i have like, so many questiosn about gopets .-.
- what is the talk about mushies this month?
- premium pond? do users get one or something?
- what's with the new fortune cookies?
- how do people make pink shells now?
- do we get one or two snowclouds, because I only got one...

D: GP is getting suckier and suckier. If they're getting rid of pink, why not get rid of green as well?! So then we won't have to deal with having to know the current rates of shells and stuff. ._.

-The premium pond is the fishing pond that was given away last year; its drops have been changed. (and also some people think it's rather pointless since one can now buy other ponds in GP stores)
-The new premium ones give a LOT more gold. (I for one think it's ridiculous, but everyone seems to be rejoicing.)
-Writing testimonials, GoDance, recycling items. (particularly tailored ones)
-We're supposed to get two. I've heard of some other people only getting one. You should contact support.

The premie ponds are NOT s'posed to give the same stuffs as the fishing ponds, but they got broked, and so far GP hasn't been able to find the problem yet according to my sources.
About the pink shells... from my understanding, anyone will be able to earn them, but only premium users will be able to spend them, thus making them more valuable. Pink shells have always been the least needed, so I'm guessing this is GP's way of changing that.

Well, if GP didn't take away the gold from the PFCs then maybe pink would be needed more. stare That was how I made my gold, trading it 1 = 100~~ But then I understand because of economy stuff.. ._.

EDIT: I posted and then decided to read back through everything everyone has said here about GoPets.
Personally, I think Erik's method to make pink more valuable is silly. I've always thought pink was valuable. Then again, I haven't been able to log into the client since the 30th of October 2007 because I no longer have access to a Windows computer (and GoPets doesn't recognise my Parallels graphics card- which I know would be compatible. I use the application called Parallels to run Windows and everything else works perfectly on it)
I've had problems with GoPets recently to do with GoCollector- I bought my November subscription but GoPets didn't give me GoCollector and I wasn't premium when I should have been, so since I couldn't check myself that I had received anything I had to contact Support.
It took me until a couple of days ago before one of the support crew said that they had sent me the last two weeks of the November theme, but that I had to log in to the client myself and check whether I ever got the first two weeks (which I wouldn't have) before she'll send me them. She said I have three months to do so otherwise I won't get the items.
So I have to somehow get onto a Windows computer which is compatible with GoPets in the next three months and then wade through all my unopened items (which I know there will be a lot) and then find a list of November theme items and tick them off a list and then notify GoPets that they still haven't given me all of November's items.
Not to mention that they forgot to give me my free month's subscription this month so I'm having to go through it all again to try and get that.
And what also annoys me is that Erik is giving out some gold shells to people who bought GoCollector, but I only bought a month of GoCollector, so the shells he is giving out (which he put a price on) won't add up to the amount I spent on GoCollector for that month.

Okay, maybe I shouldn't have read everyone else's posts. LOL.
I think I'll go back to my job applications now. Then I need to go out and ride my horse.

We keep moving forward, opening new doors, and doing new things,Yeah the plans Erik has, are so confusing. I know what he wants, but it isn't what everyone else wants.
He should be worrying about the wants of the members and not the wants of what he wants. >< I really never saw much of a problem with gopets before all this change. I loved it, then with the new UI when people on the test server didn't like it just made me mad. I just lost interest.
The whole club Penguin thing that he wants will drive tons away. All the changes make feel people scared to speak out sometimes or just leave. I know with all the change there are a ton of people gone. It makes me sad that there are a lot of people on my friends list that have left.
The premium item this month wasn't much of a premium item at all. The sudden changes with the cookies are making people lose their tempers at it. There is just so much change the community can take. I just miss the old gopets, the one that didn't change.
I just hope with all this change Erik will be ready for whatever happens because there will be a lot of commotion on some of the stuff.
The whole pink is suppose to be valuable is pretty dumb. If it becomes premium it will ruin the whole game. I know Erik is trying to make money, but you have to please the community to make money. I'll just go with the flow for now and see how it all comes about. because we're curious and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.

I feel the same way as dolly actually.
I joined over a year ago, and things were so much different back then..
the old exchange rate, the fact that people actually bought customs back then, and the cool premium items of 06. They were actually usable and feasible, like they gave you some sort of benefit. But this year's.. is really bland. Mostly animations, or things you can enter/exit with.
and I hated how they changed the iku thing, the whole display so you can't have the status bar and the pets in different boxes.
and the fact that the new UI kept freezing my comp it was also so discouraging to me.
And on the forums, when people weren't complaining as much as now, and there weren't all these major changes.
I just miss those days =[
