╔══════════════╗ ¤*Inari Amarante*¤ ╚══════════════╝ Lin was just leaving for a breath of fresh air, there was nothing wrong with that. She would be maybe five minutes and then she would be back in the restaurant, they could finish eating and then go back to the hotel for the night. Inari took a deep breath as she finished chewing the last bite she had in her mouth while Lin was talking, she didn’t want to talk with her mouth full so she waited and put her finger up waiting to say something. By the time she had swallowed the bite however Lin was already on her way out the door. She leaned back and sighed, “Oh well, I guess I will just tell her once she comes back inside.” Wiping her mouth with a napkin she continued to nibble away as she looked around the place. The music was great, the band was really talented, but that was what the sound was known for wasn’t it. As she turned she saw a man leave after Lin. Something about that didn’t sit right with her, she wasn’t going to cause a scene just because someone followed her out. Inari knew there was creeps out there who would love to take advantage of a petite girl like Lin after she had been drinking.
Looking around to the other side of her she saw a familiar shuck of red hair and knew immediately who it was. As she stood up she wobbled on account of the alcohol and shook her head, taking a deep breath she recognized another familiar feature, her Nodachi. Walking over she stumbled a couple of times and gathered her legs again. She swooped down and got the boy in a headlock. “Adell Temuri! What in the world are you doing in the Hidden Sound.” She ruffled his hair and sat down opposite the table of him, “I thought those space crabs would have got you for sure! No offense.” She smiled and rested her head on the table, “This has been a long night… I just want Lin to come back so I can go to bed.” In her mind there was a million things going through it, starting with that man who followed Lin out. Regularly it shouldn’t have bothered her, but for some reason she couldn’t shake the feeling that it was bad news for Lin and Inari both. The reuniting of her and Adell wouldn’t be such a bad thing either, his performance in the Hidden Mist Village was valiant, he covered their escape after all. His abilities as a ninja were showcased in the battle with the space crabs, and his bravery by the way he stood up to the two rain ninja, no matter whos side they ended up being on. He had the potential to be a powerful ninja, and for some reason she knew that they would end up one day having to settle some sort of score. She had a mind that could predict events of the future, it wasn’t a power or a jutsu, she just used her mind to be able to vaguely predict the events of the future based on the events of the past and the current patterns of what was happening in the present. It was a lot of knowledge but it was based on the fact that the past can show us the future.
Lifting her head up and resting it on her hand she looked across the table at the young Temuri, “Adell, what are your ambitions as a ninja? You must have something you want to accomplish? Maybe you want to be one of the Seven Legendary Swordsmen of the mist… of the Mizukage.” She closed her eyes and thought about what she knew of her father, “Maybe you have someone’s footsteps you are travelling in, trying to catch up to someone.” She bit her bottom lip and her eyes began to well up under her eyelids, “no matter what it is, be sure to follow it and your heart. Where ever it may lead you is most likely the path you are supposed to take. You seem like a passionate ninja, which is an admirable trait.” Her voice began to break up, nothing that the kid would have noticed but she knew she was near crying. Putting her head back down on the table she sneakily rubbed her eyes and yawned. “I am going to go back to my table and finish the food I ordered, feel free to bring your drink over and join me if you’d like while I wait for Lin.” She had hardly given him any time to answer any questions at all, she thought he would have time to think of answers if he chose to join her at her table, if not, he would at least have something to think about while he sat there. She stood up and brushed her pants off. Walking over to her own table she sat down again and looked out the window seeing if she could see Lin. Sighing when she couldn’t she suddenly realized that something wasn’t right about all of this. There was something going on, and whatever it was would turn out to be big.

Adell Terumi, THE GREATEST NINJA IN THE WORLD, wanna-be... He scarfed down his food loudly, as he continued, looking up and around him. He brought his eyes back towards the man from before. Looking at him now, something was off about him, but he couldn't tell what. He hadn't seen Lin leave, but he could see the man leaving. For now however, Adell focused on finishing his meal. Finish it quickly, he did. What had once been a mountain of food, was now and empty plate. He grabbed his soda and sipped on it. He heard footsteps. Before he could react though, he suddenly found a set of soft arm's wrapped around him forcing him forward. He gasped in surprise. He brought his gaze to her while she held him, and blushed lightly. It was Inari Amarante, of all people. His surprised face quickly turned into a smile as she spoke to him. “Adell Temuri! What in the world are you doing in the Hidden Sound?" He closed his eyes as she ruffled his hair, before looking to her now, sitting across from him. He was about to say, before she interrupted him. “I thought those space crabs would have got you for sure! No offense.” She smiled, her head on the table as she gazed at him. He scratched his head, blushing lightly as he tried to say confidently. "Those crabs they were nothing but push..." Again, before he could finish, she began speaking again. “This has been a long night… I just want Lin to come back so I can go to bed.” Just looking at her, she seemed almost drunk. He could smell the alcohol on her breathe. Unlike Inari, even through her intoxication, though, Adell didn't think so much about predicting things, nor did he put effort in his mind in thinking of all that happened. He had beat the crabs, he had finished his training, and he had managed to catch up with the lovely Inari. In his mind that was all that mattered. She again raised he head. She asked him a most interesting question, “Adell, what are your ambitions as a ninja? You must have something you want to accomplish? Maybe you want to be one of the Seven Legendary Swordsmen of the mist… of the Mizukage.” She closed her eyes at the end of the question. Adell