((*Pets Kiah.* :c You should really have to face your monster. It's proverbial and all. ))
The selfish attitude irked Sil to a degree she could barely temper, and she was sure she had been elevated to sainthood over the last few minutes for not reacting too horrendously to his responses. "If you knew him at all, you'd know that he would be here helping you if he could," her voice was even, mostly out of respect for the man she was speaking about, "and you would also know that he is not keen on battle. His specialty is defense. Watch it, too. Kiah just kicked your a**. It's too bad the roles aren't switched in this situation," she frowned gently, not much conviction behind her words. Over time she was becoming increasingly attached to Kiah, and though she did not vocalize it, she was relieved that the young woman was not in the line of fire like her idiot friend.
"Anyway, we are here intermittently. Maybe you should suck up your pride and try asking people to train with you. You've never asked me, and I'm guessing you've not managed the... the... fegato," the rather questionable and unladylike gesture she made along with the Italian word that substituted the one she could not find helped translated, "to ask the others either. Chaoe is always dying to train, and I'm sure Tim would give you a go as well-- they may be kids but they have more experience and skill than you do. Not to mention Michi, Chaoji---" and the list went on and on. The tone of her voice was passionate on the subject. "Hell, use the ark and go to the Asian Branch. Fou will rip you a new one gladly."

(( Kiya: I will find you, winged one... I always find you... *Eye twitches as she continues to limp after them*
;A; I never want to see her again... ))
"That may be so, but that doesn't really matter if he's not here to help... and my weapon isn't exactly made for blocking anything. I'd be lucky if I could deflect a few shots back with it," Kyle replied with a frown, knowing his limitation with his Innocence at least. "She helped you beat me, for starters. Not only that, but I don't think she could handle it, from what I've heard from the other Exorcists and finders." Though it was said in somewhat of a cruel way, it was more out of fear that his best friend one day would be joining them in the field once they recovered more Innocence.
Kiah, for her part, had kept silent for most of the exchange, beaming with pride at Sil's complements. However, her mood went downhill as Kyle continued speaking, and she was quick to turn her glare towards him. "Don't talk about me like I'm not here!" she spat, glaring meaningfully at the young man, "Anything you're hit with, I could take ten times worse."
"Alright, alright, I got it...," Kyle responded to Kiah with a frown, turning his attention back to Sil. "Fegato...? And why would I have kids train with me? I wouldn't want to hurt them," he scowled, rolling his eyes through the rest of the list. "Who the hell is Fou?" Kyle shook his head in frustration before a sudden realization dawned on him, and he soon had that smirk that spoke of trouble on his face again. "So then, how about you help me train, then? You generally have nothing better to do, right?" the tone of his voice suggested that there would be no discussion on the matter.

"You have no idea what you're talking about," Sil snapped, her eyebrows knitting even deeper after Kiah had snapped at the young man. He was being an insensitive jerk, though that was perfectly normal for the particular young man they were dealing with. "First of all, she's seen more battle action than you have here, what with facing down an entire angry mob of men and getting shot."
As the smile slowly spread across his face and the suggestively placed remark, Sil felt cold dread slithering down her back. The muscles of her jaw tensed as she gritted her teeth, swallowing the hot anger that bubbled up to combat the chill of fear. It was a cacophonous mixture swirling in her stomach that made her sick. "Sure," she managed to say once she unlocked her teeth, her eyes resting on him so intently he could likely feel the weight of her gaze. With Kiah there, there would be discussion. Whether Kyle liked it or not, Kiah provided leverage for her as well-- if he refused her request then he would be without a training partner and an utterly ungrateful whelp. "But we do it the right way. Which means you listen to whatever I say during training time. That's the only way you're going to get better."

(( Plot twist: The Earl works for Kiya. ))
Kyle simply sighed, knowing that he had put his foot in his mouth that time. He didn't question her ability, necessarily, but on her willingness to harm others. Though that would open him up to a whole slew of questions and heated comments that he wasn't keen on dealing with at that moment. "Oh, I have an idea, alright...," he murmured, giving Kiah a small, apologetic smile. It was instantly gone as the smirk replaced it once again. "I get it, she knows what she'd doing."
A genuinely happy smile spread across his face as she agreed, and he simply nodded to her conditions since he was getting exactly what he wanted. "As long as we'll be working on fighting and not just running around the training hall... no offense, Kiah," he stated offhandedly, trying not to tick her off any more than he already had. No words of thanks were uttered, but since he wasn't being too awful they would probably let it slide.
Kiah couldn't believe that Sil had agreed to train him, but she was actually more relieved that he would finally learn how to properly defend himself. "Well you got lucky... If anyone can whip you into shape, I'm sure Sil could," she grinned, putting her hands on her hips, "You better give him hell, Sil. That's the best way for him to learn."

"Hell will be a day spa when I'm done with him~" She smirked-- now that he had agreed she was going to make him her b***h when it came to training. It was the only way she would be able to stop herself from killing him, so it was mutually beneficial at the end of the day. "And you will be running. A lot. You will thank me the first time you have to run ten miles through the forest on a cloudy night with no moon. If you think it sucks for you, try being a smoker with lung damage and doing it. Kiah can help keep you in shape for that." She smiled at her, wrapping an arm around her shoulder with a little show of camaraderie. "Take it or leave it."

Kyle faltered at the detailed explanation, considering that only one mile tired him out on a good day, but he smiled warily in the end and agreed. "I guess if you can do it, then so can I..." The thought of Kiah spurring him on almost made him regret that decision. "... You've got yourself a deal."
"Sounds like a plan~!" Kiah stated in a sing-song tone, grinning a little evilly at the sandy-haired man. "Oof!" The arm across her shoulder had been unexpected, though she still had a large smile on her face. She was a little worried that Sil would see or feel the scars across her back, but she figured the older woman was too focused on Kyle to be paying much attention. "I'll even run the ten miles with you to make sure you do it!"
