Skulking around the lab of the science department wasn't usually on the list of places to check for Komui's potions, but Kiah didn't want the crazy Branch head to think that she was any less vigilant in her search. She trusted Reever and Johnny to remove what they could, but to her utter dismay, Johnny was just as likely to be making the dangerous serums. The search didn't last long due to the limited amount of hiding spots around the room, so she unconsciously moved on to the job she ended up doing during every trip to the lab; tidying up the place.

((*Sobs.* ;n; You're a mad woman... ))

Sil had some sort of complex that told her if she were relaxing then she wasn't working hard enough. While she did occasionally force herself to sit down and enjoy free time between missions, more than a day of freedom left her feeling like a horrible slacker, so she often would peek into the labs to help out in any way she could. After all, the dark mechanical labyrinths had been her original home and the change to Exorcist made her no less comfortable in her element.

As it was, she had been taking another stab at a project that her group had been working on that hadn't made it past the prototype stages and had since been shelved along with many other Order projects that simply were not working. However, as anyone knew, a fresh set of eyes could often alter an entire equation. At some point, she had opened up the prototype and was tinkering with a small inner mechanism-- the only thing she needed was tweezers, and of course that was the one thing that seemed to be no where in sight on any of the lab tables. Heading off to find a pair from another lab, Sil slipped easily into the next room and noticed Kiah cleaning of all things. "... What the hell are you doing?" She quirked an eyebrow at the blonde.

(( *Evil laughter* NOW PEOPLE CAN... GET YOU THINGS. >: D *Lightning flash* ))

Kiah never failed to kick into cleaning mode when there was a mess spread out along the length of the room. Komui's office, which was never clean no matter what the young woman did, had been the reason why she preferred to do her work in the Common Room instead of lose time over organizing papers with no results.

Jumping at the sound of Sil's voice, Kiah dropped a folder back on one of the tables and spun around, looking slightly embarrassed. "I-I was... looking for potions and ended up... cleaning...?" she said in a questioning tone, not sure exactly what she was doing, either. It would surely be a mess again by morning. Shrugging a little, she asked, "But, uh... what brought you here, Sil?"

((DEAR GOD NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. *Falls to knees and cries.* ;n; ))

"I was looking for some tweezers. You can find any number of things to blow up objects but there's a surprising lack of things that can fix objects," Sil mused.

"Okay, let me rephrase..." A hint of a smile played on her lips, seeming amused by her logic. Finding Komui's potions was a version of cleaning in itself. "Why are you doing that? You never know what you'll find in the drawers of this place. The scientists are almost like squirrels, hiding nuts all over the place," she opened a random drawer to demonstrate, reaching her hand in and slowly drawing out what was inside. First, a handful of fabric and a pincusion stuck full of needles and pins in the frighteningly accurate shape of their head Supervisor, Komui. The head seemed to be particularly filled with pins. Next, some sort of handgun that looked to have once been of the Smith and Wesson variety, but the body of it looked altered and it was certainly a little lighter than any other guns she had touched. She put that down gingerly, making a little uncomfortable noise like she had just pulled a rat out by the tail. "Johnny... Reever... This place is the anti-child safe."

Kiah nodded at that, having found many questionable things around the science lab, but she had simply brushed past them since she was used to it by now. "I think I saw a pair of those... somewhere...," she mused, lifting up a rag and replacing it after finding a scalpel underneath.

"Well, because nobody else is going to," she said with a scowl, knowing that it would only remain the same or get worse the next time she took a trip to the lab. Watching the demonstration curiously, Kiah couldn't help the small smile of approval as Sil pulled out what looked to be some type of voodoo doll, or stress relief. "I need one of those..." Blinking at the gun curiously, she picked it up almost the second Sil put it on the table, not noticing her hesitance. She examined it carefully before slide the chamber out and removed the bullets she found there, laying them on the table. "Hmmm... These bullets don't look like they could be possibly do any damage..." In fact, they were much too light, and the actual bullet was transparent and looked easy to break under pressure. "Must be another experiment."

"Hey, we tidy up sometimes!" Sil put her hands up in surrender-- she in particular tended to be a little scattered with her things, but there was method behind her madness. "Sometimes the way things are laid out is because all of us have brains that are organized in some peculiar fashion and that makes it easier for us... er... I mean them," she frowned slightly, wondering if she still belonged, "makes it easier for them to get their work done."

As for the gun, the look of distaste hadn't left the young woman's face yet. "Maybe they're blanks. Reever is big on guns and marksmanship, so maybe that's to be able to shoot in the castle?" She picked up a bullet, rolling it in her fingers. It felt a little like rubber to her, though she couldn't be sure without further inspection. "Either that or he wanted to find a way to be able to shoot Komui without any ramifications. Especially after the skull incident, everyone knows Reever always has a loaded gun on him, though..." A slow smile crept to her lips, imagining if Reever drew a gun that shot blanks on Komui and the horror that would ensue. "I bet that would scare the hell out of Komui if he shot him."

Kiah caught on to the fact that Sil thought of herself as a member of the science division and tilted her head slightly, blinking in confusion. "You work in here a lot, too, then?" The damage had already been done, so any corrections were ignored by the blonde. "I don't see how having tools halfway across the room can be organization in any way..."

"That could be... or it could be filled with something else along with the powder...," she answered, making a mental note to ask the man about blanks for her gun. The small laugh at shooting at Komui was silenced after hearing about the skull incident. Though she didn't know too much of what happened, she'd managed to catch bits and pieces about it from the finders. "I would love to see it, if he did shoot at that madman... maybe we tell him to wait for us!" Kiah suggested, picking up a bullet. She loaded it up into the altered gun and made sure she knew that it wouldn't backfire. "Want to see what they do?"

"This was my job before... before this," she motioned to the Innocence in her wrists with a sheepish smile. "Old habits die hard, they say. I spent so much time working overtime in here as an apprentice and later as an actual scientist, there's a lot of projects in here I don't want to die. I still come help out when I'm not doing the other job. I think I may be into torture or something."

As for trying out the weapon, Sil's eyes were filled with glee, her hands clapping together like a little girl who had just been given a new doll and told she could hit her brother with it. "Oh, lets," she sang in an overly polite voice, grabbing Kiah by her free arm and dragging her to the back of the lab where she knew they could find a humanoid dummy. The base if it scraped against the floor as she dragged it out-- the poor thing looked like it had been through hell and back. "I named this poor guy Arthur. If Arthur is non-lethally injured and still in possession of his body parts, I say we do a little hunting afterwards~" Her eyes sparkled mischievously.

"Wow... I don't know how you manage with all of that...," she smiled a little and thought about how much work it was in the science division alone. That on top of being an Exorcist... well, Kiah didn't know how the other woman had any free time at all. "Don't work yourself too hard... I'm sure you'll be able to figure out those... projects," she hesitated, curious as to what Sil was working on.

"Uh..." After her small look of disgust before, Kiah hadn't expected the older woman to get so excited about trying out the gun. She nearly tripped as she was dragged along, keeping her opposite arm extended to find her balance. As Sil came to a stop and pulled Arthur out, the blonde woman winced at the state it was in. "Yeash, maybe we should spare him the misery...," she joked, taking aim with a smile at the older woman's excitement at their potential toy. "And then we hope nothing worse happens?" Making sure Sil was out of the way, Kiah lined up the barrel with the dummy and squeezed the trigger, receiving no kickback at all. The shot wasn't powerful at all, and the only thing that was visible around Arthur was the plastic of the transparent bullet and a fine, sparkling powder. "Huh... You want to give it a go before we track down the not-so-innocent~?"