began, "Well I..." For a third time, she had interrupted him. “Maybe you have someone’s footsteps you are travelling in, trying to catch up to someone.” She was biting her lip. almost as if she were upset. “no matter what it is, be sure to follow it and your heart. Where ever it may lead you is most likely the path you are supposed to take. You seem like a passionate ninja, which is an admirable trait.” Her voice was agitated, almost as if it were about to sob. How much had she had to drink. She lowered her head again to the table, rubbing her eyes and yawning. “I am going to go back to my table and finish the food I ordered, feel free to bring your drink over and join me if you’d like while I wait for Lin.” He slowly nodded to her. He would need a moment to think. She had asked so much, yet he was left little time to answer. She stood up then, brushing herself off, and his eyes followed her as she walked back to her table, where she sat down and watched the window nearby. Adell stood up quickly his soda in hand and walked to her. He didn't sit across from her but next to her, as he faced her, smiling determinedly. He began, prepaed to answer all of her questions. "Inari...I" He took a deep breathe. "I am here, because I beat the space crabs, who by the way, were complete push-overs really..." He said, despite the fact that they did put him to the test. "...and, I completed the training I needed to. And, you had offered me to come with you. So I came here, along the path to Hidden blood, to find you." He said, with a smile, blushing visibly, as he scratched his head. He continued. "My Ambitions, aren't something as low as the Legendary swordmen, or the Mizukage. I intend to rise above them, and above even the kage of each of the seven villages. I intend to be one of the..." He paused for a moment, shaking his head, "...No, THE greatest Ninja in history. As for footsteps...I guess the only one whose footsteps I am following, is... well, yours." He said with another flow of blush. "And thank you, for everything you've said and done for me." He then took out the blade, her blade, He moved to hand it to her. "Here, you asked to find you and return it to you, right?" He then glanced around, remembering she said something about Lin, and waiting for her. "Where is Lin?" ╔══════════════╗ ¤*Inari Amarante*¤ ╚══════════════╝ He was clearly interested in Inari, the way he looked at her and the look on his face gave it away. All of the feelings that he had for a woman he hardly knew anything about. It’s not like she even really knew all about herself, how could he even know enough about her to be this enamored by her. She felt a little guilty for cutting him off so many times. But he could have really waited until she was finished talking, that was what was widely accepted after all. Either way he was adorable the way he was so attracted to her, she had a fairly high opinion of herself, but it was mostly because of her mind. Her looks and attitude she had always thought could use some work, but if someone could like it then she wasn’t really too worried about it. Apparently she was more desirable than she thought. As she looked across the table at the young Mist Ninja she noticed just how much he looked at her and blushed when he did so. The thought was more than flattering. Despite everything that was going on in her mind about Lin being in trouble she didn’t even really worry about anything except why he was so interested in her. Her confidence was high but it wasn’t about to be blown out of proportion by some adoring kid.
When he slid the blade out to her she looked at it with her eyes widened. It wasn’t her blade to begin with, it was a hand me down sword from her mother, she said it had belonged to her mentor and that when she found someone who she thought deserved to wield it that she would give it up accordingly. She was quiet as she looked longingly at the blade, placing her hand on it she pushed it back towards Adell, “Look, I gave this to you. I want you to keep it, with everything that has been going on….” Pausing she looked up again, opening her hand for him to take the blade, “I don’t think I will need a sword, my desire has always been to be able to defeat whoever I could with my own two hands.” She laid the sword down on the table and rested her head back in her hands. She took another sip of her drink, finishing it off. She closed her eyes as she finished the bitter taste of the drink, she looked to see if it was still her glass she was drinking out of, the drink tasted so much more sour. Lying back on the ground she had started to feel very woozy, perhaps someone had put something in her drink, could it have been Adell? Whatever it was it was making her think that she really wasn’t going to make it back to the hotel. She couldn’t feel most of her body let alone move it, as she tried to speak nothing came out. Slowly her eyes got heavy as she tried as much as she could to keep them open.
She woke up in a courtyard, it was the courtyard of the manor that they had owned before their father left them. She was wearing training gear and as she stood up realized that she stood opposite of her father. It wasn’t like a dream, it was like she was living this dream, it felt so real. Looking down she noticed that she didn’t have the same body as she did before, she was a child again, only in body, she still possessed her strong mind and knowledge of ninjutsu and skills that she had gained as an adult. It hardly felt like a dream though, it had seemed more like a memory. “Inari, you need to realize that the things I do and the people that I work with are only out to bring peace to the world. Whatever you may hear from your mother or anybody else, just remember that. We will bring peace to the world through strength and power, do you want to see that power Inari? Would you like to see just how strong you must become before you can reach my level Inari?” holding a bamboo sword in his hand he gripped it tight as he gave Inari a chance to answer, “I don’t know what it is you want with me, but I know that my dad left me a long time ago, this is a dream and I know you aren’t real you can’t hurt me. But if you real are in some way connected to my dad, will you tell me where you are… he is… whatever.” Her voice had regressed years, she was in the eight year old body of herself, still getting a feel for fighting and everything else that came with growing up. She didn’t think that he could hurt her in a dream, or memory, or whatever this was. The longer she was here the more real it felt. Her father took a step towards her, and then in an instant appeared behind her again.
