Persephone came out onto the pitch making a noise somewhat akin to a growl. She was trying her best to get into game mode. Being a beater was all about strength. Well, and a little bit about aim too. You didn't want to hit a bludger strong just to have it hit you back. She flexed a few times, not that anyone else was watching but it made her feel good. She was ready.

Fiadh was so ready for the first game of the season. Sure it was against Ravenclaw but a lot has changed. Ravenclaw was down a decent chaser never mind their keeper from last year. Hopefully that would make things easier for the puffs. At the very least Fiadh was hoping it would be a way less hectic game compared to the game prior. Gryffindor and Slytherin really went at it, and in the end Gryffindor still lost. Poor Seb, he just needed to win one and then he'd see he was a good player. Fiadh knew things would turn around for him eventually...

Game one had been great, but game two... would probably also be great. It was Lewis Abrams' last year to captain his team, and rumor had it, he was driving for the quidditch cup. They hadn't seen a three-peat in a long time. Not that Xiang supported one team above the others, of course. They supported all the teams as best they could, anyway. As everyone walked out onto the pitch and the stands filled up, Xiang chatted with the various players. When her watch chimed, Xiang tooted her whistle and gestured the teams to the sky.
She opened the trunk and sent the bludgers up first, followed by the snitch, before grabbing the quaffle and hopping on her broom. Once in the center, she started her usual spiel. "Good morning, my little sweet-beans! Today we've got Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw, facing off! As always, there's no cheating, no magic, and no being poor sports! It's going to be a great game! Captains ready? Chasers ready?" Once she had an affirmative on both, Xiang tossed the ball up into the air before backing out, ready to watch the game.
