They jam a needle inside him and pump in adrenaline to try and get his heart to start up again but it fails.

she then put his hand down gently and follow the doctor.

The doctor sighs and looks inside at Zeron.
"Miss... we do not have the means to treat him for this... to be exact... there is no treatment for his condition... we suspect that he wont make it through this... he will possibly die soon... and there is nothing that can be done to stop this... he simply gave up to much of his life force to try and save that girl in the other room... I am terribly sorry..."