“Hm, I was wondering when I would have to have this conversation with you. In case you were wondering, this is a manifestation of my chakra, left behind to explain to you just what exactly happened to me.” He turned to her and grabbed her shoulder, in that instant she reverted back to her older self, her current self. “That would be much obliged old man, first, how are you even here. There is no way chakra can create an image like this, unless its some sort of Genjutsu.” She took a few steps forward and looked around at her surroundings all of them were so real and lifelike, but perhaps this was just her former home as she remembered it. Her father scratched his head, he looked a lot more like Inari than her mother ever did. He was a tall darker skinned man with short blonde hair, similar to the legendary ninja from the Cloud, which was probably why she was so interested in heading there. “Well a Genjutsu is close to what it is yeah. It is a piece of chakra I branded you with as a child, the mark on your forehead will allow me to speak with you from time to time, when the chakra I implanted runs out, or whenever I feel like you don’t need me anymore,” he snapped his fingers, “like that, gone.” He walked closer to her and stood next to her, “the organization that I was a part of is called the Akatsuki. Long story short they were created to bring peace to the world. Though misunderstood due to our thoughts that the end really did justify the means, we really did want to bring peace. This will simply be another generation of the Akatsuki, the first, created by three legendary ninja named Nagato, Konan, and Yahiko ended a long time ago. Now they are in the process of rebuilding once again to bring peace once again to a land covered in turmoil and hatred.” He was next seen in a robe, “Those dressed in this attire are part of the Akatsuki organization, these people are your friends, your allies. Whatever may happen in the future, you will be protected by the Akatsuki, you will be sheltered and defended by the red cloud that embodies our organization. I implore you, search out the Akatsuki, join their ranks, and bring peace to the world of the shinobi. I will be watching you Inari.” Inari looked towards her father, dressed in his cloak, looking proud and incredibly powerful, simply because of a change of outfit, as he began to fade Inari got her final words in. “I understand, I will do so father. Fare thee well.” She bowed and her entire dream world began to fade out.
Opening her eyes slowly she woke up in the bar, it had seemed like only moments had passed. It would seem like she had just blinked for a second. She had felt instantly sobered by the vision of her father that she had, as if she hadn’t drank anything for hours. Adell had just continued talking, talking about how he cared about how much she had done for him, when again she hadn’t really done anything to make him appreciate her so much. Really, what was it that she did? Nothing, she gave him a sword that she had never really used, and gave him advice that she had heard years ago, she hadn’t even remembered where she heard it. As he finished she took a deep breath as she sat up, “Adell, you have a dream. You have to follow that dream whatever it takes. For me, I haven’t even began to realize what my dream was. I’m just a kid to, just a young girl trying to find my way in life. I’m simply trying to figure out my way in life, following my fathers path.” He talked about following in her footsteps, “I hadn’t really done anything to deserve you following me around. My father is a great hero in my life.” She reached over the table and touched his shoulder, “Lin is outside getting a breath of fresh air, nothing too major, she will be back I’m sure. And I actually have an offer for you, although I won’t allow you to follow in my footsteps,” she took her hand from his shoulder and wiped the hair from her eyes, “I would gladly accept you as my peer though, not my follower. Adell Terumi, THE GREATEST NINJA IN THE WORLD, wanna-be... Adell just looked to her as she looked back at him, blushing ever-so-lightly. Her eyes moved to the blade that he had pushed out towards her to take back. He didn't really know much about the history of the blade. But he was thankful that she had given it to him. It was her offer to follow her, and her giving to him of that blade that drove him to leave the mist village and head off on this new adventure, to learn more, and most of all, gain strength, influence, and fame. He gentle hand moved to the sword and pushed it back to him. He looked from down at it, to up at her. She told him, “Look, I gave this to you. I want you to keep it, with everything that has been going on….” Her hand opened and slowly he reached his out, while she continued, “I don’t think I will need a sword, my desire has always been to be able to defeat whoever I could with my own two hands.” She let the sword down on the table, as he took it and slowly raised it up, while she leaned back with her hands behind her head. He responded, smiling to her with glee, "I see. Thank you. I will hold onto this blade, and wield it for you. I will prove myself with it and my axe, and bring a new level of honor to it." He placed the blade on his back, watching as she drank her alcohol, closing her eyes for a moment before looking to the glass. As he watched her, she seemed out of it. Was she drunk? She seemed to fall asleep before him. A few moments later, she had awakened. It was strange to say the least. She seemed more awake now then before she had closed her eyes. She took a deep breathe before responding to all that he had said. “Adell, you have a dream. You have to follow that dream whatever it takes. For me, I haven’t even began to realize what my dream was. I’m just a kid to, just a young girl trying to find my way in life. I’m simply trying to figure out my way in life, following my fathers path. I hadn’t really done anything to deserve you following me around. My father is a great hero in my life.” He frowned lightly, but then felt her hand as he was placed on his shoulder reassuringly, making his blush a bit. “Lin is outside getting a breath of fresh air, nothing too major, she will be back I’m sure. And I actually have an offer for you, although I won’t allow you to follow in my footsteps,” She said, wiping the hair from her eyes, with the hand she had held him with. “I would gladly accept you as my peer though, not my follower. What do you say kid?” Adell's frown began to disappear with her last words, and his eyes brightened. "Of course... I would love... to be considered by you as a friend, an ally, and an equal." He smiled to her softly. Her thoughts were a bit sporadic, not following a specific train of thought for longer than a few seconds. But the fresh air was certainly helping her. It was relaxing her stomach which felt like it was being flipped around inside of her. And was slowly waking her up. She let out a soft sigh thinking to herself 'This is why I don't drink.' She would have been better off skipping out on the second one. It was probably because she drank so fast that she felt so sick. She pushed herself up to stand straight up and peered in to the restaurant through the window. She saw Inari placing Adell in a headlock. She didn't even notice Adell had made his way to hidden sound. She was glad to see he was okay. The last she saw him he was fighting the space crabs off in the mist of hidden mist village. At least he was here now, safe and sound. She smiled at the sight of those two. It seems they were getting along pretty well. She sighed as she placed her hand on the glass for a moment, breathing heavy. What was she doing? She couldn't be sitting here relaxing, drinking and having fun like this. She slowly turned and began to walk away, her hand slipping off of the glass as she did.
