First thing Maddy did once she arrived back at HQ was grab her Fraxure and Gabite and run to the kitchen to brew them some Shiny Tea.
"This is so exciting!" She said, waiting patiently for the kettle to boil.

After a few moments, the kettle was done boiling and Maddy served both of her Pokemon a cup of the shiny tea. As the hot liquid filled the cups, it caught the light and shimmered beautifully. To Maddy, it smelled nice and fruity. She handed a cup to her Gabite and to her Fraxure.
Fraxure downed the cup instantly, scalding his tongue. He shook his head and made a face, he didn't really like the taste that much. Too sweet for his liking. Suddenly, his body began to shimmer and change color. The green hide that covered most of his upper half became an olive color, and the skin covering his lower half and tail darkened to a black. His eyes, claws, tusk tips, tail tip, and spots turned a bright cyan. He smiled upon checking himself out in the nearest mirror. The nasty tea was quite worth the change.
Gabite, however, loved the sweet flavor the tea. To him, it tasted like a mixture of pineapple and a hint of kiwi. An interesting combination. His body also began to shimmer, the pale greyish-blue of most of his body turning into a brighter, richer blue. His grey underbelly and rings on his "horns" also turned into a pale cyan-like color. He was pretty impressed with the changes to his body as well.
Maddy smiled, glad to have her two favorite Pokemon in shiny form.
"Okay, guys. You're looking good, but we have research to do."
With that, the three headed back to their room.

Allen observed the Nutrition Facts on the the tags on the tea bags, "The hell is 'Sparkle Powder'...?" His face twisted confusedly. The print got smaller and smaller till it was illegible. "What a useful thing this is." He grunted, stashing the bags away into bag. He'd end up using them later, but when he was absolutely sure he would want to make his Pokemon shiny. He flopped down onto one of the couches and lazed around, thinking over yesterday. He'd listened to the distant rumbling all night and couldn't keep it out of his head that he'd agreed to stop Archie... That he agreed to betrayed him. Of course everyone else on the team, aside from the following of nameless grunts, had agreed to it too. Allen sighed and slouched back, laying his head comfortably on the plush back of the couch, lifting an arm and folding it over his eyes.

"Yes they are," Dark responds to Maddy as he heads into the kitchen to grab a coffee. He comes out and sits down on the couch.

Allen sits up, hearing the voices of Dark and Maddy. "Mm? Oh, hey guys." He gave a small wave, well, less a wave and more just lifting a couple fingers from their rest on the arm of the couch. He set his head back down and re-covered his eyes with his other arm.

"Well, I have to confirm something first. I need to return to Mt.Pyre."
She had another swig of her drink. She wondered when would be the best time to go there. At least Magma wouldn't be around to stop them this time.

"That's not even far." Dark says. He hears Allen about the mission and thinks. It was nice to finally have a bit of freedom.
"Oh I've got a bottle of advil in my pocket if you want one." He says to Allen.
