If it wasn't for her ankle she'd half walked away but she was currently stuck. Being spoiled all her life, which the exception of Raven's hand in telling her no, she wanted to keep him there and the first spark of her temper entered her eyes.
Instead of being able to leave, she just held him closer like she could just keep him right there.

He saw the spark in her eyes and smiled. She had a temper alright, and one he loved.
"I'm not staying if it'll harm my family"
It felt strange to claim to have a family for him. Sure, he had been back for quite a while, but until a week ago, Raven hadn't known that she belonged to his family

She pouted as she sulked. She held her temper better then her mother...At least hers was noticable and you could predict what she would do next.

He hugged her closer before he whispered.
"She's gonna have to get past your Uncle Ari before she takes me with her.."
It was the only hint he'd give her as to what had transpired between Domina, Arioch and himself, though knowing her, she'd probably guessed half of it already simply by the fact he seemed to spend a lot more time with Arioch now and was staying here instead of his own place.

She blinked innocent eyes at him. She'd asked Arioch later what transpired. She didn't know about the mark Arioch put on her father, let alone what it would do.
She kissed his cheek and hugged him close. "In that case you can't leave..."
She wasn't sure if she simply didn't want him to leave the house or to step out and walk away again.

"Wait and see.. for now, I'm here"
He didn't know what the future had in store for him, nor how much he could handle. For now though, he'd take things one day at a time and at least try to be there for his daughter in a time where she needed him.

"You sound like mother," she said sweetly. She looked at her ice pack and frowned before looking back to daddy.
"I think my foot could use a new ice pack...."

He asked, before following her gaze to the ice pack then back at her.
"Will you let me go or is me going to the kitchen to get a new one too far away?"
He asked, jokingly as he picked the ice pack up

"Both? But since I don't want you getting on my case about not staying off my foot I'm going to have to let you go."
She smiled sweetly, kissed his cheek again and released him.

He laughed as he messed up her hair and pulled away from her. He hadn't had spent much time with his daughter of late and had half forgotten how relaxing it was to do so.
He took a little longer in the kitchen to get the new ice pack, but he couldn't just go into the kitchen without getting a coffee, that was like going to a brothel and not getting layed.
Once he got back, he carfully checked on the ankle, just to make sure it hadn't gotten any worse, then put the ice pack back on it.
"See? I came back"
He joked, trying to get her to relax a bit more about his dissapearance.

She poked her tongue at him as she settled herself down again. She hadn't forgotten what it was like to simply spend time with her dad.
"That's only because I'm hurt..." She teased back.

He stopped suddenly, his mood turning dark as he focused on the coffee in his hand rather than on her as a thought crossed his mind before looking at her again, this time uncertainty showing in his eyes.
"You thought I abandoned you.. "

She stared back at him. As far as she had known then, he was the only parent she had. He had told he'd be back but months had turned to years and her child mind kept thinking he'd come back when he hadn't shown up.
She didn't say anything yet. She'd only ask Raven and Arioch about hwere her father was and why he hadn't returned, nethier being able to tell her.
Now she was sitting near her dad who had come back.
"I had..a long time ago..."

Ra said nothing, just gently caressed his wife's hand, his father knew more about this then he did, so he let him do all the talking.
Drake, a talker by nature, hardly noticed his son wasn't saying anything. It was natural for Ra to be silent, by now he just accepted it as Isis had always done, "Every pregnancy is different, though the restless is common, along with fatigue. I can't say I know anything about Pheonix pregnancies, my wife is a Succubus after all; however, doing some research will do you both a world of good. When you know what is coming, it is easier to take it." He already planned on telling his son of birthing, maybe his boy can keep circulation in his hand the whole time.

"Somehow I don't think many know about a Pheonix's pregnancy. Legend just says they are reborn from ashes..."
Well, they were about to find out what a pregnant phoenix could be like. She stretched out a bit, realizing how soon her tummy would no longer be flat. But she seemed fine with that.