A piece of paper slipped out from underneath her sleeve. She held it in her left palm and placed her right hand over it. Letters and then words began to appear on the piece of paper. 'Inari, sorry for my actions. I am taking a walk around the outskirts of town for a bit to clear my thoughts. I will be back later; don't wait up for me I am not sure what time I will be getting back. Thank you for the evening. Sorry I didn't stay longer; I owe you a nice dinner. Also tell Adell I'm glad to see he is okay, and hope he travels with us.

She put her hand up and let the paper float away from her. It didn't float like a normal piece of paper in the wind. This one was on a mission, following the Chakra aura that Inari emitted. It locked on to her and made its way towards her. It slipped under the crack of the restaurant and floated down to Inari, landing on the table next to her. Hopefully Inari would notice it so she could read it. She wouldn't want her to be nervous about Lin's whereabouts for the night.
She walked around the streets of sound. She needed to find a place that was high up to make it easier for her paper to sense her next targets chakra. But where would that spot be. She wandered and wandered around the village looking for somewhere to write and send off her next message. After walking past various buildings which seemed tall enough they weren't practical. She would have to break in to get to the top of the building. She would have to find a spot that was accessible to her without having to do something illegal. That is when she saw it. Over one of the buildings she was able to see off in the distance a hill with a tree sitting atop of it. She quickly made her way towards that direction, exiting the villages limits walking towards the hill. She reached the foot of the tall hill and began to ascend it. She reached the top and pulled another piece of paper out she placed her hand over it as letters and words began to appear on the paper. 'I don't know if you will even get this. Or if you are even there anymore. But it's worth a shot, I hope you receive this message. I am in hidden sound village I came looking for you and got lost on the way...' As she was writing the message she felt something that sent chills down her spine. Someone was following her, and it wasn't Inari or Adell. Someone else. It was similar to the feeling she had when she first reached hidden sound village. She turned on her heel to face whoever it was that was stalking her. 'So Ame please hurry to Hidden Sound. Something terrible is about to happen. Please hurry.'
"What do you want from me? Why are you following me?" She spoke to whoever it was that was following her. She didn't like the feeling she was getting. Something terrible was indeed about to happen. She put her hand up and let the message float away. It darted away from the two that stood atop the hill hopefully it could successfully relay her message.

The sand impacted the paper, scratching away at it, the sound of the sand being deflected audible in the silent night. Her defense worked, but she was now surrounded by sand, which began to move. From the sand rose multiple sand clones that immediately began to make their way towards her. How was she going to destroy sand? She whipped her head from left to right watching as more and more clones popped up and began to creep ever closer. What could she do? She couldn't run, and she had no help. She wished Ame was here right now. She needed him.
"This is what I was feeling when I arrived here...." This assassin was not playing around, and she wasn't prepared skill wise enough for this. She may be in over her head. And even if she was able to beat him, her being intoxicated isn't going to help her win. The paper that was above her disassembled and floated down circling around her, before stopping abruptly. She reached out and began plucking pieces of paper out of the air and crumpling them placing tags on each. She released them throwing one at each of the clones. The paper, once close would explode causing the paper to shatter into multiple tiny sharp edges, cutting away at the clones. She wasn't sure how it would fair against sand, but she wasn't going to go down without a fight.

He looked at the paper fly. He only frowned as he looked at those.. they reminded him of her. Of everything he went through with her. He only rose his hands in the air. He winced a bit as each of the paper shards cut through his clones. He could feel each pain going through the clones. He heard her ask..did they have too.. They both could walk away. IT never worked like that. Never. He licked his bottom lip and he he let the sand pour off his hands.

Satasuri said as he pointed his hand towards the floating bits of paper that were coming towards him. He created small bits of sand that seem to fly at a faster rate. However they were clumps of clay. As the clumps of clay got close to the pieces of paper they would explode trying to set the paper on fire and do damage to her. He wasn't even trying to regenerate. The paper damage showed on his skin. He bled sand..because he was sand. The explosion blew pieces of him. However he just sat there. Her attack seemed to just help that causing blowing more bits of sand in to the air. It looked like it would be impossible to contain the sand, giving him an advantage since she was surrounded. His next attack was already on the way after her small paper explosions took place. It seemed he was throwing clay at her. She shifted about six feet to the right, her entire body was split apart, making up millions and millions of sheets of paper. The clay he threw at her connecting with the very tail end of the paper trail she left behind. It was a pretty intense explosion, completely torching the paper she left behind. When she reassembled the paper that made up her left hand was missing. That must have been the paper that got burnt up by the explosion.
"I don't know if I can win this...." She said quietly to herself. She looked up to the sky. She was completely surrounded by sand, death standing in front of her. Then she felt something so familiar, so normal. It brought her back to Hidden Rain, to Ame. The sky was crying for her, rain began to slowly fall until it became a heavy downpour. It was her trap, and her one move she had left. If it worked she lived, if it failed, she would be dead. She raised her hand up and closed it, each piece of paper exploding around him. Her last move would be to throw the long sword like paper weapons into the explosion. Once they entered they caused the explosion to grow larger each one blowing up upon entry. She felt her chakra completely drained as she fell to the ground. Once she landed the wings dissipated, and formed to her torso reassembling and making her legs once again. Rain has always been a single color to me...
