhi...mostly armbands, flowers, elfish (the LOTR language) stuff, Pagan symbols, butterflies...stuff like that. Didn't stay late...so no staying for the bardic, no dancing around the bonfire...missed all the good stuff. crying

Yeah, and it's growing...there's a lot of solitary practioners in Toronto that slowly find out about many of the public gatherings to celebrate the seasons. I find a lot of people that don't do group circles find it out for the first time and go the the mug and moot gatherings after finding out about it from the Pagan sites online.

gaia_nitemareleft Hi guys! I had a great weekend too. I was just super buys. We had our parents visiting us and they were helping us out. We had to have half a dozen of huge spruces cut down, because it had these bugs that were eating them up. It was a lot of work but hopefully we managed to stop the spreading of those darn bugs so we don't have to cut down the whole forest around our house. sweatdrop Good thing is that my comfy hot chocolate moments near the fireplace are secured for the next few years because we have so much firewood now. @humble and sammirah: The pagan festival sounds really interesting. So is everything outside the main religions considered to be paganism or is it just certain type? The term "pagan" is not so often used in here... I think people in my country speak of "alternative religions" or just plain old Finnish traditions. xp gaia_angelright

I need to get an arborist to come take down some large branches from the trees in our yard. A few of the trees have gotten so large and branches are hanging right in our gutters. I'm sure the neighbors wouldn't mind if we cut them back a little either.

The bugs start to burrow inside the tree for hibernation at this point so if we got most of them then, next year there won't be so many of them if not... gaia_angelright
