"Oh boy...," Kyle inwardly sighed, knowing that she wouldn't be swayed away from her dresses unless she had a particularly bad experience out in the field. "Like I said, whatever you think is best." He stood there as the two exchanged pleasantries, examining the notepad while he was being ignored. He uncapped the pen with his mouth and started scribbling while he waited, no real rhyme or reason to his drawing.
"The pleasure is mine, Samantha!" Johnny returned the shake gently. Though the lack of emotion in the young girl's voice was very disconcerting, the scientist carried on cheerfully. "Why don't you just step over here, hold your arms out, and I'll be done in a jiffy! Kyle, can you write down the measurements for me?" Though it was asked respectfully, the sandy haired man still grumbled as he flipped a page, pen at the ready.
Between instructions on how Samantha should stand and the measurements for Kyle to write down, Johnny asked the young girl simple questions she'd no doubt already answered that day, trying to make light conversation. Once he'd gotten everything he needed and taken his notepad back- with a small frown at Kyle's barely legible handwriting- he asked, "So Samantha, do you want any additions to your uniform at all?"

Before Samantha stood up on the raised floor, she gently placed Alice down on
Johnny's chair, promising her she wouldn't' be long. She then walked over to the
big-glassed man, looking up at him. She did what she was told, Holding her
arms out, standing straight, and any other requests the man had.
Her answers to him- like Kyle before, were pretty monotone and straight
forward. She didn't waste her breath replying, answering with a couple of words
or more when the need really arose.
And soon enough, he was done. The girl stepped down calmly before ironing
out the wrinkles in her dress. "Additions? Please no pants. I'd like a
knee-length skirt, one that poofs out a bit would be wonderful, thank you."
She nodded at him before going over to his seat and retrieving Alice. "Oh
you don't need a uniform, Alice. Your dress is perfect for you."