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ It wasn't pure coincidence that Ame was traveling close the Sound Village, on his way back from the Hidden Nightmare, an ironic name considering that a nightmare was what he felt he was in, when he got Lin's message. Ame, a seemingly adept shinobi, was caught off guard when he noticed the paper floating towards him. It smelled of Lin. The same faint and beautiful smell that made him smile instinctively. Pulling one of his eyes free from behind the ninja headband that was hanging on his face. His left eye was freed from the dark prison and it stared down upon a simple white parchment. Too anyone else, it wasn't much to be happy about, but after what Ame had been through in the past week, he felt as if he had reached home. It was a welcomed feeling that he hadn't had in a long, long time. For a while, he continued walking, staring down at the white paper, running his hands over it. It was fresh, meaning that it was just recently sent, and if it was just recently sent, then that meant that Lin was close, and that he was close to the Hidden Sound. That was appealing. So appealing. He could imagine her face, and the feeling of having her around. He choked slightly, feeling a sense of loneliness. Lin had a larger hold on his emotions than he expected. A larger hold than she should have. But then again, why should she? She was the one girl that he had fallen for, so deeply. She must have been furious with him, after he left so suddenly and without word. Would she forgive him when he got there? He sure hoped so. Oh man, this would be bad. This would be a disaster. He hoped she would understand.
A deep sigh escaped his lips. Now he really didn't want to read the letter. IT was probably full of anger and words unkind to him. But, he would never know unless he actually opened it and peered at the contents. With that in mind, Ame took one last deep breath, stopped dead in his tracks and slowly started to pull back the paper, peeling it open. He made it half way before he noticed a dot appear on the paper, and then another one, and another, and soon he felt the rain start falling heavily. Randomly. A spike of uneasiness hit his stomach like a fist full of iron. Ame doubled over, taken aback by the sudden surge of worry and angst. What was happening? His feelings were never wrong, but there was no danger around, was there? So? What could be the matter? Ame bit his lower lip, his single eye narrowing down at the paper. After repositioning himself upright, Ame tore the paper open and read the contents. So. Lin was in the Hidden Sound, that was an elation. But. She felt as if something was going to happen? Was she in danger? Was someone targeting her? Was this to deal with Chaos? What exactly was going on? Was he targeting those who was closest to the ninja who fought him? Regardless of all of that? Lin was in danger! She needed him! Why did she move from the Hidden Mist! Agh.
Ame dropped the paper in the mud, sprinting onward. He had to hurry or else Lin would surely end up dying. This was the reason for his uneasy feeling. She was in danger, not him. How could Ame be so stupid. He should have just taken Lin with him! She would have been safer in his care than if she were to be by herself. He knew this. Yet he went against his gut instinct and just ignored his feelings. He tried to keep her safe, and yet he put her in more danger than she needed to be. How could he be so stupid. Ame! You idiot! You are a stupid idiot! If she dies, it would be your fault! All your fault! Ame mentally berated himself. And by all means, he should be berating himself even worse than that. He started to pick up the pace, noticing that everything was going by faster. Pushing chakra into his feet, Ame made sure he maxed his speed. With balled fists, he continued on. Ame could see the village gates in the distance, but didn't pay attention to the branch on the ground, obviously from the wind. Tripping, he slid into the ground. Getting up quickly, Ame cursed and pushed himself into a sprint once again, all the while praying that Lin was alright and he was just getting over worked for nothing.
Ame slid into the gates, startling the guards there. He had no time to deal with them. He was too busy to actually stop and present his credentials. The headband would have to be sufficient at that moment. A shiver spurred itself down Ame's back, and he shuddered to a stop in the middle of a street. Where would he find her? This would be impossible. He would have to stop at a bar and inn, or a restaurant. Something that he knew would attract her attention. Ame sprinted and came to a halt in the first tavern he saw. Bursting in the door, he startled the occupants. Ame scanned the room, and when he saw that she wasn't there, he cursed and continued his search elsewhere. Ame did this for a while until he came across on building in which he spotted Inari and Adell. The two Mist shinobi! They would DEFINITELY know where she was. Inari was in charge of taking care of Lin. If she lost Lin...he would have to kill her. And Ame wasn't joking. Not at all. Anger welled up in his stomach, and he lurched forward. "Inari! Where the hell is Lin? Where is she, now?! he hollered. Many of the occupants turned to stare at him, some giving him a glare, others looking in surprise. He couldn't give a care, seeing as he had bigger fish to fry.
Before Inari could have even spoken, a large explosion shook the very foundation of the building. Ame's eyes narrowed, and his gut flipped. Turning on his heel, he shot out of the building. Tears welled up in his eyes. No. This couldn't be happening. Not to him. Not now. This only happened to other people. Other ninja. Not him. Not Ame. Billows of smoke arose from a hill directed to the south a little bit, and that was where Ame headed. "Lin...please....please don't be reckless...please be safe..." he said to himself, hurrying a great deal. A very great deal. People whirled past him, in droves. He dodged, weaved, ducked, and lept over people. Never stopping. It took him a while, but he finally got to the point where the smoke was rising so close to where he was. At the base of the hill. Ame stopped, panting, and leaned on his knees. He was tried, very tired. He had been sprinting for what seemed like forever, and he still had a while to go before he got to Lin, or where he thought Lin would be.
