Wasabi got lucky.
Apparently she had really good standardized test scores.
So tuition is free for me at any state college.
xB
I almost gave up the scholarship though.

I had perfect test scores, and really good SAT scores. but in texas, you only get a full scholarship if you're top 10 percent.

XD
I think my test scores are what saved me.
Because my grades for senior year sucked.
PostPosted: Mon Jul 24, 2006 7:01 pm

in california its more of a balance
well i dont know about going for free but
the worse your sat is the higher your gpa better be and vis versa
so if you get bad grades it doesnt matter but you better nail that test if you do 3nodding

3nodding
It's like that here too.
If you have bad grades then colleges look at your test scores.
Bad test scores then they look more at your grades.
That's why the test scores saved me.
xD

I had a 3.67 gpa (out of 4. I know in some places its out of 5), and still was only #26 out of 144 XP
and you need to have a good sat to get into college, but a god gpa to go for free XP
PostPosted: Mon Jul 24, 2006 7:10 pm

The SAT's were easy.
;B
I would have done better if I didn't suck at math. But whatever.
PostPosted: Mon Jul 24, 2006 7:17 pm

lol. for my first two years of highschool, my gpa was like... 1. I'm not kidding. I always skipped and didn't do homework and only passed cause the teachers knew I knew the material, but didn't want to do the work XD

could you tell me what the test focused on? ninja
PostPosted: Mon Jul 24, 2006 7:22 pm

The math part was based on basic arithmetic, algebra and logic. It was simple stuff, not like calculus or anything. The hard part about it is finishing within the time limit, for me at least.

The language part just tests your writing skills and the like. If you have an extensive vocabulary it's extremely helpful. Also being good with grammar. They test you a lot of grammar and sentence structure.
