"I'm sorry. I just...I don't want you to do things becuase you think your life has no worth, is all. I'd prefer to be your friend for a long time to come, not have you throw your life away becuase you don't see the value in it."
He sat back down on the bed, and shook his head lightly.
"Can we just forget this conversation and start over? like is your name actually Whirlwind, or is that a title or nickname?"
Malik coudl feel her. like a sixth sense. she was alive, she was callign for him. he knew it. he had to think that. He spurred Nightmare to a full gallop, literally leaving a blazing trail behidn them, fire so hit it left grooves in stone. right now he didn't even care if Keiran was keeping up. Other than thoughts of Piper coming safe to him..he was picturing all the horrible things to do to Kaden and Terran.
"We're coming, Piper...and carrying with us all the keys to hell and death."

Kaden heard her and his jaw tightened. Anger burned him and he glared up at her. He shot an irritated glance to Terran but didn't speak to him. The urge to hit her was high but he restrained himself. If he chose to hit her later, then later he would. For now, he had other things to worry about. "Welcome back my dear. I never knew you were so weak. Fainted over a mere hit on the head." Walking over he lifted her chin to look at him and gently stroked her cheek. He shook his head, "I remember a strong Piper who refused to let anything get her down. How much you have changed..." He let that sentence hang there for a moment and then smiled, "But now that you have come to...we have much to discuss you and I. Although I hate the thought of what you have done, I'm willing to let it all go. Everything will be right soon enough Piper Ravenwing. You are finally mine." God he loved saying that. "So Piper, tell me, why him, why that...Tel'gothrim?"

She didnt let go of emoitons that easily, to be honest she was still pretty angry. She walked to the edge of the window, called for Lavi.
"What is Whirlwind? Aella is whirlwind, Whirlwind is Aella. They mean the same thing." She sniffed. She wasn't about to just let things slide. She didn't work that way.
THe dragon came, had to land outside on the street. Aella strated for the stairs. "I am returning to the ship. I don't have much more time for...idle chatter."
She headed out onto the street.

Lavi heard the call, and began his short flight to find the caller.
Meanwhile, somewhere not too far away, by the drow's standerds, he sat in the top of a tree completely invisible, seeing a brave little oppertunity arrising, all he needed was the right amout of cover. Slowly around the feet of the elves bantering on the ground, a thick myst began to rise to about knee hight, as though a gyser spilled not too far away.
I pays to have several wizards on th payroll, not to mention a consistant and devoted spy network of some of the best scryers.
Tarathiel waited, he knew he had to be quick to get this little plan off without getting anyone killed... Not killing anyone, how, Diabolical of him.

Gods...she couldn't focus...she looked to him though with half closed eyes as he demanded her attention, but also she flinched lightly at his touching her. Kaden was after all an elf, and not just an elf but someone from her past she would rather really not see right not. Faint? That wasn't the word. But her wits were coming slowly back to her again. "...Donquesse..." That was right, not Ravenwing, Silverfeather. Then she actually glared at him slightly as her mind was starting to push past the disorientation. "Mori'Quessir," she corrected him, "I love him...that's why." Really that was the truth. She gave another slight whimper as pain hit her again in various degrees. "...let me go Kaden..." A slight pleading tone to it.

He just laughed, "that thing deserves no respect. Don't give him any Piper. And Ravenwing is your last name. It should be right now and it will be soon, therefore Piper Ravenwing will I call you." He watched her carefully to see how she was reacting, making sure she was actually awake and he crossed his arms. "Never Piper. I've said it before and I'll say it again. You. Belong. To. Me. And nothing you or that blasted drow says or does will change that. We had an agreement Piper, a binding agreement that you broke. Care to tell me why?" He tapped his foot for a moment and then laughed again, "Love Piper? You don't know what love is. You think you do...you're wrong." A wealth of bitterness in his voice there. He walked over and fingered the collar she wore around her neck, "Does he bind you to him with the love of a slave for her master Piper? Is that the kind of love the two of you share?"

She glared harder at him. "Donquesse il Mordulinraama!" Okay, she was indeed awake now...though somehow she wished she wasn't. After all, bing awake meant this was real and that she had to feel the pain as well that jolted every now and again. "Binding? I would say not. As far as my breaking of it...I didn't want that life Kaden. I couldn't do it, I wanted no part of it. I didn't like who I was becoming." Though she looked a little taken aback by his comment on love...the tone in his voice was something that she recognized because for a long while it had been in her own voice when she spoke of elves. Pure bitterness. Another jerk of her head from his touching her collar, only causing her head to swim a moment. "Love of the heart and of a bond." Then her look softened again and turned to almost pleading again...she was in a very bad situation. "Why are you doing this Kaden?

