"Mostly." Shrugging his shoulders to his wife's comment on the girl, though he did raise an eyebrow as she decided to speak up with hrt own opinion on the matter. Though he merely gave a snort of indifference to her words. "I've not time nor patience to play such games with you all. If I won't be told what I want, then I'll take it. I'm sure Malik will have no issue with that." Besides...had had his own words for Malik if he thought this all more of a joke. But he eyed the girl a moment. "Careful, I may think you too crafty for your own good."

Blinking a look up as servant had poked her head in tenatively before coming in and handing him anote. "Well, speaking of the devil, look what we have here." Reading over the note and looking to the servant again. "You can go, I'll send a response myself."

Zahara was pretty much no longer amused. Her own eyes narrowed, calculating, and she stood up and walked over to the girl. "No respect." In less than a second, Zahara had backhanded her hard enough to send a child to the floor, clutching their cheek in pain. At the same time a note was delivered. She didn't have to think very hard to figure out who it might have come from. "Are they coming home?"

And apparently now was not a time to earn Zahara’s ill demeanor on things. Not that he blamed her, what with all that had happened in a short frame of time and the amount of those in her family involved. Kelligrin and the girls were the lucky ones in all of this. “Soon as I give them a clear. Might as well say it’s alright. Malik didn’t seem too worried to begin with and frankly, if he doesn’t come back to deal with this he’s going to have to replace his whole staff.” And frankly, if Malik came back shirking this like it was nothing…Sevilin was walking out from under the House. It perhaps started as a trivial scenario, but it wasn’t anymore and Sevilin was not going to be slighted by Malik brushing this off like dirt from his pants.

She wasn't fooled in the least. There was more to this girl than met the eye and she moved back over to Sevilin and flopped on the bed. "Good. It's high time they came home and settled back in. Those girls are going to want to go somewhere again, I'm betting you." Personally, she'd rather just wipe out the whole damn staff than listen to their bullshit. And this was getting to be ridiculous.

Watching her flop on the bed, he reached over and gave her thigh a pat before getting himself up. "You'd be surprised. Careful, they may cling to you tighter than anything because they missed you do much." Giving her a once over. "You rest, I'll go send them word they can come on home and check on the boy." He was speaking of his younger son of course, the elder would be fine on his own. Thusly vacating the room for him to go pen out a note.

A look over his shoulder to the child who quickly followed and he smirked. "Well, you are indeed a smart one." After all, staying with Zahara was probably bad and not having him around her could mean someone would snatch her right up if they wanted. But other than that comment, she was mostly ignored and expected to follow as he sent a note back to Malik.

Keely was playing taskmaster thus morning and directing others around her in competent fashion to do chores that were more than common things this time. "You heard me, everything needs to be nice for when they come back despite all that's going around here. If you're apprehensive about something, come tell me and I'll solve it." Like she knew she'd be down in Malik's study...she knew how to clean and dust the place without disrupting anything and everyone else was ancy about down there anyway. Her eyes did come to fall on Giedia though as the surface elf had taken to wandering again. "Excuse the commotion, Lord and Lady D'vinn are coming home soon."