Ame pushed up the hill, every step digging a trench of fear in his stomach. Every step a battle in itself. What would he find once he reached the top? Who would be there? Could Lin just be practicing? That had to be it? Ame was in denial at this point. He had put everything into the fact that nothing was wrong. It couldn't be. Lin meant to much to him for her to die. He wouldn't believe that she would die on him now. She knew that he needed her. She knew that she was destined to be a Kage. He told her he would help her! He promised! Dammit! Ame always kept his promises! What would this say about him? As a person? As a man? As a shinobi? He couldn't save his best friend, his comrade, his fellow Shinobi. The thought of failure hung on his torso every time he took a step. It was like he was marching to his own funeral tune. Himself being the single coached procession that took him to his grave. Ame would gladly give up his own life to let Lin live. He didn't want to imagine a life where he would have to live without her.
It didn't take long before he cleared the crest of the hill, and saw the smoked strewn battlefield. He couldn't, at first make out the body of anyone up there. And for that moment, he was afraid he made it too late, until he saw a slim figure, with a bow, and long golden locks, standing off centered to the crater. The woman seemed tired, stressed, battle weary. She looked as if she had undergone a lot of damage, and that things were getting worse for her. Like she had nothing left. Sand covered the place, and it was suffocating to him. It felt to weird for him to take a step, as if it were labored. But that didn't stop him. "Lin! Lin...is that you?" he called out, taking a step towards the figure he saw before him. It looked so much like Lin, but it didn't. Lin wasn't sad. She wasn't at all. But, Lin looked ashen right now. Calm, but ashen. Why? Reaching out, he took another step, getting closer and closer to her. Was she alright? He was afraid she wasn't. He was afraid of anything at that moment. "Lin? talk to me...Lin...." he repeated, worry creeping into his voice.
Ame Hirro had made it too his comrades aid, but too late. Though, he didn't know that. The rain had never stopped, as it kept pouring on him. It is funny how you don't notice the small details until it's too late, like the fact that this was the first time Ame had seen 'Scarlet Rain'.

Boom. Death. Blood. Rain.
Everything had happened so quick. Everything happened so fast. He watched the sand particles form on her. He watched his sand start to form on her.. However he wasn't being as careful as he could have been. He walked a bit further and it set off her trap. HE heard her talk about that the rain would take revenge for her.
"I hope it does.."
He slowly muttered. As he said that.. His body was blown to pieces. However Sand started to leak from every pore of her body. He would capitalize on the Siamese Jutsu and reform himself inside of her. The Sand would start to fall out of her eyes and eventually his body would come pouring out of her mouth. HE exited out of her and stood there slowly. Her blood soaked in his sand. Her essence soaked into his body. He stood there looking up at the Moon. He watched the rain falling onto his sand skin. He placed his hand on her now dead body. He was feeling a bit weaker. He lost a lot of sand and chakra.. She kept blowing pieces of him off. He slowly started to walk off the rooftops.
"I am sorry that I had to kill you.. It was just business."
The one thing he could never get used..to killing. He taken so many lives. He held the destiny of so many ninjas in his hands. He just took another one. He needed to rest. He needed to regain his strength. He stopped to see the other Ninja getting close to Lin. He shook his head no.
"You don't want to see her like this.."
He said in a grim voice.(x2)

Rain has always been a single color to me...
▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Sand was coming out of her. Sand was exiting her body. Exiting! Blood stained the sand. The swirls of blood red and golden sand was evident, making it easy to see that Ame had arrived to late. Lin's life was taken from him, and he could see it. He could literally see the soul and life getting drained out of the one thing he loved most in this world. This now god forsaken world in which he called home. Ame was to the point of disbelief. This had to be a sick and twisted reality, or dream, that he was stuck in. Something that would have come right out of a horror novel. Ame was watching his friend's death in a surreal moment that seemed like it lasted forever. For every grain of sand that past out of Lin's pores, Ame felt like he was frozen for an hour. His outstretched hand wavered momentarily, and he choked back a sob. Could this be the end? Truly? Was this what his life was destined for? For all their talk of protecting those closest to you and that of the village, they never really stated anything about when you failed to protect someone and watched them die by the hands of an enemy nin, right before your eyes. Ame was in that moment. That disdainful and painful moment.
Dropping to his knees, Ame looked at the soaked ground, listening to the rain pat the grass down around him. It was that stupid rain that had caused him to leave the village. That stupid rain that forced him to leave the village. That stupid rain that caused him to become a weapon. That stupid rain that caused him to push Lin to her limit. That stupid rain which taunted him now. Taunted HIM. Ame! Some sick and cruel god was staring down at him right now, and grinning through yellow, crooked teeth. Knowing full well how to pull the strings of Ame, the puppet. Ame was done with believing things had a purpose. There was no purpose for this needless killing. This needless idealism that caused Lin's life to be taken from him. There was no purpose to the battling and pain that was going on around the continent. There was no purpose to war and the way it is waged on this land. It's creatures bearing the fruits of battle. There was only one purpose, and that was peace. The same peace that Lin sought after. The same peace that kept pace with her beating heart. Her gentle and kind heart.
Ame squinted his eyes shut, tears billowing out of the sides. It was easy to tell the difference between the rain drops and his tears, seeing as his tears were warm, an ironic sensation. The tears flowed down his face in an alarming rate, a choked sob rumbling out of his mouth. Ame broke down onto all fours. His sobbing became louder and louder. The only thing running through his mind was that of the word pity, and pathetic. Failure wasn't far behind those terms, and it didn't take long before Ame started to pound the ground before him, screaming out his pain. Mud splattered up into his face, and after a while, he slowed down to a slow tapping of the ground in front of him. An imprint of his fist was visible on the ground. A moment passed, in which Ame just stared at the ground, his eyes burning from the tears, and then he looked up, staring at Lin's assailant. Her murderer. Her killer. His new found enemy. The poor nin had no idea what he just started. In one solid movement, he got up onto his feet once again, into a somber and relaxed fighting posture. Another choked back sob escaped his lips, and Ame's tears began to flow once more. The face of this enemy nin pissed him off now. The very being before him made him angry. The person he saw before him angered him to the point in which he saw nothing but revenge, and what he would do to the ninja once he got a solid hand hold on him. A solid and good hand hold.
