Victor backed down and looked Mary over with distaste, and followed Skuld.

Once Skuld and Victor turned the corner of the alleyway and was close to another street, "Kaine's in trouble. Remember when he was acting a bit dodgy when we walked in? What we just saw wasn't quite what it appeared to be."
The mage pulled out a palm-sized silver mirror, "I'm about to teleport Kaine to us, since I planted that vial on him. Vic, get ready to call a cab."
The redhead quietly cast the spell just under her breath, and Kaine suddenly appeared right beside Skuld. She, in turn, grabbed Kaine's arm, "No time to argue, Kaine. Let's go."

Kaine blinked. One second Mary had turned her attention back to him, the next he was standing on the street. He felt someone grab his arm and glanced over to find Skuld standing beside him. He opened his mouth to say something, then closed it after thinking better of it. He was free for the time being, so there wasn't anything to complain about. He took a quick nervous glance down the street, then followed after Skuld and Victor.

Shadow continued searching around the City, both by actually looking and via spiders when she stopped to take a breather. There was still nothing. This was impossible. Even with the extra help she had with checking dozens of areas at one time, there was no way she’d be able to check an entire city within a day. Let alone…was there three major ones here now? And that wasn’t counting all of the places outside the city limits where that creature could have taken Warp. She needed to use her Shadows to find him. It would be the easiest and fastest way to.
She needed help. But she couldn’t say anything or the creature would supposedly know. So all she could do, was continue running around and searching…and hope that she found Warp in time.

Gold Star gingerly made her way out the window of a Hardware Store that had been closed for the day. She’d made sure the security was off, teleported what she needed back to her school….but decided it would be a bit more interesting to manually get in and out of the store rather than just teleporting.
Alright, so, all she needed now was to raid an electronics store and….huh? Someone had just lept across the rooftop across from her….supposed that her work could wait while she snooped for a bit.
With a small smile, she floated out of the alley way and up towards the rooftops to see what else she could get into.

Typhoid Mary had just turned her attention back to Kain, when she suddenly found absolutely nothing but a brick wall in front of her. She blinked, took a step back, and looked around. Finding nothing, she smiled to herself and placed her hands on her hips. ”Well, well…looks like someone’s made off with my new escort. And I bet I know just who it was.” she said to herself, glancing down the alley Skuld and Victor had come up. ”We’ll see just how much the fat man likes his newest employee after I have a little talk with him.” she said with a smile, turning and heading back for Fisk’s building.

Victor hailed a cab and motioned for Skuld and Kaine to get in, shutting the door behind him and wrapping his arm around Skuld. "Well, that was odd. I have a bad feeling about that one." He said quietly.

Skuld leaned into Victor's embrace, "Me too, honey. Me too. Kaine, since we just stuck our necks out for you, could you explain what you're doing with Typhoid Mary?"

 Kain sighed heavily a moment. "I had to report back to the boss yesterday. When I went up to meet with him, Mary...erm, Typhoid was there to work for him again. He had me give her a few smaller jobs to do until he had a larger opening for her." he replied. "She's...ah...she followed me home. Hasn't left me alone other than to do her other jobs."

Skuld slapped her hand over her face and groaned, "Terrific. Just bloody wonderful. I bellieve I need an ibuprofen... make that two."

Skuld shrugged, "We could..," then she suddenly bolted upright looked right at Kaine, "What about your daughter?"

Kaine ran his hand through his hair. "I had our neighbor watch her last night. Her neice was over so they had a sleep over. They do a lot when I have night shifts." he replied. "Mary already met her. I told her that we had to go over some details for her job. It was the only excuse I could come up with." he replied. Typhoid wasn't his type at all. Why he even let her...there was just something about the woman. Maybe she had other powers. He didn't really know her that well, but...he just couldn't say no to her.
