A guy on Ragnarok just gave me a pile of money, and tried desperately to sell/give me one of his old characters. Called me crazy after I refused multiple times saying I wanted to level my own. XD
He also tried to give me what, after looking it up, is apparently a rare cash shop item... Feel almost silly now for refusing that one. Ah well. I can feel better about myself for not accepting noob charity*?

n00b charity ruins the fun.
Sure, it's nice to blow through a level with ease with a super item, but you lose a lot in the experience. You lose the challenge, if you enjoy that sort of thing, but you also lose the experience of learning from your mistakes. Often times when you're not forced to be put through your paces, you don't learn what you really need to know to be successful end game.

I do have the advantage of having played the game before, to have some idea how to play the systems, but yeah. My goal for the day had been to secure a good source of income to buy potions and stuff with, but with a huge stack of money... It just feels like a waste of time. I don't even know what to spend it all on.
Then again, player vendors sell things for ridiculously high amounts, so it's almost guaranteed I'll eventually find something I really want that'll drop me back to poverty where I belong. (I have never successfully become rich in a video game...)

Sometimes you're better off hunting for the items instead of buying them. Like when I used to play maple story I want to say I leveled up at least 5 times looking for a piece of armor. There's also a good chance the thing you're looking for has better stats than the one in the store.

There's also a good chance the thing you're looking for has better stats than the one in the store. Not necessarily, at least in this game. Generally what you find at the player vendors is the best around. It takes away the fun and accomplishment of hunting it though. Being able to say you legitimately acquired an item with only a 0.01% chance of dropping is pretty darn cool. Though tedious too. The market in this game is a bit weird though, sometimes. There's a very low level monster that has a good chance of dropping a certain item. This item is a very weak healing item, with no practical use for high level players, far as I can tell. There are people who camp outside of the hunting area and pay up to about 3k each for them. Another item, dropped at a very high rate by a mid level monster is similarly expensive, going often around 5k. The last time I played the game I hunted the monster that drops them for experience, because it's an easy kill for a ranged character, seeing as it can't move. It's crazy how much people apparently are willing to pay for simple convenience, and not having to hunt it themselves.

That site usually has good mirrors for most videos. Youtube is about the worst site for watching anime...