'You don't want to see her like this...'
Those words. Those simple, and considerate words set him off. Of course Ame didn't want to see her like this. He didn't want to see his best friend in the mud, dead. Dead because of a meaningless battle. Dead before her dreams were fully lived out and dead before he could tell her how he truly felt about her. She was gone before Ame could totally level with how he felt about her over all the years they had grown up together. She was gone before he could have confessed his love. Confessed his true feelings. The special bond that they shared in a city in which bonds were rare. The strings that were interwoven over years of friendship were now severed. This b*****d had taken the only thing he held dear. Now, Ame would exact his revenge on him and make him pay for the mistake he made in targeting Lin. He would make sure that he would make this ninja squeal with pain as he put every ounce of his being into destroying his existence. Ame made a promise that he would make this guy feel his pain. His sorrow. His suffering. Whether it be for the same reason, or in the same manner, it didn't matter. The only thing that mattered was making him know Ame's pain. Ame's angst. Ame's new found sense of purpose.
The world was a dangerous place. That much was evident. But, it was going to get a whole lot more dangerous. Ame reached into his ninja pouch, pulled out three ninja stars and a smoke bomb. Holding them in between his fingers, the smoke bomb was placed between his middle and ring fingers, the ninja stars respectfully placed on either side of it. His other hand, his right hand, took out a kunai and pointed it at the ninja standing before him. "I. Will. Kill. You." was all that came out of his mouth before Ame threw his kunai at the enemy ninja. As the kunai flew at him, Ame strafed right, throwing the ninja stars at the 11, 10, and 9 o'clock positions of his enemy, and tossing the smoke ball with the 10 o'clock positioned ninja star. The only thing running through his mind was the possible moves of his enemy and the reactions he could have if his initial attacks failed. Of course, this was all just a ruse, and the kunai and ninja stars were never meant to score hits. Only draw him into the open in which Ame would have a better advantage.
Even though he was blinded with rage, Ame could clearly strategize his enemies demise. As he strafed right, Ame run up the side of a building that was located nearby, and lept off of it, shooting himself directly over the position in which he last saw the sand nin before he threw his smoke ball. Forming the necessary hand signs, Ame exclaimed in a loud voice "Water style: Stormy Blockade!" Sand became mud in water. So. That meant that the sand this ninja was using would have the same effect. He must be leaking chakra to keep himself malleable. With the wave of water falling from the sky, and aimed directly at the enemy ninja, Ame did one last thing. A technique he was taught by from his clan. The Muramasa clan. Hidden hooks no jutsu. It was a simple enough attack. In the sleeves of Ame's jacket were strings with hooks attached. As he fell back to earth after he cast his jutsu, he threw these at the sand ninja. As hard as he could, to bury them deep. If he succeeded, these hooks would lodge themselves into the body and pull the ninja to the ground, allowing him to take the full force of water wall heading towards him.
If all went well, the ninja should be dodging the kunai and shuriken to stay alive. Totally unaware of the jutsu flying towards him from the sky. Unaware of the hooked strings closing in on him, to bind him to the ground. Ame's plans were becoming more and more devious. They were taking the form of any painful attack he could muster up. This would become bloody before the end. And Ame swore on his life that he would kill this man before he left the battlefield. He would either die, or kill him now. That was the only option(s) he had at the moment, and that was what he would stick with. For Lin's honor.
I'm sorry Lin. I am so sorry. Please forgive him. I wish I had more time...more time to tell you...that... Ame couldn't finish the thought. It was too painful. Too recent. Too close. He didn't think he would walk away from this completely sane. The old Ame was dead. He could no longer keep on existing. A new Ame had to be born. An Ame born in combat, bred in pain, and living rancorously.

╔══════════════╗ ¤*Inari Amarante*¤ ╚══════════════╝ As the conversation between her and Adell continued she felt less and less intoxicated. Her mood was again turning sour however as she realized that Lin had been gone quite some time, there was no reason for her to be gone this long without and word or even seeing her. She was just going to get a breath of fresh air after all and was taking far too long. As she listened to Adell and his continually admiring words towards her, her confidence rose every time he spoke about her in such a beloved light. She had really not thought much of him, but the fact he thought all these great things about her was really adorable to be honest. She smiled after he told her how much he would enjoy travelling with her, it really wouldn’t be too bad at all to have such a devoted ninja having her back. Even though it seems bad to say this, at the very least, he would lay down his life for her. And that’s what she needed in an ally, something she would do for Lin, it would be great for her power as a ninja to have a great ally like Adell. She smiled and chuckled, reaching her hand across the table towards his she began to talk, “Adell, you are too much sometimes, you don’t have to talk to me with such adoration seriously. I’m just a woman, just the same as anyone else. There’s no reason to hold me on such a pedestal, or are you always this nice?” She withdrew her hand from his and brought it across the table, her eyes moved down as her hand felt something unfamiliar to the table. A piece of paper that she previously hadn’t noticed there sat on the table next to her plate, she picked it up with curious eyes. Reading over the note from Lin her eyes relaxed as she realized that Lin just went for a walk. “Lin’s ok, she saw you on her way out of the restaurant apparently, did you see her?” She reached into her wallet and placed a small bag of money on the table, “They can just keep the change, wanna come with me, I’m gonna go find Lin.”