Onyx snapped his jaws together tightly, and walked out after her, taking her by the amr and pulling her back lightly. not being forceful, just insiting she come back for a second.
"If you don't want to stay around me, will you at least see if you can get your captian to give my lizard back to me? he is mine, bought and paid for and a fine companion steed. And..write me about hwo your doing once in awhile, will you?"
He plucked one of his longer feathers, it woudl work as a quill well enough.
"like it or not, I made a promise. and I will keep it. if you ever need me, just call for me. and I'll come to you as fast as I can."
"I'm grounding her to the fortress for a month when I get her out of this mess. I knew this was a bad idea, and I knew somethign was going to happen!"
A glance at Keiran. Zephyr's did keep decent pace to Nightmares, didn't they.
"how do you like this plan. torture them over the next hundred years in a breaker room..did Piper tell you about the breaker rooms?"

She was not sure she liked tht arm tg, but she sighed as she took the feather. "I don't dislike you, Onyx. Know that, okay?"
She would have stuck the feather somewhere, but she didn't have anyhwere to put it. So she held on to it with one hand, the staff in the other. It was warring to take controle of her right now, sheince her gaurd ws a take shaken.
"I will enquire about the lizard,w hen next I see tarathiel, and see if I can send him back." She climed up on the dragon, she dind't know how to steer, but she asumed that dragon new where to go.
"I'll see you around, Onyx."

Keep pace? Hell, that was easy. Not to mention Nerian was in a ever growing brave mood...the thought of something bad happening to Piper brought out the courage in the Zephyr. "She failed to mention breaker rooms to me...but it sounds bad enough." But Kieran shook his head. "She knew it was a bad idea as well...but she thought she could handle it apparently." Part of him wanted to say it was maybe because she wanted to prove something to Malik...but then again she had always seemed to be wanting to prove something to everyone that crossed her path.

"Why? Why am I doing this? I was worried about you Piper. My betrothed ran off and never returned. I've been searching for you for years. And I finally found, now I want some answers." He moved over to her again and lightly laid a hand against her cheek. "Do you know how worried I was? Can you even comprehend how scared I was that...someone had taken you or that some great harm had befallen you. I waited for you to come back...I waited and waited and waited....but you didn't." His anger began to come back in waves. "Was the thought of living with me that abhorrent to you? It could have been good between us...I would have made you happy..." But his fists were clenched and he wanted to make her feel the kind of pain he had felt all those years. He started to pace and then stopped, "I know you didn't have it easy Piper. I know you weren't happy...but did you really do better for yourself? Look at you. You claim to be in love with a drow for god's sake!" He took a good look at her and his eyes narrowed. "Why do you cover your ears? Don't want to be an elf anymore?" He reached up and ripped it off of her, intending to toss it but he stopped and his eyes widened. Speechless. Where the tip of her ear should have been...there was nothing. It was ripped off halfway up. He shook his head and reached up fingering it genltly. His voice softened and he sounded almost compassionate, "What happened Piper? Who did this to you? That should have never happened, you had life hard enough being who you are. No one should have taken the one thing that identifies you as an elf away. No one." He let go of her ear and slowly began to pace again. There was a lot he wanted to do but he knew that if she spoke the truth and her drow was in love with her, he'd be trying to find her. A large span of time had passed since her race with Terran and he knew he would have been getting worried if she hadn't come back yet. He had to move on with his ultimate plan. It didn't take long to get what he needed. A mythril chain in his hand, elvish style, at the end was a vicious four inch spike. It was about an inch in diameter and there was a medium sized hook on the end of it. He walked up to her and whispered softly into her ear, "You have done many things Piper and you will pay for them all but this is just the beginning." Then he lifted the spike, moving the blasted chainmail and rammed it the space between her neck and her shoulder. The sound of metal slicing flesh filled the space and then he deftly turned the hook and felt around until he finally managed to hook it on her collarbone. He pulled once or twice to make sure the hook had found it's true mark. It was designed to be almost impossible to pull out without causing a great deal of damage and he had no intentions of letting anyone pull it out. In a matter of moments, the other end was wrapped around his wrist a few times to be difficult to get off. He yanked a few times experimentally to get her reaction. When he was finished he dusted off his hands and said, "There we go. Doesnt' that feel nice?"

"You've seen the ogres with the sharp hooks and chains and the really large hammers? those are breakers. they enjoy hurting things. I throw said slave or person in and room with two of them and they just well..do whatever they feel like doing. a cleric is on call to heal and restore the one being punished as needed for teh duration of thier stay in the room."
Okay he was getting a tad bit annoyed now.
"Terran Gale! Kaden! Show yourselves and die like elve or be cut down like the dogs you are!"
Onyx smiled lightly, that feather might help him get a track of her..after all those wisps coudl hone in on what was part of him...adn he really did want to hear from her. He had a crush on teh girl, and wanted as much time as he could get.
"another time, Whirlwind."
And once she left, he started for home as well.

