Only because they haven't seen the destruction the humans have done." She still had a feeling this kid was a human, and her hunches were usually right.

Makoto smiled to herself. She had heard the 'w' in 'we' and she knew she was right. This guy in front of her was a human. The question is, how did he become a merman?
"And how would you know? Do you read minds? Have you talked to a human before?" Makoto asked Travis. "Or were you one before?"