As she got up she brushed her butt and her legs off, stretching she waved at the waiter, “You can keep the change, thank you for the meal!” She laughed as she walked out the door, she was so happy that Lin was alright and just went for a walk, looking around the town she saw a hill just outside of town that at the very least would give them a good view of the surrounding area, and maybe she would notice that majorly blue bow she was wearing. Without even really checking if Adell was behind her or not she set out down the street towards the outskirts of town. Holding the hotel key in her hand she was excited to find Lin and get to bed. The night had been so eventful for her so far that she could hardly handle a whole lot more excitement. She put her hands behind her head and relaxed a little slowing her pace so that the younger Mist ninja could catch up with her. “So, I don’t really know that much about you, have you always lived in the Mist? Or were you born somewhere else?” She was speaking to Adell again even though she didn’t know he was there. It had been such a weird journey for her since she left the Shinobi Academy, or even since she had left the Mist Village to enroll in the Academy in the first place.
Everything from Lin just up and leaving for a walk to her mother’s disappearance, even as far back as her father leaving her and her mother had been incredibly great for such a small time ninja, for someone who hadn’t learned a jutsu until she was fourteen years old, old enough for some people to even be Chuunin. There wasn’t really too much more that she needed to have happen to her since she had had such an eventful life already. There was more to it than just that though, it was more about the future for Inari, it was about finding the Akatsuki and following in her father’s footsteps to become a powerful ninja worthy of bringing the Amarante name into story and even legends. There was only the future to look forward to, a thought went through her head that considered even leaving Lin tonight and taking Adell to the place her family’s roots lied, the Hidden Cloud Village, there was a grave there that she wanted to visit. The plan for now, however, was to see if they could find Lin and develop a plan on where they were going to go from the Sound Village, and if they were all going to stay together or not.

Adell Terumi, THE GREATEST NINJA IN THE WORLD, wanna-be... Adell had readily noticed as Inari's intoxication began to fade. He was uncertain of the reason, but she appeared a bit less and less happy. But when he gave her those compliments and words and admiration and adoration, she seemed to perk up again. Inari's thoughts were certainly on the mark. He would fight with everything he had for her well-being. He cared for her, and that was the case. He saw the smile on her face, which made him smile with blush. He glanced down as her hand reach across the table towards his. His own rose carefully, touching hers. “Adell, you are too much sometimes, you don’t have to talk to me with such adoration seriously. I’m just a woman, just the same as anyone else. There’s no reason to hold me on such a pedestal, or are you always this nice?” Adell looked down, blushing even more as he answered. "Honestly, not quite this nice. But really, you aren't just a woman. You are brave, intelligent, caring... and... well..." He hesitated, actually a bit nervous as he answered this, "Beautiful..." As she withdrew her hand, her attention moved to a piece of paper. Adell snapped out of the situation and looked up to see Ame come in. There was anger and worry in his eyes. He yelled as he asked Lin, "Inari! Where the hell is Lin? Where is she, now?!" He had quickly drawn the attention of nearly everyone inside the resturant. In the distance, however, a Large explosion could be felt. Ame's eyes grew serious and he turned on his heels, before rushing out from the building. Inari looked at her own piece of paper, however, and she relaxed, seemingly not being concerned by the tremors from the explosion. “Lin’s ok, she saw you on her way out of the restaurant apparently, did you see her?” She said to the both of them just before Ame had rushed out, seeming to have barely heard her. She reached to her wallet and pulled from it, a small bag, which he assumed was full of money. “They can just keep the change, wanna come with me, I’m gonna go find Lin.” Adell lightly nodded to her, glanced towards the door, knowing Ame was long gone, likely towards the scene of the explosion. As Inari stood up, Adell did the same, almost copying her in how he brushed off himself, glancing to her every few moments. He then brought his gaze to the waiter, whom she waved to, telling them, “You can keep the change, thank you for the meal!” Adell waved as well, chuckling slightly and walked after her from the building. He had to catch up with her, seeing her head turn towards a hill in the distance. He caught up after her as she made her way quickly down the streets, not looking back to him once. He could see that she held a key in her hand. To where, he wasn't certain. She brought her hands behind her head, slowing her pace. Adell caught up readily, now walking beside her. She asked him, out of the blue, “So, I don’t really know that much about you, have you always lived in the Mist? Or were you born somewhere else?” "I am proud member of the Terumi clan. The Mist village is my true home. I've never really gone anywhere else until the Academy." He answered. He then asked her "So then, what about yourself, are you a natural born member of the Mist?" He asked her curiously. His red eyes followed her form gently as they made their way towards the hill in the distance. His family wasn't quite as exotic, although they did contain not one, but two kekkei genkai. His life in the mist wasn't perfectly normal, but he had no family members within the akatsuki, as far as he knew. His clan had faced the belonging and not belonging that comes with having a unique traits like they did. It was he whom went out of his way to make his life interesting. He was one whom lacked formal talent, but did manage to adapt and even excell in the chaos of battle. He was more a warrior, one could say, then a ninja, at least compared to others his age. He had proven though, that he could use stealth with the rest of them. 21477 SP/chakra Spendable skill points: 627 Pressure Palm- 500/500 Rising Knee- 250/250 Descending Hell Technique- 700/700 Great Exploding Current- 627/700 Seaside Projectile- 0/700