She nodded, and kicked Lavi into flight. This time though she did not much enjoy the ride. It seemed all too soon she was back at thes ship, and she realized that she didn't even remember how she had gotten there, couldn't recall the flight at all.
Lavi let her off on the deck, she did not even bother to look around at the drow, the wizards, whomever happened to be out there. She found the cabin, walked in, found the bed and flopped onto it and it's remaining sheet. She ignored the dragon-man and Warhammer for the moment. She just needed a moment to collect hereself.

"Kaden, I left a note, I told you I was leaving! I never said I was coming back...never, not once. And to be honest the thought of going back has never crossed my mind. It wasn't you Kaden...and yes...we could of been happy, but I didn't want just happy. I wanted love, I wanted a bond Kaden...I didn't feel it with you...no bond at all...I refused to be with someone without it. And I refused to be what they wanted me to be, I wasn't going to be their bridge, I wasn't going to be an elven princess, I wanted none of it Kaden. Why couldn't you be like everyone else and forget about me?" Though at him ripping off her bandana she went quiet as a wave of self consciousness slammed into her. A violent flinch followed as he reached out to touch at her ear...that was something she didn't like anyone doing, Malik could barely do it. Though what disgusted her was that he sounded almost caring about it. "Don't touch me...and it's none of your concern...and you're like all the rest...saying my ears make me an elf...not very elvish anymore am I Kaden...all the more reason for you to just leave...I'm of no worth to you..." Though at the sight of his little toy...Piper shut her mouth and her eyes widened....what the hell was he planning. Seemed the rare trait of fear was in her eyes as she realized exactly what he was planning with that thing as he raised it. A strangled scream left her throat, probably loud enough for Kaden's satisfaction but too strangled to carry out far...it hurt that bad that a scream wouldn't even come out as it should, why? Because that scream got choked out by tears and fear...a combination Piper never liked at all. She thought she had felt pain before...but this was a whole new definition. She could feel the damn thing hooked on her collarbone, could hear it when Kaden tugged on that chain...and her reaction to yanking? An increase in breathing and a short strangled scream each time he yanked. "K-Kaden...p-please...don-n't...do...t-this..."
Terran froze. Eyes going wide. This had goen far from talking a a few swift hearbeats. This had gone to torture. "Ravenwing! What are you doing to her?!" Sure, Terran was greedy and Terran made bad choices...but he had pride about him. Pride of his own elven people...and this was down right...drow. Yes, that's how de described it. The actions a drow would take...not a surface born elf. Okay...now Terran was having second thoughts about being employed under Kaden Ravenwing.

He stepped back to admire his own handiwork, he had ten feet of chain after all, and snarled, "Stay out of this Gale!" Then he turned back to Piper. "A note! You think a note was enough Piper?! Enough for all the pain and humiliation I experienced because you weren't strong enough to stay? What about honor Piper? You made an agreement!" He slammed his fist into the trunk of the tree. "I could have made you happy and in time you could have loved me. God knows I loved you enough! Lle wethrine amin! And for that I can't forgive you Piper." His anger dulled, he became strangely calm and said, "You are no less of an elf, you always beleived yourself to be less. But I never did, I always thought you were stronger than you believed and that you would show them." He laughed bitterly, "You showed them all right. You showed them at my expense. And for that you must pay." He laughed now and said, "I know what you're thinking, you're thinking that teh drow will come for you. Well Piper I hope he does. I really hope he does." And since that sounded so insane he tried to make her understand, "You see, there is a little...surprise I have for him. I know he'll come in here sword drawn ready to destroy me but he won't be able to." He laughed again. "Let's try something, shall we?" He picked up his knife and said, "Now I'm going to slice my palm." and he did so, dragging the blade so it would cut deeply on the palm of his hand. "But look...I felt no pain adn there is no mark. Hmm...I wonder where it went...oh wait. Look at that...you felt it Piper didn't you and look," he picked up her hand. "Blood. Now shall we try that again? Yes, let's." And he sliced his other palm. But again teh same thing happened. "Now...if when I cut myself the pain and mark gets transferred to you...what would happen when I cut you? Let's find out." He took the knife and moving beneath the chain mail, sliced her stomach, just enough to bleed. "Well, well seems it doestn' work the other way around. So Piper, what have we learned? Ah yes, all damage done to me, gets transferred directly to you and it doesn't work vice versa. Isn't that fun? Won't Malik be surprised?" He laughed again adn then looked at Terran, "You are a weakling. If you fear so much go get D'Vinn yoruself. Bring him here so he can join in our little game."
