I am kinda upset with square enix now days though. the quality of the story within the games has been lacking by alot. Has anyone else noticed this and not just me becuase I know that 1-9 had great stories but from 10-2 on they were down hill.
10 is the turning point it was good but they put to much into graphics and not enough into the side stories. i felt that the game kinda said go do the main story and play mini games nothing else.
Like in 7 (Bad example because it had soooooo much story) you could spend a whole month doing nothing but going to mysterious places and find new things out.

Kefka was one crazy SOB. I think he was one of the better bad guys but for some reason he never made my list of favorites

Jinei- I agree with you, stories have been really lacking. Which is why I prefer the older games. Any of the older ones that are reissued or anything I am running to get them. I would love to see a remake on Seven for like the PSP or even Eight for that matter.
Kefka is my FAVORITE baddie. He trumps them all. Out of all of the baddies that tried to attain godhood, only ONE attained it, that was Kefka!

Wait shadow is open?
I would say can I have but I dont think I would play a good shadow though he is awesome and I have played him before. It was in a mixed rpo with like elements of all games/anime/real life and anything else you could think of in it.
He started as himself but then went on to become infected with Jenova cells and get a dragoon spirit from (Lod).
Oh btw if you like games with good stories pick up a copy of Xenogears came out at the same time as ff7 so most people didnt pick it up. it was one of my favorite games ever and has a good story.

Kefka and Sephiroth were the only two bad guys i can think of that actually came within sight of there goals
kefka was a very realistic villan. i mean poisoning the enemys water supply only a real life villan would think of some stuff like that.
Sephiroth was not really the main bad guy in my eyes actually he really wasnt a bad guy at all in my book. He was just some guy with mommy doesnt love me issues so he went out of his way to prove that he would do anything to attain her affection.
All he really needed was a hug. *hugs sephiroth, Is cut into by masamune before he can get clone enough to hug him*

lol, I own Xenogears. Love that one too. I prefer to play Emeralda, so cute and innocent, easily corrupted by Krelian. Also got the Xenosagas, that one I love to play Momo in or t-elos.
LoD is another awesome game, loved the story in it s well. > - > prefer Rose. @ _ @ See too many characters I have or had rped with.

The Shinigami Girl lol, I own Xenogears. Love that one too. I prefer to play Emeralda, so cute and innocent, easily corrupted by Krelian. Also got the Xenosagas, that one I love to play Momo in or t-elos. Xenosaga lacked the link between the games was my only problem with it. the link between the end and the begining of Xenogears should have been very clear. Kos-Mos Jin uzuki, and Chaos Lod was good I only wished there was more of it like a prequel where rose darts dad and the orignal dragoons were the main characters. Dart, Rose, Lavits(or the prince) My paties for those games. Why did square have to seel the rights to Xenogears, immagine Xenosaga as made by square enix.

Yea it was lacking but... the story in the game was still cool.
All the guys from that game are pretty cool. Jin, chaos, Ziggy, Albedo, Rubedo and Nigredo. I actually played Rubedo and Nigredo once.
Always wanted to see game that started off with Rose, Shirley, Zieg, Belzac, Syuveil, Kanzas and Damia.
